Many people who oppose safe and legal abortion are also opposed to providing any kind of information in sex ed except abstinence only, which is a proven failure. So I would hope that if your solution is "take the fkin pill", you're at least willing to provide information about birth control to the most at risk group, teenagers.

I think that blnsf74 should learn about pregnancy before making posts.i don't know if you have children or not but if you have ever been to a pre natal exam you would know that a baby has a heart beat a that can be both seen and heard by 1 weeks of gestation hence the fact that the legal cut off for obtaining an abortion is 12 weeks after that it stops being an embryo and becomes a fetus.

I think that abortions are not wrong at all under certain circumstances. Nature in its self has abortions. Kangaroos can make themseves termanate a pregnancy if they are undergoing too much stress or have a shortage in food for the season. It is not wrong, it in fact is better that way. We humans have become too human and try to save everything that should be left alone. If the mother is under a lot of stress, then more power to it for ending it to prevent worse things.

@TheIndianDiva7 ofcourse not. but there are morning after pills and i can't imagine anyone begrudging a woman using those if she has been raped. also, some women go on to give birth to babies after rape and give them up for adoption. it is a way for them to gain some control and closure over something horrible. but using rape as your only grounds for abortion is weak. the majority of abortions are not sought for rape victims. those are usually prevented with the morning after pill.

@dmspring1987 some of us have. i was foolish and 17. he was the only one i had been with and only the second guy i had kissed. so this was a shock to everyone. i had a 3.7 gpa and was on my way to college. i never considered abortion. adoption was the only other route i would have taken. but i kept her. it has been hard. i am 27 now and finally trying to finish college. hard does not describe what it is to be a teen mom. but it was all worth it. i could have never lived with an abortion.

A baby is NOT part of your body. Are you part of your house? A baby and it's mother both have different xy chromosomes. And the baby is living. It moves around. Doesn't matter the age. Compare a 7 month baby being born to a baby who is 9 months. They both are alive. One more need more care, but they are both alive. Same goes for a 1 month old baby. If it were born then (which can be considered impossible though), it would still be alive then. It would die just like we die in when lacking oxygen.

@cutehorror Embroyos breathe are able to breathe inside of the womb. The have a heartbeat, fingers and toes. They can start hearing pretty early inside the womb and feel outside vibrations. I know because during an exam my son wasn't as active as they wanted him to be so they used a thing like a buzzer that shock vibrations right on top of my stomach and it made him jump! @cutehorror It's not the baby that causes the nausea. It's the hormones that causes the woman's physical and emotional feelings. Any midwife will tell you that! And not every woman has morning sickness. Every pregnancy is different. True there are some who are more at risk of having health problems be aggravated by being pregnant like diabetes, epilepsy and high blood pressure. But that's why there are gifted doctors and midwives that help make a very healthy pregnancy possible.

The woman's body supports it and does not try to fight it if it's a healthy pregnancy from the start. A parasite is something the body tries to kill off to defend itself. @cutehorror If you want to talk about more of a personal choice I know what can happen when you try to mess with mother nature's design. Abortion has been linked to infections, depression, infertility/becoming sterile (not able to have kids at all), breast cancer and so on and so forth. Psychological trauma as well as physical trauma can happen. Depression feelings can be delayed until up to 10 years and other factors can set in that are similar to ppl who are diagnosed with PTSD.

I believe everyone has the right to make their own decisions. I just had my son 3 months ago. I think that blnsf74 should learn about pregnancy before making posts.i don't know if you have children or not but if you have ever been to a pre natal exam you would know that a baby has a heart beat a that can be both seen and heard by 1 weeks of gestation hence the fact that the legal cut off for obtaining an abortion is 12 weeks after that it stops being an embryo and becomes a fetus.

I think that abortions are not wrong at all under certain circumstances. Nature in its self has abortions. Kangaroos can make themseves termanate a pregnancy if they are undergoing too much stress or have a shortage in food for the season. It is not wrong, it in fact is better that way. We humans have become too human and try to save everything that should be left alone. If the mother is under a lot of stress, then more power to it for ending it to prevent worse things.

@TheIndianDiva7 ofcourse not. but there are morning after pills and i can't imagine anyone begrudging a woman using those if she has been raped. also, some women go on to give birth to babies after rape and give them up for adoption. it is a way for them to gain some control and closure over something horrible. but using rape as your only grounds for abortion is weak. the majority of abortions are not sought for rape victims. those are usually prevented with the morning after pill.

@dmspring1987 some of us have. i was foolish and 17. he was the only one i had been with and only the second guy i had kissed. so this was a shock to everyone. i had a 3.7 gpa and was on my way to college. i never considered abortion. adoption was the only other route i would have taken. but i kept her. it has been hard. i am 27 now and finally trying to finish college. hard does not describe what it is to be a teen mom. but it was all worth it. i could have never lived with an abortion.

A baby is NOT part of your body. Are you part of your house? A baby and it's mother both have different xy chromosomes. And the baby is living. It moves around. Doesn't matter the age. Compare a 7 month baby being born to a baby who is 9 months. They both are alive. One more need more care, but they are both alive. Same goes for a 1 month old baby. If it were born then (which can be considered impossible though), it would still be alive then. It would die just like we die in when lacking oxygen.

I beleive a woman has the right to choose, however, I beleive that, except for the obvious few rare circumstances, abortion is the WRONG choice. And I dont understand how people can say they're not killing anything. your flesh, which is a collection of cells, can clearly live or die, but a fetus/embryo can't? Doesn't make sense to me.

I hate it when people say that abortion is okay, because the fetus isn't really alive and can't support itself. This is so ignorant. If someone where to leave a baby in the middle of nowhere, would it be able to support itself? No, it would die. It is a human. It is alive, and to destroy a life is murder. I know because during an exam my son wasn't as active as they wanted him to be so they used a thing like a buzzer that shock vibrations right on top of my stomach and it made him jump! I could feel him moving around inside. A "parasite" works on killing it's host, but not babies! Babies coexist w/ mom.

And not every woman has morning sickness. Every pregnancy is different. True there are some who are more at risk of having health problems be aggravated by being pregnant like diabetes, epilepsy and high blood pressure. But that's why there are gifted doctors and midwives that help make a very healthy pregnancy possible.

@cutehorror If you want to talk about more of a personal choice I know what can happen when you try to mess with mother nature's design. Abortion has been linked to infections, depression, infertility/becoming sterile (not able to have kids at all), breast cancer and so on and so forth. Psychological trauma as well as physical trauma can happen. Depression feelings can be delayed until up to 10 years and other factors can set in that are similar to ppl who are diagnosed with PTSD.

But that, of course, is not something that can be proven or argued. It's just that even with the idea that the egg and sperm are both living, I can't see either as even potential child. But I must say, I'm not really in the mood for an argument right now either. :)
