A Doctor Who/Blakes 7 crossover would have been brilliant.
You could have the Federation invaded by the Daleks, an alliance between Servalan and the Master (it would be fun to see who backstabs the other first), and a strange bluebox appearing in one of the Liberator's storage rooms.
Back to the clip, I thought Colin Baker was a very underrated doctor, his stories were WAY better than Sylvester McCoys.
Well in all honesty, who could watch Blakes 7 and not have Avon as their favourite character :D
There is no reason why Blakes 7 and Dr Who cannot be taking place in the same universe, they are both made by the same people.
The Andromedan invasion in Blakes 7 could well have been a Rutan invasion (shapeshifting jellyfish and enemies of the sontarans, watch the horror of Fang Rock, its brilliant).
Paul Darrow is brilliant and he seems like an interesting and funny guy as well.
@Giradius I thought Colin Baker was ace as Bayban in Blake's Seven, in city at the edge of the world and I wish Colin had played Blake in Blake's Seven instead of Gareth Thomas who pushed off after two years . If Colin had played Blake, he would have stayed in Blakes 7 for longer and it is possible that series might have run for many more seasons than it did it might have had 10 seasons and it could mean Colin Baker would never have been the Doctor there is a thought.
I know, it only because some people hear: Colin Baker was fired in 1986. And then everone searches YT and finds crappy trailers and then they think "Fucking hell, _____ would be better than him".
Truly, Colin Baker was a awesome Doctor but most of his stories (Except Trial of a Timelord) were crap.
Yes, they were, but Doctor Who is still utter brilliance no matter how bad the story is. There's something that redeems every single story. Twin DIlemma? It INSANE! Terminus? Very creepy and lots of symbolism. Love and Monsters? It's funny as hell. The Next Doctor? David Morrisey's incarnation. Ooh, and cybermen. See, there something good in every story.
@BannedFromThisSite That was the thing that made Collin stand out for me. Despite the stories being somewhat rubbish, he carried my interest . I had only seen bits and pieces of Tom Baker's Doctor as a small child and rented the Five Doctors, but the sixth Doctor was the one that really got me into it as a teen and my interest in the series itself has only grown stronger since then.
@sagaofbluewing It's funny you should say that because after watching a few episodes of the 2005 series, the first DW DVD I bought was 'Vengeance on Varos' and that got me into classic DW.
@BannedFromThisSite I think Colin Baker, was ace as Bayban in Blake's Sevn in City at the edge of the world. I think Colin should have been cast as Blake instead, of Gareth Thomas who pushed off after two seasons and let the series down. Colin Baker would never have done what GarethThomas did, if he had played Blake instead. Colin would have stayed around for series 3 and, we might have got a lot more series of Blake's seven what do you think if Colin Bkaer had played Blake in Blake's seven?.
Yes, but he was in The Two Doctors, the story that this trailer is intended to be placed at the end of; just as say the 'Blink' next time trailer would follow 'The Family of Blood' and end with the credits for 'The Family of Blood'
Interestingly, between his appearence in "The Two Doctors" and his tragic death in 1987, Patrick Troughton said that he wanted to return to the series as a moster! I think its a shame they didnt let him, as it would have been brilliant to see his name come up in the credits under a name other than "The Doctor"!
I disagree, I thought Paul Darrow's 'acting' in this episode was atrocious and wouldn't pass muster in a school play. Truly the worst guest star performance in Dr Who. And it pains me to say that because I thought he was brilliant in Blake's 7.
Jevver stop and think he acted all hammy like that BECAUSE J N-T TOLD HIM TO? Honestly, with 'supporters' like you, Paul Darrow certainly doesn't need any enemies! J N-T ran the show like a pantomime and was always telling the guest stars to ham it up. Look at the way Antony Ainley's Master degenerated into a pantomime villain!
I think there were some even hammier performances in the show over its original 26 year run. Like Joseph Furst's portrayal of Proffesor Zarrof, or Graham Crowdens even more hammy turn as Lord Soldeed!
Paul is on record as saying he deliberately sent up the story because the script was so appalling. JNT was furious with him during the recording, but he went ahead and did it anyway and later JNT admitted he was right. Had Paul had any respect for the scipt he would have done it very differently indeed. However he clearly enjoyed himself immensely!
i agree silver nemesis was great one of the best in my opinion this was also quite good and even arc of infinity can't be that bad even though i have not seen that one
Very good, nicely edited. Goes well with the new music. I like 'Timelash' as a story anyway. Keep em coming!

Yeah, it's a pity about Colin Baker. He was a truly great Doctor, but he ended up in one of the worst moments for the show. : /

Absolutely. Colin Baker was a fun actor to watch, but the stories during his run were some of the worst ever written for the series.
