Hey man, did you use phantom power when recording vocals through the Pod X3? I am getting the Bean Pod and an Art preamp which does have phantom power so I was wondering if I could go through ther ART and the POD using the Pod preamp sims and the Art's phantom power. I use the ART to warm things up.

Did you run the vocals through the POD at all? Did you use the vocal preamp sims?

@richedie I recorded the vocals with the SM 58 through the POD. Just dry, no FX and no sims, 10 times. So this is not a chorusFX this is a real chorus with a hallFX..

WOW!!! This was done on the POD X3 Live? I just picked one up and am looking forward to using one for guitar, bass and vocals. Did you us anything else or was it X3 straight to board?

@richedie Thanks, I used the POD for the guitar FX. The vocals I recorded dry and added the FX afterwards.

i just wanted to ask you how did you manage to record your guitar and vocals (SM58) simultaneously on your POD? or are you using another interphase as well for your mic? as your pod is recording the guitar..

I recorded the vocals (sm58) and guitar simultaneously on my POD.Vocals hard left and guitar hard right. So you get 2 mono tracks. But now I have a Lexicon I-Onix U42S wich has phantompower for the AT4040. When I need FX on the POD I plug the guitar to the POD and the POD goes into the Lexicon (coaxial).
