You forget to say that you the red firstly loose must get and then the yellow otherwise go the brake it finished and with taking the trailer the yellow there the firstly on. nicely that you made this film.
well done Andy!I pull at least 2 different trailer's a day in last 2 and a half years and never made any big mistake, only once when I was connecting cables i saw my truck is rolling!and tthat happened because after connecting truck to a trailer I haven't pulled the handbrake in truck!lucky inuff I stopped the truck before the trailer that was parked up in the front;-)
P.S. maybe some day I'll try to make a vid how to connect fridge trailer, because it's a bit different.5* for You my friend!
Great video Andy, our airline connections in the UK are slightly different, i know there are alot of drivers who do not know how to do it properly, lol...
but its crazzy that a little kingping hold more than 20.000kg but and the and whit take off the trailer i doing always whit my dad the air up you know that the truck going up on the back and the feets of the trailer making down but not how you did we doing til we can and than verry slow driving out of the kingping any nice vid 5/5
yes i liked it :D hey trucker Andy i propose you for one truck show to be king of the show and of the road! Truck inscriptionated (with trucker and wife on back of the trailer windows truck) a Machete of the truck :D Trucker and truck of the year! Just one question...what will be when the truck get's that old untill you have to go to another truck (what will happen with all that inscriptions, and personalized things?)
Good tutorial on connectioning trailers. Here in the US, Canada and Mexico, most trucks have the emergency air hose and supply air hose and a 7-prong electrical cable line. Some trucks have hydraulic hoses to operate different mechanisms on the trailers.
If one air hose cuts off the trailer will bake immediately..All the lights are on one electric cable..the second on is just for extra stuff like the lift axle..THX for take time and watching..
Great video. I like how the trucks there have the reverse lamps on the trailer as well, and the lock for the 5th wheel. Is there a button in the cab for the trailer brakes too, or just on the trailer?
THX for take time to watch this video Sean..I get inspired by your tutorial videos and wanna make a European version..
There is only in the Volvo trucks a button for the trailer brakes like you have them in the US..Most trailers have the button beside the landing gear...Andy
i´ve lost a trailer TWICE simply because I didn´t check that the fifth wheel was locked and secured. You´re never too careful and accidents happen when you least expect them. Taught me a good lesson...
You never learn..And mistakes are happen..Hope to give some advises and help to understand the technical of the trailer..THX fro take time and watch..Andy
Good video andy, its alittle different than we do in america we only hook 3 lines up to the trailer. I always like seeing whats different about trucking in other countries so good video.
I am glad you like the EU trucks and trailer.Just wonder you have no Anti-lock brake system..Its a safety tool to don't let the wheels block at braking..
Great work, buddy! And thanks for the promo, too. I've got many ideas for more tutorials. Correct brakeing, cornering, preferred routes through Europe, plces to go, places to avoid, customs, pretrip, papers, Autoroute taxes, differences in road regulations between countries, technical stuff, trailers (how come your load doesn't freeze up in winter?), and many more. A Romanian trucker has told me that he loaded his trailer onto a train to pass Austria. It was too heavy. Stuff like that. Thanks!
I have thought about a TAX video moths ago..Thanks for the inspiration my friend..
Your friend was driving cross Tirol in Austria..If you to have or you hauling some special kind of good you have to take the train to Italy..I never took it so I will be hard to film that..THX for take time and post this great comment..Andy
excellent video, i like the white steering wheel you have, i have seen that on some Scanias too.
