  • Japanese people react very aggressiv when you wanna make them clear, that they exterminate this species - 80% of the world wide catch of red tuna goes to japan! They don't care!

  • i WISH scientist develop a hybrid tuna -- a full muscle kahuna mix with MERCURY ...sort of KRYPTON used by superman.

japanese a pure evil depleting ocean resources

  • using a katana to cut fish....AWESOME!

  • @tigran914

It is not with a katana.

    That is a tuna knife.

  • @WadEpsilon does it matter? and anyway, Japanese people used to use Katanas(Japanese Swords) for pretty much everything and at the time and even today there are many multiple sizes and forms of Katana, I use katana for it because i like saying the word, and besides you're Japanese i doubt i need to give you a history lesson on your own people

  • @tigran914

Although both are alike, a katana is the form which was curvated unlike the tuna knife.

And a kitchen knife is the structure where elasticity is stronger than a katana.

The edged tool of a movie is form more nearly linear than a katana.

  • @WadEpsilon true but calling it a Katana doesn't actually signify one single type of blade, there are Wakizashi and other types as well, correct? i'm sure at some point someone referred to these blades as a katana, or even used one to perform the same act

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. hahahaaaaaaa. its like they've never seen fish before. they must be making a lot of sushi.

  • what about worms in raw fish?

  • @Corsten79 They're very tasty and fresh too.

  • I have never eaten sushi can any one tell me do they really use raw fish ?how can any body eat raw meat? if it is true!

  • @drdukeful Try it when you have a chance. Raw fish served as sashimi is eaten by millions.

  • @ribaldi is it the other ingridents in sushi that make it such a favourite ,my sis had it she said it was awsome but i just kept on thinking about the raw fish.any way you said it , this time i will dig my teeth into it.thanx.

  • @drdukeful what are you 10? i understand never eating raw fish because it's a choice but to ask if it's true that people eat it is kind of like a dur dur question. raw fish (certain kinds) is delicious. in my opinion it tastes better raw than cooked, and if I could, I'd eat it every day.

  • @noyzizi dud i always thought they must be putting it in some stuff like vinegar ,raw flesh may contain E-Coli which can kill humans.thats why i asked .can u plz tell me the kind of fish which tastes good when eaten raw or in sushie .thanx

  • Dude is actually using a sword for this episode. Nice!!!!

  • @popcorn4two hatori hanzo sword

  • @mrceebees14 they usually roast the head whole and serve it to whom ever orders it

  • @doughnutguy82 Nice.

  • don´t worry! in 15 years it all will have an end-because there will be no tuna anymore.

  • Horrifying.

  • Tsukiji Fish Market is amazing

  • huge fish i wonder if it can eat a human O_o

  • That's right, the right way to get this done is with a samurai sword ^__^

  • yummy

  • I really don't like this!!

  • O_O holy jc that's a huge effing fish.

  • wooooooo wwwwwwwwooooo aaaaahhhhhhh aaaaahhhhhhh

  • haa the guy cutting the fish is the same guy on the wikipedia article. Is he famous or something among fish mongers.

  • I like NY steak...

  • I've been to the market, it's very impressive--I do not really like the fact that so many Bluefin are harvested per year, since they are critically endangered at this point. It's a pity that any sushi restaurant worth its weight has to serve Maguro, otherwise these majestic fish might stand a fighting chance.

  • no wonder the blue fin tuna is getting extinct

  • that a freaking SHARKK! dam that thing is big.

  • That tuna head would make a great party costume. Good work preparing it as well.

  • how much would a chunk of that fish cost?

  • Japan has also done everything it can to secure the extinction of bluefish tuna.

They also illegally trade in whale meat.

  • this knive looks so scary

  • che roba...

  • huwoooo sugoy jajajaja

  • how come its fin is yellow?

  • @luphin Yellow-fin-tuna :P hard?

  • @ChronicMist it's actually a Bluefin tune, yellowfin doesn't get that big and its meat isn't that red. the fins are yellow-tinged probably due to the environment it lived in or simply because being out of water for extended periods changes its hue.

  • asians eat anything

  • @ryancs1982

    You're a fucking moron

A fish is a fish. Asians eat anything but shit holes that your sluttery white bitches always crave for licking

  • LOL He's using a samurai sword !!!!

    KUSO!!!!!!

  • @anon69 yea right... you believe everything your government says? what's next? if they say the Big Mac is healthy you'll eat it every day?

  • @ChronicMist

don't see how that comment deserved such disdain; the commenter seemed genuinely concerned about mercury poisoning and so what if it's according to American standards? at least we protect the endangered Bluefin Tuna populations more than other countries operating large fisheries. seems like pointless America flaming to me :P

  • Hahaha they are clapping every time he cut a piece of the fish LOL

  • now THOSE are cooking knifes :)

  • is.. that like a serrated katana?

  • A 233kg Giant Bluefin sold for over $177,000USD at Tsukiji last Tuesday 5/01/10

  • The fish market of Tokyo will move from Tsukiji to Toyosu.

The new market yard has been polluted by toxin. After 2012 you can't eat sushi in Tokyo.

  • you like also italian food?

  • That was truly amazing

  • time for dinner

  • why thy are clapping?

  • because it is a incredible event to witness and the knife cut right through the thick bones

  • her in cabo san lucas mexico 1 kg cost about 8 dll and in japan that its about 500 dolars its so gnar

  • same ex way to clean a smaller tuna...you just need a super size fillet knife..dam...you can tell he've been doin it for years..clean ass cuts!

  • I think it's kinda cool how they don't seem to be wasting anything.

  • thats cos the blue fin tuna fish can cost up to $100,000 dollars per fish.

Look it up, its amazing how much some people would buy a fish for !

    (its also going extinct)

  • wonder how much their knives cost...

  • that big one, im guessing about 4-6000 US. i just bought a 300mm one for 350usd.

  • you 2 buddy

  • Right with ya Chief! :)

  • gonna save this video to show my grand kids what 'used' to swim around our oceans!! Nice fish though, ut's sad that our fishing practices are so shit and will lead to their demise.

  • was he cutting it with a Samara sword?

  • No, the first knife you see is the long 'magurokiri' knife (tuna cutter) or 'hancho hocho', and the second is a bone saw. The really long one is an oroshi hocho that they take the first loin off with.

  • 最低の人種差別主義者

  • ¿Where was fished? May be in Cadiz - Spain.

    Big tuna

  • they dont use foreign tuna for sushi, use tuna of aomori or okinawa in Jpn mostly. those are most popular and expensive of course.

  • Whoa wth...that's a big fish... or issit because the guy is small in stature? Nice prep anyway

  • GHOST IN THE DOOR.. YEAS..

  • I have mad respect for those guys. They make it look so easy :)

  • haha. listen to all the 'oooohhhhs'

  • hahahahaha i know huh!! hahaha oooohhhhh uuuuhhhh!!! then the clapping!!

  • tuna is maddddd expensive more the 15k this fish is deffff sushi grade tune goes for like 75 dollars a pound

  • that tuna must cost a lot of money

  • dont know how accurate this is but on a tv show i saw they said they sell a fucking tuna for 150,000 us dollars to japan, i swear mighta been a mistake tho...lol

  • the highest price paid for an actual tuna was for a 202kg tuna sold for 20.2million yen which is $206,119usd in 2001

  • 1:21 old dude almost chopped his dick off lol

  • wow... they not only feeding thousands... but they made the cutting of tuna into an art.... very cool..

  • massive! and looks delicious ;D

  • lol hes using a freaking katana!

  • oh my god!! hahha thats huge!

  • no it aint huge. Tuna only grow to 18 inches in length. Those people are just very very small.

  • oh God ...call Batusai himura or samurai shamploo!!!!!!!!!!!!! kiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

  • this is why japan is awesome..!!

  • indeed !!

  • how are they soo big??

  • Deep water fish grows to extreme proportions relative to their shallow water cousins.

  • Pacific bluefin tunas can reach 1,200 lb while the Atlantic variety tips the scale at 1,500 lb.

  • they are moving and eating all the time, the never stay calm/still in the water the eat so god damn much to stay alive, thats why they grow so big :)

  • wow thats one dull samuria sword lol

  • yeah lol, prolly one of those cheap ones

  • i heard the fish in japan taste different then hawaii. i would like to go to japan and have a sushi taste one day. btw nice toro there ;]

  • Aw man. Now I want a tuna steak.

  • I would love to go to Japan and see these guys in action!

  • Good video, pretty fish =)

  • Tourist's entry is restricted in the wholesale market.

The person who is not the trader must go to the off-board market.

  • There's something surrealistic about watching a flame war about tuna reproductive rates.
