Is it just me or when gulliver is groaning, it just sounds SO wrong!

Notice how Bernard Herrmann scores the Lilliputians with "miniature"-sounding music -- allegro high strings, celeste, glockenspiel -- then brings in "large"-sounding instruments -- basses and celli -- when Gulliver appears.
