  • thats how i feel... i don't sell my gold

  • I am going somewhere in Pennsylvania to go gold panning. I hope I at least hope I find small nuggets or a couple grains.

  • Great to have the kids interested in such. This is a hell of a lot better for them than sitting all day infront of a computer! Good luck in your search, you are in some prime territory if you are around Big Bear, CA.

  • Nice video, but gold was first discovered in North Carolina. It was the largest producer of gold until the California gold rush.

  • very nice vid, Thanks!

  • In my locality have huge gold treasure .Many people panning from there. If u interesting cantact me.I will arrange allllllllllllll.

  • The first gold ever discovered in America was in 1799 in NC. On the reed property, Reed's son found a 17 pound nugget in the creek and they used it as a doorstop for 3 years before he sold it for $3.50 a year later he started the first gold mine in America. The famous Reed mine. The first official gold rush happened in 1828 in Dahlonega GA. This lasted until the late 1840's when gold was discovered in CA. Everyone left GA for CA and CA took the credit for the first because it was the biggest.

  • Nice video!!! Where are you from? I'm in AZ. Good gold here a lot is fine but all adds up. Well thanks for the great video with much information. One of the best videos I've seen in a while. Super job!!! What kind of dry washer do you have and which is the best manufacture of dry washers on recovery in your opinion. Thanks my man. Take care and let your pan be very yellow the next time you go!!!

  • i think that the waters going to fast over the sluice

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD

  • 2 words LOW CAL

  • does every creek have gold or is it a matter of finding the right spot what signs do you look for

  • @semaj175 There is a saying that "there is gold everywhere - just not that much in every spot".

As they say, you need to "read" the landscape, rivers.. There is a lot of information on this.

Noone said it's easy, but as with anything, you get better as you do it :)

In addition, people have stumbled upon the strangest things in the strangest places, so you might be lucky too.

Some learn that there is more gold in selling stuff to seekers ;p

  • Chuck Norris ain't got nothing on this guy....

  • WTF r u talking about gold was discovered in georgia. georgia had the first us major gold rush

  • Great video! Simple and to the point... "A pan some water and some patience", of course some skill in panning and sluice box technique helps too.

  • Nice...

I'm glad to see that there are people who do something because they love it... The journey is as important as the destination...the thrill of the hunt.

Glad to see your son has the bug as well..

May you find the mother of all nuggets...

  • i wish there was gold in europe!!!

    great video!

  • How can you tell if it is gold or not?? Sometimes a rock might look like gold.

  • @odee900 To be safe keep it, But when you find real gold you know its real, It has a gold yellow that's unmistakable. Gold can also be a rusty color. So be careful.

  • Excellent , all about enjoying yourself.Youre welcome too come prospecting in Aussie anytime.

  • This video is awesome, thanks for all the info. I need to get out in the streams and start digging!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

  • I wish you luck! Find lots of nuggets!

  • I think I would really enjoy prospecting for gold like this. Making a dry/air washer looks like a very cool project to make something useful out of a restored briggs lawnmower engine. I think it would also be very fun to dig for crystals or other cool rocks etc.

  • Golden New Mexico 1825... First US gold rush!

    Was there just today..

  • whoa whoa whoa gold was not first discovered in california! IT WAS IN GEORGIA >:(

  • @chestateegold

Actually, Gold was first discovered in CA in 1775 by Spanish prospectors. But Gold Mining first began in the United States in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina in 1799 at Reed's Farm and led to the first 'gold rush' on the East Coast. Gold was later discovered in GA in 1828 and in larger quantities than the NC finds.
