I can't see why this new Dr. Who isn't called Dr. What or something...Ace and Pete, for me they're Kiss, but I hope this band lives on beyond Cunt and Paul, Tommy and Eric...I just want them to be batman, even when Adam West is long retired. PS thanks uploader, not watched it yet, I'm one of the few that likes the comments as much as the vids. gonna watch it now, look forward to it. The reason why Eric and Vinnie got new makeup was because Ace and Peter still owned the rights to their makeup. In fact Peter was still a partner up until 1984. Not sure about Ace, I think he was still a partner until the early 90's, that is why you don't see his makeup on the KISS MY ASS album. I remember Paul talking about it when KISS MY ASS was released, said Ace's lawyers prevented them from using it.

@JENDALL714 The band and the members all own and owned the makeup collectively. Paul and Gene owned the makeup, but just didn't want to spend money on layers, so they didn't use his makeup for the cover of KMA. I've read every book 3 times over. I know my shit.

Love this era of Kiss! I'm one of the few people that prefer this lineup to the original. Vinnie Vincent is super underrated as a guitarist and technique wise was/is way better than Ace. Like Gene once said as a drummer "Eric Carr buries Peter Criss". The only thing I missed was Peter's vocals on Black Diamond. This version of Kiss was a true metal band and way heavier than the original band imo.

@cliffiez I'm not sure if you're a musician or not, but as a guitar player, Tommy is the best player for kiss for the klassic kiss sound. He's just gotten a bad rap or wearing the makeup. But really, this version of Kiss has won the debate. seeing ace and peter play on the farewell tour was embarrassing for me.

@TheWheelofLife100 Sentiment aside, the reality is that Tommy fits the klassic KISS sound perfectly. He may not be Ace, but he did teach Ace his old licks for the Reunion Tour. Ace blew the shit out of most guitarists in the beginning, but he never realised his immense potential. This make-up issue has really divided fans. We either accept it or bitch about something we cannot do anything about; love 'em or leave' em... I love 'em.

@TheStacyDeVille My problem with the whole Tommy issue is it seems Klein & Eisen encourage him to play in the style of Ace in the studio as well. The lead break on Modern Day Delilah is really just stock spaceman licks..Let's hear him just play, I'm sure it would be better. When I saw the Farewell show in Sydney, Ace was in fine form, I guess the problem with him in the end was you never knew what you were gonna get.

They should come up with new makeup ideas for Tommy and Eric. They came up with to great makeups for Vinnie and Eric Carr. Love all 6 of the mackeup looks. There all cool!

@TheStacyDeVille no one was buying it cause kiss turning into disco drag queens, they left american and abanded their fans, tried to be serious musicians and did a concept album. it wasnt until creatures and the addition of vinnie that kiss started to come back with a real/better sound.it wasnt gonna happen over night.

wish i could hangout with Paul back in those days. Too bad i seen them as larger than just humans or non human or godlike somehow when i was a teenager. They were the largest,coolest,loudest,strong­est,rockingest,heaviest,best-e­st,groovingest band in existance. In My mind.....No band, not Zeppeilin,not a (at that time) small band like black sabbath,not aerosmith,not elo,not kansas,no one could even come close to matching what KISS had to offer back in those days,LIVE or LP form either one.

@97warlock live i totally agree with...but at a musical stand point...kiss is a garage band compared to zepplin,aerosmith,elo,kansas and who ever else you can think of at that time. i am a huge kiss fan..but even i know musically they couldnt hold a candle to those other bands.

@glynnracing79 Its ok though. Music to me in my teen years WAS Kiss. I had no real knowledge of how to play any instrument or sing ....I could only base my opinion on what I seen & heard....and KISS fit exactly what i needed. Hard driving guitars, killer hooks, just cool cool cool. ,dont mind if members of Kansas can play a guitar better,or Bonham is a better drummer.As a band......KISS were the Best... live & the studio albums,Imo.
