With the election in 2 days Zelaya is a has been. The resistance is almost dead, having only a few hangers on. I just returned from Honduras talking to people in 15 different cities. People everywhere want elections so they can be done with the crisis and Zelaya. When I see reports on Honduras such as this video I wonder if the people making the video have ever even been to Honduras. I've spent a lot of time in Honduras the past couple of decades and it's as peaceful as it has ever been.
A criminal coup regime is never to be negotiated with.
The proud people of Honduras is they wish democracy should attack and kill the criminal coup regime and make it clear that they will never accept another criminal coup regime in their country.
OH AND DIDN'T THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH GET THE TAB FOR G20(DEMOCRACY CAN'T BE ALLOWED AND IT'S DRAINING RESOURCES) 2 wars and hundreds of bases we could cut the visible(on the books) defense budget in half and feed, house and educate the world. Bill Hicks
This is a circus. I live here. And believe me, It's A fucking circus. All those people marching with their white shirts and claiming to want Democracy...They have no clue what they are talking about. Wonder if they think kicking a president out of his country (which is against the Honduran Constitution, by the way) is Democratic?
Our media is COMPLETELY biased. and those that weren't were shut down.
So.. now you also go to jail if you advocate non participation in the election? And of course, you go to jail if you support Zelaya, or if you support someone who supports Zelaya.
That's quite an election - you have the right to choose... as long as you chose what they want you to choose.
The Truth is the Honduran people want a democratic process where THE PEOPLE CREATE THE CONSTITUTION. Micheletti is nothing but a dictator who took power by military force. Military force that was trained in the USA Ft. Benning, Georgia School of the Americas.
The people want Zelaya back with making their own decisions on what they declare their own laws.
The USA did not use the constiution laws of Spain or England, they created their own constitution. This is what the Honduran people want.

Zelaya is just another wannebe Hugo Chavez-style dictator. What occurred is not a "coup." Rather, it was a removal of the President according to the Honduran constitution. Screw these fascist leftists.
funny that you speak of "fascist leftists", when it was the far-right who coined the term and implemented it in history of humanity. Fascism implies "anti-leftism", by the way, hence you are clearly an anti-left, intolerant fascist by stating such a thing. You have no idea what you're talking about, ignorant moron :)

propaganda crap...How can this be a coup when the president was looking to change term limits . Their supreme court ruled his actions "illegal " and the military ousted the dictator.... Enough with the US media propaganda crap for god sake... some real news...
How do you explain the sheer number of people out on the street? How do you explain the police beatings, the shutting down of radio stations and other media? "The military ousted hte dictator?" You're joking, right?
Al Giordano is so full of shit. What was needed in Honduras was one full insurrection to overthrow the coup regime, he's been promoting some Sesame Street view on his website where he believes only peaceful marches and some counter referendum which the govt will never recognize will work to overthrow the coup. What was needed was a leadership within the resistance with a platform which should have called for a general strike when Zelaya returned to paralyze the coup and then a full insurrection.
I don't think that was Giordano's purpose. His help has been of immense value to the Honduran peoples and he has unmasked so many things about the coup regime, I cannot even finish counting them. A fact is that peaceful marches did take us to be listened to by the international community and being taken seriously, even if most of their help was useless for most of the part, but at least people around hte world know that the coupsters had NO excuse in repressing our peoples.

Where are the unions in Honduras? Why don't they organize a general strike? Hit the ruling class where it hurts!

How much of a fair presidential political campaign can be organised and run by pro-constitutional reform groups, in one month?
With the same golpista military around?
With the same collaborating judiciary that has been imprisoning people for demonstrating?
With the same threats against independent media and activists?
In one month?
