My fiance is an E4 in the U.S. Army deployed in Afghanistan. He left in April. I won't see him until November ( for 2 weeks). Then I won't see him until next April at wchich point we'll marry and move to Alaska, where he'll be stationed. This video brought my to tears. I am a military girlfriend (ARMY) currently going through a deployment :( I sleep with my phone everynight and a bear with his picture in it so i have something close to me that reminds me of him. I havn't yet missed one of his calls yet! this makes his 3rd deployment they seem to get harder the more you have but i stay strong b/c I am very proud to be a Army Girlfriend!! And I gotta stay strong for him and keep him strong so he can do the best he can do while he is over there. I make sure he puts his work first while he's over there b/c he has to stay 199.9% focused on his job! I'm just glad to hear from him when he's able to call even if it's only for a few minutes It's still the greatest fealin. I got to talk to him sunday for about 5 min.! This is our 4th deployment together and it doesn't get any easier. I tell my kids that daddy is a hero and he is over there protecting us. I know how hard it can be with a family members off fighting. My dad was in the Air Force reserves, and he got called out to Italy and France a few times. My cousin's retired Air Force, and she's married to an active duty Marine. They're expecting a little girl by July, and I really hope that he doesn't have to go to Iraq right now; I mean, he's gonna have a brand new daughter at home! But still, thanks to everyone in the Military; I love you guys!

both of my brothers are in the army. my oldest brother was in iraq for 18 months. we were greatful that he was able to come home for thanksgiving and the christamas sesaon. but he will be going back in june or august.

my other brother will be goin to the front lines as infentry. we were greatful that he was also home for the chrismas season. thank you to all of the military men and women but most of all to the families who sacrfise is our families

thx for posting this song. I found it on itunes, and love it. My hubby was part of the 172nd stryker brigade that was one of the first to be extended to a 15 month deployment, we found out from the news 3 days before my hubby was due home that he would be doing an extra 3 months. Then he got home and we moved to a new army post, and he got deployed again for 15 months after only being home for 9 months. so the phone has been my bed buddy for years now... thanks again for this video.

@nevergiveupdreams81 I know you posted this like 3 years ago, but my hubby was part of the 172nd too. He was deployed with them for OIF 05-06 and 08-09 with 5-1 Cav (he's actually Infantry in with the cav). Maybe they knew each other, but maybe not. Anyways, just thought it was interesting.
