You are right. There is no literal verse with this language. How could the Lord hid the date of His return if He just wrote it out? Did you read Dan 12:4? The Lord wanted to HIDE the date of His return UNTIL the time of the end? But How? None of the Words have changed in the Bible in over 1,900 years. The time was hidden in hundreds of verses scattered across many Books of the Bible. Only in our day, can anyone understand this. Pray !!

My suggestion is to be as the Ninevites in Jonah 3, when the Lord revealed He would destroy them in 40 days.

You give Mr Camping far too much credit. The Bible has told us either in Word's or parables, to seek the Lord's mercy thousands of years before Camping was born. After listening to the audio again and again....it does appear that Camping is reaching for reasons to continue on with his belief of the end of the world.....He says "God himself has extended his return to April 3, 1996".....this would not have any effect on me except I have personally heard Camping say that he never gave another date other than 1994 and 2011....rather confusing as I have read all his material and his proofs are impeccable....I will look at the entire picture

I remember it vividly that he was emphasizing Christmas day in 1994 because it was on a Sunday. He refused to be wrong and to save face he mounted this 10 year campaign against the churches. There are churches that are still faithful but in the minority. Many are apostate which is true!

smear tactic taken out of context. This is more or less a brainstorm or a think-out-loud description of a possibility. It was a shock when 1994 didn't happen, he is only human and was trying to figure out what had happened. it wasn't in God's timetable for the rest of the information to be understood. If you channeled your energy searching the scriptures to see what God has to say about the end, you just might find some truth. But you don't. So, Christ will come as a thief in the night for you.

This is not a brainstorm as you say, Harold Camping took no phone calls on the Open Forum for several nights as he built up to this announcement. He's a man traped in sin and won't put the words of Jesus above his own out of context mathmatics. Jesus will not come as a thief in the night for me, I'm looking for him at any moment. It's the work of Jesus at the cross that saves, not a contrived date.

(Mark 13:32-33) Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready. Jesus MANY times had spoken out against date setters. You can not set a date that God does not want you to know and if you do then you are a false prophet.

Since Mr. Camping never claimed he was infallible, this clip proves little. Camping has been the host of Open Forum for 50 years. I'm sure if you seached through the 20,000 hours of audio from his program you could find many so-called errors. Camping regularly admits he has taught many wrong doctrines in the past. This is why our trust is not in what Camping claims is True, but our trust is in the FINISHED work of Christ. IF the Lord has Elected me unto Salvation, I'm GUARANTEED to be Raptured!

From man's vantage point, Salvation is the FINISHED work of Eternal Living God, the Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing left over that WE need to do. Sure, God still has to GIVE new, eternal bodies and souls to His Elected Ones, but we play 0 part in the entire Salvation process. False, man-centered church doctrines claim Christ's work is UNFINISHED, and man must assist in the process. This thinking will be fatal in 18 weeks.

You are right. There is no literal verse with this language. How could the Lord hid the date of His return if He just wrote it out? Did you read Dan 12:4? The Lord wanted to HIDE the date of His return UNTIL the time of the end? But How? None of the Words have changed in the Bible in over 1,900 years. The time was hidden in hundreds of verses scattered across many Books of the Bible. Only in our day, can anyone understand this. Pray !!

You just completely twisted the meaning of that verse! NOWHERE in that verse does it say ANYTHING about the DATE of His return being hidden until the END. Obviously you didn't read Revelation 22:10 - " Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this BOOK: for the time is at hand"

I'm sure that all the followers of Camping in 1978, 1985, 1994, and 2006 all said the same thing too. 2011 is no different than these other dates. YOU need to be praying for your own soul, and those of your loved ones. My prayer for the world is that the Lord's Will be done in each of our lives. The Bible delcares Christ only came for His People, a Remnant of the human race. Meaning, most of the human race, 95+ will be destroyed during the Day of Judgment (May 21, 2011-Oct 21, 2011). My suggestion is to be as the Ninevites in Jonah 3, when the Lord revealed He would destroy them in 40 days.

@WitnessoftheTruth I was already doing that for the past year and I almost has a nervous breakdown because of my constant begging and crying, but I kept praying and others were praying for me that I would see truth, and you know, eventually GOD did lead me to that TRUTH, and that is why I gave up my fretful panic and crying and decide to put my faith and trust in GOD that no matter what happens it is HIS will. You give Mr Camping far too much credit. The Bible has told us either in Word's or parables, to seek the Lord's mercy thousands of years before Camping was born. How is it then that you assign seeking the Lord's mercy as something new? Do you even read your Bible? Your comments demonstrate you don't know the Bible very well. This may explain why you don't recognize Biblical Truth.

After listening to the audio again and again....it does appear that Camping is reaching for reasons to continue on with his belief of the end of the world.....He says "God himself has extended his return to April 3, 1996".....this would not have any effect on me except I have personally heard Camping say that he never gave another date other than 1994 and 2011....rather confusing as I have read all his material and his proofs are impeccable....I will look at the entire picture

Also, you can go the Open Forum archives and hear for yourself that Harold Camping has been telling people that he never had any other date for the end, besides September 1994.
You can hear him say this at the 26:08 mark of the audio recording and listen to the call.
He is bearing false witness to the truth...and is thus lying to many, many souls about what he has been up to since 1994.

By the way.....from what I hear in the audio....is still Camping speaking using the tone of "Maybe".....He does indeed attempt to push the date back....but to be fair to all involved he did not say "Absolutely".....He has never said absolutely with any date but 2011....atleast that I am aware of

This video gives the proof that Camping was was throwing around dates after his failed predictions of Sept. 15-27, 1994 did not come to pass. I remember it vividly that he was emphasizing Christmas day in 1994 because it was on a Sunday. He refused to be wrong and to save face he mounted this 10 year campaign against the churches. It is parallel to the 1844 Investigative judgment of William Miller - SDA

@Jacobrester - Anyone who relies on their church to save them will be lost. Camping created this strawman argument so he can build on it and show how superior his gospel is to that of every church. Those who rely on Family Radio to save them are in the same boat as those who rely on their church. Salvation is through Christ by the election of grace and not acceptance of any calendar. There are churches that are still faithful but in the minority. Many are apostate which is true!
