  • the old guys accent seems to have been alot better than the blonde's.

  • I hope I never get stroke, other than the fact that no one wants a stroke I fear if I do survive and get a foreign accent it'd be an Indian one, and I really dislike the Indian-English accent.

  • way to go George...

  • I think her accent sounds Austrian/French.

  • what if you sounded like you have a foreign accent?

  • I TO HAVBE FOREIGN ACCENT SYNDROME ,I HAD TO LEARN TO WALK AGAIN AND USE MY RIGHT HAND ,,MY SIGHT WENT ,AND MY VOICE ,SOMETIME I CANT SPELL TO WELL ,,BUR I AM LUCKY TO BE ALIVE , SO WHAT I SPEAK DIFFERANTLY WITH AN ACCET ,,,BUT AT LEAST I CAN SPEAK ,,ALL YOY CAN DO IS GET ON WITH LIFE ,,,, JUNE ,,XOXXOXOXOXO

  • @simpler43 Does it also make you type in capitals? How terrible.

  • He sounds like my grandfather! He is an Austrian-Kiwi. I love her French accent :)

  • This is VERY FUNNY STUFF!!! GOOD LOL'S

  • I make constant speech errors reminiscent of a dozen different accents, because everyone around me is from somewhere else. Canadians sound foreign and foreigners make me feel at home.

  • @TheSomnambulist06 I'm glad it is not just me. I spend so many years being friends with Spanish and Chinese people that when I talk I don't have an accent but people still think I am foreign.

  • My friend has just been diagnosed with f. A. S and she in Scotland

  • I think she realizes that it could be worse, but I think in some ways people don't realize how much of a problem it could be. She's lost a large part of her identity in a way that people find funny or think she's lying. She still seems to have difficulty getting her point across now and she appears to have been an intelligent, very verbal person.

  • could be ALOT worse, I'd rather have a foriegn accent anyday than have half my body paralyzed.

  • He does sound mostly italian. But not quite. Such a strange syndrome.

  • i thought accents are not important in this world where internet is the dominant way of communication.

  • italian accents are hot. ;D

  • also, i t would be interesting (even if terribly sad) to see in wich way a Polyglot's brain would rearrange itself if it would get affected by sucha disease...would the multilanguage speaker's brain have teh chance to compensate the damage better?

  • i find it strangely fuinny seein how teh Accent works as some sorta "social recognizing badge" upon which people rely, even tho not many people care about their own language "correctness" first hand

  • Don't feel bad guys got the solution for you come to the san Francisco bay area Ca everybody has and accent here even me! Haha nobody will even notice it !

  • the guys accent sounds danish

  • hey my best friend just had this syndrome we are Jamaicans and she as never been to England and is not associated with any British but now she speaks fluent British can anyone who knows about it contact me at 876-373-3947. she just turn 21

  • hey my best friend just had this syndrome we are Jamaicans and she as never been to England and is not associated with any British but now she speaks fluent British can anyone who knows about it contact me at 876-373-3947.

  • Could it be they are just pretentious ?

  • Its bizarre no doubt, but if any of you have moved around a bit, you do pick up little things. Ive lived in 6 countries and I have some nuances of each. I know its not the same thing, but there is a slight parallel with "normal" people.

    Funny though, lets face it.

  • He has an Israeli accent

  • I'm French Canadian but when i speak English it either sounds like i have my normal French accent or sometimes it sounds like an accent from England but English isn't my first language so it's normal to speak it differently at times. :D But this isn't really worth being ashamed of or embarrassed about... it's just an accent, no big deal, geez. Accents are awesome.

  • It's just a brain defect on the speech area.. that makes it look like an accent.. the way she moves her mouth at the same time she speaks..it doesnt seem right..you can tell something went wrong..

  • These two people are fortunate to know what it's like to be foreign... too bad they're foreign in their own country ):

  • I cant believe they put them together and made them talk, just for out amusement...

  • The lady sounds Israeli-French, the guy sounds Italian...

  • 'It compliments your good looks'

    That sly dog!

  • @1592DB IKR

  • accent it is not really important.

  • The man Georges, should be glad. Many ladies love European guys.

  • The man should be glad. Many ladies love European guys.

  • The poor lady, not only did she get a different accent, but a terrible one as well...

  • @dars2607 i know what you mean, an italian accent is so beautiful when spoken.....George's accent isnt so strong as well. i reckon he got quite lucky as stroke victim. kath, my prayers just go out to her....her accent is almost at times uncomprehendable

  • I know it's a horrible syndrome, but both of their accents fit them very well.

  • She has like 40 different accents...

  • fucking taxi drivers

  • Where's that 1st accent from?

  • well at least these two people realize what if feels like to be foreign in a country where people make fun of you.

  • Perhaps the stroke he had caused him to pick up a part of his "past life"? Far out idea, I know but there is crazier things out there still without explanation....yikes

  • wow, i heard other people with this syndrome and they didn't have an accent as pronounced as her. it must be hard... some things she says are a bit hard to understand

  • did no one else notice they were flirting? they're going to boneee!!!

  • he sounds south afrikan now

  • Lol that guy has a cool ass accent

  • I've heard Englishmen with accents like the gentleman has, I honestly can't tell he has FAS...

  • His voice doesn't seem to have changed THAT much. I mean, yes, it does sound different, but it's not like, "OH MY GOD THAT'S INCREDIBLE". Still, my heart goes out to both of them.

  • Bit of a sly fucker really aint he? Using all that Italian charm on her. I know if my accent changed to Italian I'd be charming all the women like he tried to do. Only problem is, he fucked it up!

  • Dan the Dagger-man from Daggenham!

  • personally, i like her accent- i'd love different one

  • This i incredible...possible link that all language is dirived from the one? maybe?

  • I like their accents. :)

  • Kath and George should start a wanna be Italian club

they can eat italian food and drink chiante wine

  • The man has a very nice accent actually... he sounds like an Italian who's lived in England for a while or learnt British English very well.

  • this is horrible :( i was really confused at the beginning of the video but now i understand, how unfortunate i feel so bad!

  • This is really not something to make fun of. FAS is caused by damage to particular areas of the left hemisphere of the brain and causes people to pronounce the vowels and consonantsin words in an unusual way.

I dont understand how people that have no idea about what these people go through can judge them or make fun of them! Especially simcitymoviecritic - obviously you are uneducated and extremely prejudiced.

  • People like you are the reason why I really do not like Americans.

  • im ashamed to be an american

  • Why???....

  • I agree. How could you ever find this funny? I can't imagine how it must feel to be foreign in your own country. It is really nice they met each other though

  • If I had my accent changed from my Texas accen to say a Scottish accent that would be great!

  • @SRone45 lol

  • lol

  • Wow sometimes his words sound like he has a regular american accent and then some sound italian, thats pretty cool..but probably very upsetting for these people who have FAS.

  • feels like a lesser person.. now think how foreign people think..

  • Are you mentally challenged? what gives you the impression foreigners think less of themselves? It feels pretty good to speak a few languages, especially when you know it better than the average native speaker. And if I may add, accents are never a barrier to being great.

  • im just saying.. if u speak the language right people will give u that respect eye.. and most foreign people dont get that respect becouse of their accent. and somehow they feel like if they are less. I NO . i have had experience

  • I hate to sound like an ass but I really dont know what you're talking about. All I've known my entire life is that foreigners are like everyone else. Speaking right is not in the accent, you know that right? Also pronouncing words wrong and pronouncing them with an accent,,,,,quite different. Advice to you......People earn respect other ways like education, morality, integrity and bunch of other stuff. Get yourself up if you've experienced rough edges because it's the only way.

  • Maybe if she learned french, russian and german then she might feel like she is all those things that people thnk she is.

  • actually thas quite a gd idea il give u thumbs up 4 that

  • lol

  • Wow I dont know why I got so many thumbs down just for saying that people love foreign accents.

I didn't say anything bad but I guess it was the last thing to say.

    Crazy people on YouTube.

  • probably because for these people they never sound like they fit in their their home country, speaking their own language. for you in another country its a novelty, but imagine being at home and speaking differently to all your friends and family all of a sudden over night. its not something she can change or control or has any choice about.

  • It's difficult for her but she's lucky, many people can't speak at all after a stroke. She sounds fine, just sounds foreign. If I heard her I wouldn't give it a second thought.

  • Well don't know about that. It's obviously a problem for her. I mean imagine if you couldn't talk the way you had all your life. You'd be embarresed, people wouldn't believe you are who you say you are.

  • not a nice condition but way better than some other ways people end up after strokes.

  • i would love a cool foreign accent - although having it thrust upon you after a stroke isnt cool

  • o fuck yea she got a cool ass accent

    she sounds like tony montana

    is a very lonley place

    awesome...sucks she had a stroke tho :(

  • That's pretty telling about tolerance in societies that are widely considered petty tolerant.

  • i agree - this is not only an interesting study on this phenomena but also an interesting study on tolerance in the UK

  • Well said.

  • you are so right. she has an accent but the same look. and some people who has different accent and look nad try to proove smth everyday

  • hi can you upload the other part of this episode with the guy that wants his leg amputated please i know alot of people that are after it
