  • lmao its very true, i hate videos with capos just because i dont own one and making one with a pencil and rubbers sounds like farts

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I would like to thank the many people who are like you.

  • i'm a beguinner guitar player but i managed to play hotel california in one day thanks to your professional, organised, and well done explanation you're a real pro dude thakns a lot

  • @Amine6076 thanks :-)

  • do the other partss have video_?

  • bravo!!!!!!!

  • great vid but it was a pain in the ass trying to just watch your fingers

  • so what ????????? you cant start the song you coz need to remove the capo?

  • ultimate-guitar

  • duuuuuuuuude i'm soooo happy i managed to do it thanks to you ,rock on ppl

  • @avalonsharkful thanks :-)

  • Because of this video I bought a capo :)

  • people who don't like capos cause they don't have them :l

  • how long did it take you to learn this.

  • damn u campo!!!

  • Awesome man..I like it!! but i dont know the finger style u do(beginner) :-p...I know only using pick

  • @RAHULRNB It's an acoustic opening, and acoustic is typically played with fingers. You can play this with a pick though, since as far as I am aware, there are no notes played on non-consecutive strings at the same time. Electric guitars typically use picks, and that's partly why the strings are closer together - picks are much thinner than fingers :)

  • merci excellent pédagogue !!!

  • as long as you can play, what is there more to say...

  • how can anyone learn in silence. whar cords are u playing?

  • yea you should talk, it would have been easier but great video

  • Thank you for this, but you can play this (more easily, very well and with arpeggio) even without capo and in standard chords progression (Bm F#7 A E, G D Em F#7) then strumming play chorus (G D F#7 Bm F#7 Bm, G D Em F#7)

    Best regards.

  • Being honest, i learned this by looking at the last 40 seconds of the video.

  • Why don't you speak it's ten times more helpful

  • @Pt222222222222 not always, it depends of how do you explain especially if you're not british..

  • Thanks for the help! :)

  • Just becouse the eagles stoled this song from jethro tull does not mean it is bad.THE EAGLES AND MANY OTHER BANDS STOLED ALOT OF MUSIC, it is just that they call it "borrowing" , Nothing wrong with that.

  • @bongcats capo is just used because bar chords are a royal pain in the ass so u can play this without one using bar chords

  • great tuitor man.....thank u very much....

  • I HATE CAPOS!!!!!

  • @graphicsolutionsbaja And capos hate you.

  • I am anti capo.

  • @4u250ut why ? the capo is a great element of the guitar player, it can give you an other way of thinking your instrument and it's very usefull. As the open tunings, it allows you to explore new sounds with the open chords. FOr ex, using a Am chord with a capo on the 5th fret is very different from using a Dm barre chord at the 5th fret.

  • @MLRGuitar I understand what you mean..Im just saying i rather tune my guitar or play in different chord...I feel weird using my capo...I guess capo is not meant for me..but I know many loved using capo..anyhow you doing a great work using capo. :)

  • @4u250ut thanks :-)

  • @4u250ut in my opinion it has more style to play without, looks like a boss :D

  • dude is it possible that you can provide a tab for the complete intro. will be appreciated :)

  • A tip for the viewers of this lesson: Activate the CC (Close Caption I think) to get useful information about the tabs!

  • do you have a tab for me?

  • Why don't you speak in your videos, it would be easier

  • I have no capo!> Can i play this without the capo?? huhu.

  • @Bongkats look at the website in the "archives" section, there is a way to do it without a capo :-)

  • @Bongkats Go to a music store and buy one. It's not expensive and useful.

  • Question, i saw you playing this on your website without the capo, what is the difference?

  • @Brandovibe This version with the capo is conform to the original soundtrack, that's what the melodic guitar do. The only difference is that it's played with a 12 strings guitar :-)

  • @MLRGuitar Oh ok, thank you very much. This is supposed ot be on a 12 string? OH good, i just bought one yesterday. Would it be played exactly the same?

  • @Brandovibe yes, play the same, it should be very nice at the 12 strings :-)

  • wow, thanks so much for doing this exactly as you did. pefect format for idiots like me that dont know how to play guitar but want to learn. :) I usually have my guitar tuned half a step down so i slid the capo up one fret. It sounds the same but do you see any down side in doing so?

  • IF SOMEONE wants the tutorial for HOTEL CALIFORNIA INTRO without the capo, respond this comment... LOL

  • @MLRGuitar So the Capo is the black thing that u put on ur string?

  • @SuperPavian IGNORANCE

  • @SuperPavian

I just watched a video of the Eagles playing this song and the guitarist was using a capo for the intro. I think the video was called Hotel California Original.

  • We want Lesson 2 and 3 Please

  • @godfreymano Lesson 2 and 3 are already online ! Look at the website MLR-Guitar(dot)com

  • @godfreymano Go to MLR-Guitar(dot)com --> Click "Lessons" button --> click "Access the lessons here!" link --> click "Hotel California - into" link.

    I just finished lessons 1-3; it's fantastic!

  • This is the BEST! I anxiously await parts 2 and 3. I especially like how you teach just showing the chords/strings with no verbal instructions. Many times, inexperienced teachers try telling you what to do while showing you, and it ends up being more confusing than it is helpful. Thanks!

  • @Nutz0nDaFlop Thanks, the parts 2 and 3 are on the website : mlr-guitar(dot)com

  • @Nutz0nDaFlop my thoughts exactly! So true.....
