  • are you shittin me? there are hardly any boxes on that belt. why can't you guys get them loaded?

you need to quit screwing around and do your damn jobs.

  • @inserenity75 LOL for me it was 8.00 an hour but they promise you a .25cent raise after 3 months and then you cap off at 8.25 for life. Ahhh the good old days at Fedex ground.

  • why fedex crazy fast belt shit

  • I hate how the truck loaders get to have music and us in the unload and sort aisle dont get to have anything except bullshit from supervisors

  • I thought you can't bring any electronics in? When I went for my appointment we had to go through metal detectors and get wanded

  • haha what did that guy yell at the end?

  • How the heck did you get a camera in there?

  • I work for the freight division n we have fun... check my vids out...

  • why is the first dude singing stacked out like a bitch?? UNACCEPTABLE!!! at least at my hub it is.

  • @jts1616 may be a rear door dump stop that he dont wanna step over all morning.

  • looks fun

  • I have a interveiw at ups monday, do you think it'll look right for a female to be a package handler? And where do they start you of at ?

  • Hahahahaha!! Oh man...I can totally attest to this. After almost three years at UPS...yeah...

  • is this a good job for a student in college like me

  • @aserv948 Its hard work, but yeah this job is ideal for people in school. Just remember its hard work!

  • @aserv948 If you can stick with it, its great work. Good pay and a good work out. Just get ready to have your ass beat the first couple days/weeks

  • @lololmao7 lol y u say dat ?

  • @lololmao7 that's the truth! i started out as a sorter and working with really quick unloaders and when we get the mis-sorts coming down the slides...always makes for a fun night! anyone looking to get a job as a package handler should really be ready to work their ass off non-stop. the unloaders don't like to stop.

  • just wondering man, is this shit easy?

  • @evil69760 no it is not. ive been with UPS for almost 9 years so i would know. its a good job but it is hard work. it is really hard on the body. i work the graveyard shift. it always sucks having to wake up at like 3am. i was a preloader for about 6 years and it was hell. thank god i am on irregs now. i handle all the oversized and heavy boxes that you dont send through the system. well anyways if you like physical labor then UPS is perfect for you. if not stay away.

  • i plan on working for ups for a while as a package handler and was wondering since its obvious your a package handler i was wondering a few things?

    1. when you work there are you assigned to unload, load or sort the packages or is it always different?

    2. on vids of package handlers they just get a box and put it in a truck and was wondering how they know what truck since on each container moving down the alley way or something is in a different color and is each color representing a truck?

  • @NARSConductor Usually you have the same job for awhile. Also, there's a label that was put on the box that gives you a truck number and shelf location inside that truck. And you load accordingly.

  • @frogger0528 Jeez at least they give you some kind of info. I worked at fedex ground and it was basically, grab your zip code, load it on the truck and then mark off a stop on a piece of paper if the address was different then the last 300 addresses you just loaded. (Yes I never really was good at getting that right) followed by grunbling cause you guestimates of 300 different stops was off by 9.

  • @NARSConductor No it's not that easy. You need to learn the zipcodes of the areas & they have what is called SQE# that every item is scanned. This looks like fun but unless you are a hard worker don't wast you'r time @ UPS. The job is good but very demanding.Oh, if yo get the job during holidays u will work like a dog. That's why it's only part time & they have 4 shfts.

    Good luck

  • Looks like an easy ass fucking job.. Yeah, the belt is going slow but you aint gotta complain.. All jobs are slow, and that's just life.. If you aint got the patience to work then go ask for government help or apply for welfare or some needy shit..

  • that belt is going hella slow, i used tlo work at fed ex ground and the belt would go like 3 times as fast as that one

  • the only thing i have to say is ups is da shit i work there and i love it every task in my job at first when u start is hard but when u adjust it only gets easier i been there 3 years and yes its right what they say that company wnts more and more which is good for me more hours more money.

  • Nice Vid! almost looks like our metro area! What sort are u at? i work at the West Carrollton, OH hub--yah, it sucks!

  • someone plz hit me up... im gonna be working at ups next month and im supposed to be a pre-loader. just wanted to hear some comments on the position and compared with other positions.

  • @Ro9eRs Its going to be hard as hell my friend. Just don't let those supervisors run over you. Make sure you get the Union Book. Those fucks will try to fuck you over after a while. And if you do good work, you get more work....and more....same pay...but more work. Hit me up and I can help the best I can

  • @2andFoh thx for the reply man i appreciate it... ups called and wanted to see if i was still interested for employment. i told them thx but unfortunately i just got a job recently and appreciate the call lol. i just got a city job in the maintenance dept at the USS Massachusetts which is a restored battleship turned museum. more hours around the same pay and less stress and work at your own pace.

  • @2andFoh What about fed ex express? package handler? pay?

  • @JSlayMusiik They are kinda the same in certain ways. haven't heard any horror stories from them. Give it a shot

  • just waiting for them to call back when they get my background. despite the horrible stories, im looking foward to busting my ass off.

  • @ERIKx466 month later and they haven't called you back yet, hahahahah

  • What building has belts that move that god damned slow and have that amount of pieces on them? My building has about 5 times that amount of pieces and moves 3 times the speed. It's just retarded. United package smashers.

  • I've preloaded for four years now, and I know what you are talking about. Especially at peak when you are going in at midnight (blech). The belt is moving awfully slow though. I work off a boxline and it definitely moves faster

  • man i wish our belt moved that slow... I load 4-5 trucks and our belt is Crazy fast... but i've been doing it for 3 years now so i guess its cool

  • ups is a pretty easy job to get right there always hiring ?

  • its a job, 90% of jobs people hate, just ignor the bull, work safely and ignor all the drama, get your time in, retire and move on

  • I worked as a loader for about a month in a very busy hub. I worked my ass off every singled night, but it was never enough for them. They are money-grubbing and just want to use young people as much as they can.

  • I wish we can get a radio. The noise of those belt loaders at the gateways is all we got

  • lol its deffinently faster than this is showing, this is probably preload.

  • haha fkn fun, what hub is this bro??

  • Comment removed

  • fuck i thought it was more busy than that. but they still do a good job they are the most fast and reliable postal service in the world

  • oh don't worry, it definitely is more busy than that most of the time

  • oh my god ur fucking belts are so slow u guys are lucky all of the belts are on max in my hub

  • Is a package handler an easy or hard job?

  • ups is a hard job all around. ive been with them 5 years and have hated every day. to them, your best is never enough. they are greedy and just want more more more. its very mentally and physically draining.

  • very well put

  • @allthatremains2009 Whah... smallest violin in the world is now playing for the mentally weak.

  • @allthatremains2009 haha i have been with the company 5 years as well and you are absolutely right. UPS sucks to work for, dont get me wrong its a "good" job to have but the corporate sucks! your best is never good enough im in the unload and they are ALWAYS bitching about time. But heaven forbid you unload using the "8 keys to lifting and lowering" because that would take forever to unload a trailer.

  • @allthatremains2009 Wow 4real lol. I just applied for a job at fed ex express. Is it really that bad? I been hearing good and bad reviews. Package handler is hard? Bad? They treat you bad? What's the pay? How them checks looking? Every two weeks? I need answers b/c i may get the job this week!!

  • i used to work at target working on the line similar to this. if this is the normal pace then its alot easier than target, the line was always full of boxes and the pace was alot faster since it was pushed manually by supervisors. the pay was low. and benefits werent that good. and sometimes there was only couple people working on one side of the line. people need to man up working on logistics or dont bother applying in the first place. big plus for me is i dont deal with customers at all.

  • @allthatremains2009 yes i know what your talking about..ive been there for a while as well and your best is never enough..most employees dont know their rights as a union worker and ups takes full advantage of it...greedy bastards

  • @piffblower69 It's the same as a Fedex package handler. Show them you're a hard worker and you they'll just work you harder. Package handlers are under payed and over worked.

  • @allthatremains2009

What are you saying? It's an exciting job! It's celebration everyday!

  • damn you guys have more fun than us too. Also I wish we had that easy of a flow on the belt.. they annihilate us

  • all the videos ive came across so far inside centers and hubs/you guys have way more fun than us and i see you guys marking the sides of the boxes so im guessing yall dont have the spa labels or imprinters?

btw im out of so. fl (3306)

  • Is this job easy or is it complicated? Is it just moving one package to some area?

  • ahh yes...i remember ups. I got ripped working there. Helped my basketball 3-point accuracy too! And the friday group breakfast was always something to look forward to after the twilight shift.

  • Finished my first day/shift a bit ago and what the eff. Two guys no-showed so instead of watching training videos I immediately started unloading, sorting and eventually working the belt loading trucks. Love the pace but I'm already forced to do the majority of work because my supervisor is a 5' tall princess who cannot lift over 30 lbs. Great 4 hour workout and all but damn... busting my ass this hard might get old really soon.

  • You will get used to it! But them having you sort on your first day..... Not very smart on managements part unless they want miss sorts>>> if your really did sort more than 3 ways talk to your shop steward they owe you an extra dollar an hr for that!!! Good luck

  • in germany the conveyor belt runs much faster. i have seen some vids now on utube with UPS guys at work and everything seems to be much cooler. want to hear musik and singing loud and bad like the guy in this vid too! :D

  • Yo I went to the tour today and in the whole place it was really intimidating a lot of black people and crumby looking old ladys (or really big ladys that look like men) and the benefits and money seem so worth it. I can sorta lift up to 70 pounds (able to lift it with my benchpresser) but it's not like I am very strong at all. Is this job worth it? I was planning on becoming stronger but atm it seems dangerous and out of my zone. What do you think man.

  • Get some confidence and grow a pair... bust some ass, you wuss. With an outlook like that you'll get eaten alive by management. Never mind the rest of it.... I doubt they offered you a job... Did they?

  • Iuno I went to the tour last tuesday, waiting on the interview call or part. If I do get the job I am prepared to haul ass for it, the first few times will be rough though.

  • Bad news man. You probably would've got offered the job already. They probably sensed you were intimidated. That's why I responded the way I did. From the minute you walk in to UPS(or any employer) for a job you got to act like you can kick some ass. If you really want it go back down there and go get it!

  • Oh shit o_o

W/e I was planning on applying to Toys R' Us as a back up LOL

  • hey frogger, i got a question man, ive been applying for a package handler job online and for the life of me cant get a call back. what would you recommend i do. do you think its a good idea to go in there and ask for a tour of the facilities and go from there. im not sure how it works. alright thanks man.

  • for one you'd have to know someone. my brother has been a driver out of ontario CA for 7 years so i got in pretty easy. plus you can't be a little pussy bitch. it's hard work (for 3 to 4 hours a morning or night... or some centers up to 8 hours)

  • lol thanks man, its all good, im a pretty big and strong guy so i should cope well. idk anyone, but im not above asking a ups driver for help when they come through my current job.

  • today will be my 3rd day as a package handler.. im sure i can handle it but its so intimidating so much machinery and its so faced paced.. so far last two days have been sitting on my ass watching cheesy training videos... hazmat this... safety that ugh... any tips?

  • Quit now before you are stuck there forever. Every little motivation you currently have for living life will be sucked out by UPS.

  • I have the only TP60 at my center but I'm a superstar and do 5 Trucks in 2 different citys and 2 satellite drivers for the TP60

Current daily packagess is like ~6000

  • are you kidding me i wish my line was that fun i just want to kill my self loading a huge mall truck plus residentials love hate job btw the markers suck so glad my hub decided not to enforce them any more

  • It's not this fun anymore. At the time we were switching over from a Chart loading system to the current PAS system. I want to kill myself most days now, but I've been there so long can't quit now.

  • yes the MALL truck here sucks 2 TP-60s worth of bawls!!! oh and same w/ WALLY ... that PAS system is fun you can name a route whatever you want! yes working at ups is a love/hate relationship.... too late to quit now tho!

  • I gotta go to one of their tours in a few days, I pray the job isnt as shitty as everyone makes it seem.

  • What is wrong with your belts ours move 5times faster tan that. True dat on the sore back comment. also you can get FIRED FOR taking pics, been loading for a year and a half. its not too bad but sometimes it gets old. do about 1500 pieces to 2500pieces depending. plus Iregs. 70-190 lbs

  • Better be careful with that camera I've seen a few people fired for taking pics

  • ya its not allowed for some reason.

  • Worked there..for a month?.....this is the place people go who gave up on their dreams..seriously >_> people walk out of there holding their backs (people who worked there for years)....pay isnt that great for the amount of work you do...good experience though...the class when you first get hired is 10x worse then the actual work though =| go figure.

  • drivers make 70-80 grand a year, have full benefits, pension and a union. i know feeder drivers who make 90-100 grand a year, with a GED. you can not beat that.

  • yes but you have to wait for 6 years. and if you go the route of management then you'll never be a driver. Also you're easily replaced as theres other people who want your slot so if your not on your game then you're fired...

  • That belt looked slow as shit.

  • Really slow and empty- people in this town need to watch more QVC!

  • this is why the suck i havnt got my Ipod touch yet

  • I'd hate to work for UPS....

  • manager says hey you got any condoms???????????

  • funny video. im on my 2nd week of workin. it is pretty hard at first but ur body gets use to it. they started me out on the as a splitter loading only 1 truck.

  • I load 4 trucks and lift the slide. That sucks hardcore. Then they yell at me when things get messed up, or to move faster; but in PCMs the tip is move quickly but don't rush yourself into making mistakes or having an injury.

  • i jus got hired for this job part time and i cant wiat to start

  • Here's some words of encouragement. Only 1 out of 10 new hires actually stay. But those that do stick it out get good opportunities in the future.

  • yea well thanx n im also a college student so i should be good

  • n also my job is from 6pm to 11pm

  • think of it as getting paid to work out.

  • that looks fun to me haha

  • was that a manager yelling at the end?! I just applied for a part time handling job. Early morning shift.. Is this job not good for a college girl? LEMME KNOW!

  • It's a fast pace job. It's stressful and you can get yelled at constantly. It doesn't bother me, you just have to know it's coming and pretty much ignore it. I think it's great for someone who's in college. Most college ppl; if they stick it out, actually stay working at UPS cuz the money is better. But this is a small center I'm not sure how it is at bigger centers.
