I feel happy these guys, I really do, but why does God choose the people he does? I never had a drug addiction, but I've had other vices of choice. I asked, I BEGGED for God to take it away. He decided to pass and do NOTHING.... Is it just that doesn't God want me? Why does he choose people who do all sorts of drugs, sex, etc. (and are rich), but a guy who tries and asks for help, God doesn't seem to have time for. What gives?

@old80sguy Sometimes we might ask God for help, but we really have no intention of putting the effort to stop what we are doing. Desperation creates a desperate decision for change, God will always help a person, but it takes the person to exhibit self dominion, he gives the strength to end that which is evil in your life, but you need to exercise your free will and abstain from such things and avoid situations that may cause you to stumble. God will not mess with your free will.

I grew up listening to Korn so I've always known who Head was, but I also knew who Michael W. Smith was. I was raised in a Christian enviroment. Knew God from age 10 to 12 but it ceased as I became a teen. I was an idiot. I was drinking, having sex, and smoking cigarettes. I listened to metal and rock and it was all very negative music. When I heard Head had left Korn (I was a huge fan) for God it influenced me big time. it reminded me of what I had with God as a small child. LOVED his book.

I never listened to Korn, but "Head" was/is very much inspired by God, thru the Holy Spirit in this albulm, "Save Me From Myself". It breaks down what really matters in life and how to keep your faith in God "Stronger", than you could ever imagine.
