The Milestone has the ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor, which is the same one that's in the Iphone 3gs.

The hero uses the slower Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528 MHz processor which is way past its shelf life.

Milestone has a 480 x 854 pixels, 3.7 inches screen, Hero a 320 x 480 pixels, 3.2 inches, the list goes on tbh better camera , better video only big thing the hero has is the Sense UI which looks way better than the stock Android.

I have a hero and am tempted to sell it to get the Milestone.

@Jabbypants Sense UI is enough for me to get the Hero lol, and the Heros dictionary is amazing, as well as the onscreen keyboard (haven't tried the Milestones keyboard)

This Motorola wins....normally they make complete crap left, right and centre.

Both processors are around 500 MGhz... However MOTO is tunning android 2.0 which is supposed to be better and faster so here hero wins.

On the other hand no one talks about the quality of the camera. MOTO actually eats hero in that sense or any other android as it records full DV quality either 25 or 30 frames so its proper while hero records at 15 frames.

Best android phone is ACER Liquid at the moment as its cheaper and way faster than both phones with reasonable frame rate of 20 for rec
