Was able to get this tonight at practice, thanks for the vid. I always have trouble with escapes that involve shrimping the leg back in, because I have pretty long legs, this escape worked perfect though.
@BradContreras18 To a certain extent- he could place that forearm across your hips and block it, but that would open you up to replace your guard. If he just presses against the ground- your two legs should be stronger than his one arm...
Thanks for watching, and please check out the site.
this is more of a fake than an actual roll, it can sometimes work if your opponent doesnt see it coming, but its more for getting them to bridge up, as soon as the do you spin into them and take gaurd, or u can slide your butt under them and roll them the other way (my fav)
Awesome videos guys and I will check out your site. I'm going to try this escape tomorrow, partly because I like bridging escapes anyway and partly because I love arm triangles. I'm not good at any of it because I'm a beginner, but these vids are helping me a lot.

I like alot of what I have seen however this move is extremley dangerous against any opponent that drools over that left arm on the wrong side of the head. A frame or pummel escape is much more effective.
We understand that there are counters to all of the escapes. That is the nature of a fight. That being said, there are also counters to "frame" or "pummel" escapes. We appreciate your involvement, but would urge you to stay open-minded. You've commented on a few of our videos now about how our techniques are "worthless." Understanding that our belts are not as black as yours, we urge you to post more helpful videos instead of criticizing ours. We look forward to your videos showing your escapes.
Excellent feedback. I hope that you take the time to subscribe to our videos and register a free account on the site so that you can see all 7 hours of free instructional video that we have there.
DoOd...I know how its pronounced...I train at Gracie Barra Texas under draculino and he, of course, is obviously brazilian. I was being funny because it is Spelled Royce and the guy spelled it Hoyce. You don't go around spelling it " Hash Guards" just because thats how the Brazilians pronounce it...its a "rash guard" and you should spell it that way. :)
Ha, u smoke rashish? what belt r u? these Train Fight Win guys are from Texas as well, arent they? Draculino is a cool name, but I much prefer Mummyinho and Werewolfinho. I'm not going to tell him that though, I hear those Gracies aren't that forgiving. This Black Belt girl got hurt rollin with one of the Mestre Gracies over here. He said "train like you are in a fight" or something. All in all she ended up with a jacked up shoulder.

great technique! are there any sweeps or escapes from side mount you recommend against heavy or bulky opponents?

Hey, nice technique..
I was wondering, is the hook preventing your opponent from mounting?
Keep it up.

Just saw this done by Luke Stewart to Andre Galvoa in a strikeforce fight.

Could he be able to block this roll by simply planting his arm down on the side you are trying to "flip over"?

can this be defended just by bridging your leg that is closest to the sweepers head?
boorens18 2 years ago
Potentially- but in order for him to defend it by sprawling, he'll have to open up his base for you to re-establish your guard.

you should set a playlist for these videos and place them in a sequence so that it could be like "escape to offensive position to an armbar"
