The "future" os shouldn't be obsolete at launch. Hello, wake up guys. Android is launching similar hardware as WP7, but android actually supports Multitasking, Copy&Paste, Tethering, and their phones have front facing cameras which is the FUTURE. I feel sad for people buying phones with WP7 os. The only thing new and futuristic about this is... wait NOTHING. WP7 currently lags behind in features. Don't be fooled by the millions of dollars they spend on advertising.

All windows 7 phone run on the LATEST hardware which are really fast. 1ghz processor and 512mb ram etc are like the minimim requirements for windows 7.

Android, on the other hand has a variety of phones and some of these android phones (low price) do not run on 1ghz processor or with 512mb ram. But if you match the hardware specs of the android phones with that of windows 7's, you will see that they are not at all laggy. Heard of the samsung galaxy s?

@haroonazeem638 Even with the latest Cynagen mod your gonna experience lag. Put a decent music collection on your phone. Now load the music and scroll to the bottom, similar jumping problem. Now click shuffle all and click next for the next song. See how slow the transition is? The album art even comes in late. Load a decent website and scroll to the bottom and still the same problem. Now those mods do make it faster, it doesn't limit the latency or jumping you may experience.

@krjcook To be honest with you, I don't experience any lag on my samsung captivate. just to clarify, im not using any lag fixes either and im on the rogers captivate which is comparison with the at&t's version is excellent.

Also, you cannot overlook the features included in android vs windows mobile 7(update coming soon).

@haroonazeem638 I haven't overlooked the features the Android has over WP7. I own an Android device, the Cliq. It sucks ass. I hate dragging and dropping for music. Rather have a music management system like Zune do it for me. I also want to play more games. Thats where android has been lacking in the last couple years. The only feature Android has over WP7 is multitasking and built in Navigation. Everything else plus more is coming in Jan.

that's half of what the captivate has. Android 2.2 software alone doubles up the performance that you get in 2.1 and you have what? 1.5? Not to mention the hardware that the CLIQ has. You can't just say android sucks just because you own a cheap android device.

You should thank android for atleast giving u an option to buy a cheap android phone unlike iphone and windows phone 7.

What is so special about this? Android has the *best* voice capabilities, and it has had them for a while. I can say "Text Laura: 'Hey Laura exclamation mark what's for dinner question mark'". It will pick up all of that and come out to be: "Hey Laura! What's for dinner?" ...and, since they used Google Voice to capture how people say different words, you can say it with any voice and any accent/tone/etc. you want. This is why trusting Google is GOOD.

@haroonazeem638 I actually had a HTC Desire and HTC Hero before I had my iPhone and its a good OS but its full of errors and slows down when you install apps. With the iPhone you can install as many as you want and it won't slow down. And Windows Phone 7 doesn't look like its gonna be slow and full or errors.

They need to sort out the basic stuff before adding other stuff.

@jesse1779, Bing is actually 'very' different from Google. Their algorithms are much smarter especially now that they've partnered with Facebook it's only going to get better. Their advertising platform is also 10x better than Yahoo and Google, they just need time to mature.

Windows Phone 7 reminds me of Longhorn Beta. It was designed to be very user-friendly and have an inviting user interface. And Vista is a great operating system in my opinion.
