The cars are powered by racing engines, but the racing engines are made by Chevy, Toyota, Dodge, and Ford. The cars ae required to run certain amount of horsepower, but the setups and tuning of each individual engine makes them all a bit different. Hope that answers your question.
I'd like to comment on the interaction between The King and Kahne in Winner's Circle. Did anyone else notice the "tension" between the two? I know there has been mention of Kahne leaving after this season (which I think is a good thing if he can get an offer on a top tier team) so I think that plays into the tension. I believe Kahne will leave RPM after this season.

Kasey Kahne is the second most overrated driver next to Dale Earnhardt Jr. Both of them barley wins, they never make the chase and they blame everybody else for not winning. Pathetic. I dont care how many races they have won, how many championships do they have? Kasey Kahne is a winner, but still has to prove he can be a champion. One better than Jr.. Dale Jr. isnt even a winner anymore!!!!
lol, most of these guys are your average joe drivers so what does it really matter. Ambrose, Montoya and Allmindinger are all retired but they are the only ones that have done anything in racing and Kasey (even though he has a great car), Tony Stewart , and Johnson were among the few NASCAR guys that could hold these beast off. Kasey gets props for that & a road course win is worth at least 10 oval wins from a drivers perspective
Kasey is not in a premier ride and has won 10 times over the past 4 years. Not only is he not with one of the major teams but he has no awesome teammates to rely on. I would imagine that he has more wins over the past 4 years than most of the Roush drivers and probably more wins than Stewart, i don't know that for a fact but if not more wins than Stewart he is close. Out of the 43 drivers out there in driver talent Kasey is top 10 easy.
He won 7 times in 2006, 3 times in 2008, 2 times in 2009, and since the Duel still qualifies as a win, he has won once so far this year. That a total tally of 13 times. I am a Kasey Kahne fan. You are right. He has made someting from nothing.
You need to pull that condensing head out of your ass for once and smell the coffee. It's not moreso winning, it's consistency that wins championships, no matter what Brian France wants you to think. Hell, it's possible that you can win a championship WITHOUT winning a single race! It'd be nice to win here and there tho.
