  • I like john mcain and mitt romney; they both have good morals.

    Guliani is a quack.

  • i think alan keyes helped the moderator put on her pancake makeup.

alan keyes was awesome. i'm voting for ron paul. the rest of them can go and see who has the best golf game.

  • Damn, that frigid bitch just won't give Ron as much time as Mitt and Rudy and Huck.

  • Lol, 3:22, too funny.

  • ok, call me stupid, but I did not get it, what is so funny?

  • Keyes..

  • lol

  • let tancredo finish you liberal stink bag

  • pause on 3:22/23!!!

  • LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!

  • LOL! omg! LOL!!!

  • Some people talk about the lowered level of discourse being due to time limits. One commenter said debates in the 19th century took hours and had breaks. Good point, but the larger problem are the time limits on questions. The moderator, like a school-marm, interrupting them when she doesn't like them to expand. I get that TV shows are scheduled, but if they want to host the debates they should take them as seriously as football games which often go into overtime.

  • How the message of Freedom is a revolution! Ron Paul is the only candidate talking about this. Personally I am a democrat but changed for the primary elections, but Ron Paul has changed my mind. How his message is revolutionary. How we cannot forget this REVOLUTION!!!! This so called "Revolution" is going to happen anyway because of the evolution of events in time.

  • They all continue to sound more and more like Ron Paul everyday!

  • thank you, researchris2

  • WORST MODERATOR EVER

  • The debate was much more fair than usual. Guiliani did really well(he sounded like Ron Paul). Ron Paul did well too, he got his important opinions out there he usually has no time for. Keyes was annoying but it's good to have him. I thought it was a good debate overall. Too bad candidates lie so much though and viewers are so dumb.

  • Can't belive McCain. His resolution for the other candidates is not to attack or name call.

In the last debate he told Ron Paul that because of people like him Hitler took power.

  • YOUUTBE IS BEING CENSROED TONIGHT!!! I hve had 7 of my posts deleted!!!

  • mccain- "omg don't expose me!"

giuliani- "don't bring up serious issues people might find out!"

  • Boring debate. This wasn't a debate.. this was a TV show showing policy positions compacted into 30-second sessions. A debate should be exactly that.. a DEBATE. Definition of a debate it: a discussion, as of a public question in an assembly, involving opposing viewpoints. No one really spoke to anyone else to confront opposing views. This was more like a speech.

By the way.. Romney did the best.

  • Agree with you that the format sucked, and i wish there was actually debate as well. Disagree that Romney did the best. He's plastic and boring, and most anyone that's even moderately informed realizes he's a fake.

    respectfully.

  • Aint that the truth!

  • I totally disagree. Romney looked like he had to take a shit the first half. Sorry to seem immature, but it is the truth. He did not come off as confident as he usually does. He looked worried and less alive. He also did not have any "Great" responses. Guiliani really did well, but I think he is a lying bastard.

  • The truth is I dont really know why my friends died. I thought I was going to war when I went to Iraq but when I got there I saw day after day thousands of starving and thirsty kids begging for help. While I sat on top of my humv with my 50 cal pointing at people to stay back so we get acomplish our mission which was to stabilize oil fields to produce oil. As they were destroyed we would rebuild non stop.

  • much more fair and balanced than all the other debates and a much more respectful audience, thanks for uploading

  • Moderator 08!!!

  • One of the reasons that this debate was so good was the fairness of the moderator, and the fairness of the questions. I also believe that part of the reason the candidates were parroting Dr. Paul is that they were asked questions they'd never been asked before, and had to think of a popular answer fast.

  • Debate: "a formal contest in which the affirmative and negative sides of a proposition are advocated by opposing speakers".. I've never viewed these as "debates".. but, even more so now cuz they're parroting what Mr. Paul has said all along. Makes ya wonder how long they've held these beliefs!... I agree with the prior poster that there were PERFORMANCES.. as in ACTING. I'd prefer INFORMING rather than PERforming

  • my favorite debate so far. of course it helps that romney performed really well, but everyone seemed much more relaxed than usual.

  • True... Mitt Romney did "perform" as he always does. The guys is like John Edwards, completely disingenuous. The fact that so many people are in the least bit swayed by that sort of charlatan scares me.

  • let me guess...... ron paul supporter? kucinich supporter? and they're genuine, why? because you agree with them? and because they aren't getting mass caucus support, that means they are virtuous?.. i can't respect subjective evaluations, which a character comment is.

  • Actually, I don't support either of those two candidates, but I do respect their conviction of character. Character can be subjective, you are right on that point, but once a person demonstrates their lack of integrity, it becomes obvious.

  • could you give me an example of the lack of integrity?

  • I could. look at his absolute conviction in his speeches during his bid to become governor. It's not just a matter of his views on certain issues being very different, but you can see in his eyes a light of true belief. When he states his current beliefs on those same subjects he is emotionally dead. A persons passive body language speaks volumes to their convictions. Instead of me debating you, I invite you to give him a second look. See if you still believe.

  • i've given him a second look. i've been supporting him since february. the video you are talking about is actually his run for senate in 1994. his changes are defensible. and you are getting subjective on me again. body language interpetation is hardly a science, and even if so, you aren't an expert. there are several factors that effect body language. his demeanor is serious, but that doesn't mean it isn't genuine. i consider seriousness a virtue in a leader.

  • What isn't subjective is the timing of the defensible changes taken on by the leader you chose last February. The fact that you've been a follower of his for that long indicates your herd like mentality.

  • You can't judge someone by looking into their eyes on a video tape. You don't know what personal experiences he had and how he felt when he had them. You weren't there so you cannot say that someone is insincere. Look at his actions as Governor. Every action he took sided with life. Last I checked... your actions, not your words, define who you really are.

  • mpetrie, i doubt you even know what "sided with life" means. I know I sound insulting when I say that. I mean to. The anti-choice morality gets on my nerves.

You are right about one thing, at least, your actions do define who you are. more than words.

  • the changes were actually made earlier. its convenient for you to say otherwise though. but the truth is that his positions economically have been constant, and thats what i'm most concerned with. besides, there is reason dictating his decisions, that reflect his ideals, but convey an understanding of the need to be incremental. because i disagree with you, and happen to be in a majority, doesn't make me a sheep.

  • You do not know if i am an expert in body language or not. (i'm not) You can't be certain what videos i am referring to. (his passionate speech regarding his mom)

If you are happy with your own perceptions, then i choose not to persuade you with my own. You say gave him a second look... that's more scrutiny than most of the general public. Good luck to you in life.

  • wow you are too civilized. and i assumed the body language thing because you would have said you were an expert if you were. i made that decision consciously.. i attribute the change in demeanor to age and emotional wisdom more than anything... anyways, good luck with your life too. hahha. i feel like we are in 16th century europe; not very youtube-like.

  • You attribute a lot of virtue to a run of the mill politician. I approach every one of em' with the same level of skepticism as I would a used car salesman. No way would I jump on the bandwagon of some politician as far back as February. The fact that you have done so and are so keen on propping him up demonstrates a non-individualistic and follower like mentality on your part. Majority or not, its your willingness to follow a silver spoon fed pandering career politician thats scary.

  • you keep injecting my with your own wishes of me. i can't take you seriously if you are going to pretend like you know my entire decision making process based on a few comments; its ridiculous and proves you're illogical and not to be trusted in your own decisions.. omitting that you don't know me, you obviously don't know romney. he is anything but a career politician, honestly, and i can't understand how you could use wealth against someone.

  • HAHAHA the son of a governor turned governor and now running for president isn't a career politician!?! Im glad this country wasn't founded by sheep like you. The only logical way to approach any politician is with skepticism. Go worship your two-faced social smiling hero. Any one that buys into any politician as you have makes me sick.

  • HAHAHAHA(one more HA than you) being related to politicians doesn't make you a career one. a common sense definition of a career politician is someone whose career is reliant on being a politician; romney's is not, nor was his father's. and who says i don't approach politicians with skepticism; you're are trying to call me illogical, but have to scarecrow me to do it... and i'm glad i could make you sick. next best thing to you losing your ability to vote.

  • I bet you'd like me to note be able to vote. I'm not lowly enough to wish the same on you. I'm alright with anyone that I disagree with voting. No other Republican candidate is more of an extension of Bush policy than Romney. He's a snake. He rails against illegals as they clean his tennis court. He views the constitution as something for his lawyers to tease apart. Give me a break. There is something very strange about someone who falls in love with a political leader as early as you did.

  • someone has trouble taking jokes? and i disagree with you on the bush policy comment, at least in regard to foreign policy. and if you want to learn about illegals go read "the immigration solution." it's a great non-partisan book. and ALL politicians consult lawyers. you give me a break.. and there's something very strange about someone who keeps insisting i've never questioned who i support, solely by assumption.

  • Well since you've been on the bandwagon for nearly a year I reckon you ain't the questioning type. You sure you don't work for the campaign? If you really want to learn about illegal immigrants apparently Romney's mansion is a good case study. Romney's a coward for using those people. He is using them for cheap political gain and using them to clean his families property. He's a two faced slime ball. No consistency. No philosophy. Just a pretty hairdo and a charlatan's smile.

  • its no wonder why you find such a problem with me supporting romney when you characterize him by the character put on him.. romney had to make an example of those aliens. a public official should support law and act on law. those people are lucky he unknowingly let them clean his lawn as long as he did.. and if you actually are on here not wasting your time but trying to change minds, you might want to attack policy and record specifically; not making these vague all encompassing fantasies.

  • Unfortunately, 500 words limit a detailed policy discussion. YouTube comments aren't well suited for that, nor are they well suited for changing minds. Im not that naive. Its entertainment here my friend. I was entertained by your support and eagerness to follow who I believe is the Republican equivalent of John Kerry. In what capacity do you serve or work for Romney's campaign?

  • nice talking to you.

  • Guns, life, immigration and nearly every other position he has held has shifted. You've fallen in love with a flip flopping snake my friend. Even if your with him economically (which I mostly am) the two faced lying and slick pandering should turn you off. Our government is more than a president, there needs to be a balance of power. The last thing we need is a shape shifting snake concentrating more power in the executive branch.

  • guns? him ever wanting to ban assualt rifles is okay by me. life? i accept it as an evolution of views as has most people. immigration? he's never flopped on immigration.. and what leads you to believe he wants more power in the executive branch than law allows for? line-item veto?

  • You missed the point blind follower. Its not a particular stance, its his shape shifting pandering. He supported tough gun laws while running for gov then at the young age of 59 becomes a lifelong NRA member just prior to delivering a speech for Bush. He supported nearly every item in Kennedy/McCain while governor AND NOW?!? He's a slime ball liar. The balance of power relies to a large degree on an honest executive. How many men change their world view in their mid-fifties?!?

  • any man that isn't too arrogant to believe he has everything figured out. and what you are calling pandering is a reasonable changes in stance. the gun thing specifically, was like i said, a ban on assault rifles and the brady bill; the NRA gave the dude a B.. and which bill's support are you talking about? regardless, a bill before its passed is something totally different then when its put into action, or NOT put into action.

  • You admire Romney for his snake like pandering abilities don't you? I will give him that. He blows Kerry away when it comes to flip flop pandering. Its unfortunate you make such sliminess into a virtue. I suppose if you yourself dream of being a slime ball politician he might be a man to emulate. Its a shame you don't value consistency in philosophy, nor proper grammar.

  • hhaha. nice talking to you.
