If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth... This is the real message of love."
Why is this is so powerful? Every time I listen to it, I am moved to tears, almost immediately, but not because I am sad. It's it's some overwhelming emotion that transcends regular emotion and frees it, and the tears are of relief. It works every single time.

Thich nhat Hanh is just a propaganda tool for the communist regime in Vietnam. A leader of anti-war movement in Vietnam war, he turned a blind eye to Hue massacre of 5,000 civilians by Vietcong in 1968 and Vietnam invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1978. In 2005 and 2007 he returned to Vietnam to help the communist regime to improve its bad image for human rights violations and religious oppression so that Vietnam could gain permanent normal trade status with the US.
@tim666661 Hello TOMP I wouldnt describe that as being fooled, The nature of Thich Nhat Hanh's teaching has in it the planting and nurturing of seeds. Have they not been planted? and nurtured?

Ways To End Suffering: Write ideas on how to end suffering to countries governments. Write to governments on ending torture in their prisons explaining that innocent people will be tortured. Also explain that innocent members of family and friends will also suffer from their criminal family member suffering. Pay for peoples' pain medications who can't afford them. But make sure you give them steady supply so won't be left addicted which is painful. Together we can end suffering. Please comment.

Just practice mindfulness its not that hard. I read practice mindfulness. When you are sitting, be aware you are sitting, and when your are standing be aware of you are standing. If you are suffering, be aware you are suffering, If you are feeling good, be aware you are feeling good. If you your mind is not peaceful, just be aware your mind is not peaceful, if your mind is peaceful, be aware your mind is peace. Just practice mindfulness or being aware.
rather no-mind is the key, destroying thought at all time. in the understanding of this, we fall from ego, personality and much preference.the mind is like a caged animal, always circling, thinking only on here and now, no mind is realizing the spirit, or awareness is always at peace, in the now.
please dont love this man, love helping others, to achieve there potencial. out of poverty, leads to a better life. oppression will always be with the world, but you dont have to be a oppresssor...think for ;yourself............
In 2005 and 2007 Thich Nhat Hanh returned to Vietnam to help the communist regime to improve its bad image for religious oppression. In exchange, the communists promised to allow him to practice religion in Vietnam and establish Bat Nha monastery. But in September 2009, Vietnamese authorities launched a violent crackdown on his followers at the monastery, fearing his popularity among the youth could pose a threat to the communist leadership.
About 380 young monks and nuns who are followers of Buddhist leader Thich Nhat Hanh, have called on the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, to grant them temporary asylum, after they were forced to flee Bat Nha monastery and repeatedly attacked by vigilantes allegedly hired by the Vietnamese authorities. They say the government regards their leader as a threat to its authority due to his fast-growing popularity among the youth.
the dead know nothing. once you die, you become as asleep. the great ing david has not yet risin to heavan, noone has, that is what the second coming of Christ is about, when the dead shall be raised from the grave. but i know what you mean.

Reading my comments from 5 months ago serves to remind me, both of the suffering that I felt at that time, and, more importantly, of the love that exists in my life, both from others, and in my own heart. I am most touched by the affection of those that have shared their hope with me. My life is nothing without others to share it with. Thank you!
please realize your presence and your awareness to allow yourself to be open to receive these words. That comes from you. sending positive healing to you.
Thank you, Simon. my life is so much brighter, and I will not forget the words of people like you. Whenever clouds might return, i shall try to focus on the sun that lies behind them, knowing it will again shine on me...
@stephen53847 all you have to do is make them into your own words by practicing mindfulness. You'll see that your capacity to love and be happy was always there as it is there now. You can find your true happiness only in the present moment... All you have to do is Be. Be who you truly are, not the conditioned and conceptual you but the true essence of who you are.
Thank you Kwisital for sending this beautiful video to me. And special thanks to Pantheist. Do you have more of Phap Niem? I could not find anything on the Internet. Thank you.

Listening to the bell I feel the afflictions in me begin to dissolve
My mind calm, my body relaxed
A smile is born on my lips
Following the sound of the bell, my breath brings me back to the safe island of mindfulness
In the garden of my heart, the flowers of peace bloom beautifully.

@tim666661 Hello TOMP I wouldnt describe that as being fooled, The nature of Thich Nhat Hanh's teaching has in it the planting and nurturing of seeds. Have they not been planted? and nurtured?

Thich nhat Hanh is just a propaganda tool for the communist regime in Vietnam.

Whatever joy there is in this world
All comes from desiring others to be happy,
And whatever suffering there is in this world,
All comes from desiring myself to be happy.

TheIxtlan 2 years ago
rather no-mind is the key, destroying thought at all time. in the understanding of this, we fall from ego, personality and much preference.the mind is like a caged animal, always circling, thinking only on here and now, no mind is realizing the spirit, or awareness is always at peace, in the now.

Thich Nhat Hanh be fooled by communist Vietnam!!!

HELP BAT NHA MONASTERY!!!
(Vietnam) Dec 17, 2009
About 380 young monks and nuns who are followers of Buddhist leader Thich Nhat Hanh, have called on the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, to grant them temporary asylum, after they were forced to flee Bat Nha monastery and repeatedly attacked by vigilantes allegedly hired by the Vietnamese authorities. They say the government regards their leader as a threat to its authority due to his fast-growing popularity among the youth.

Reading my comments from 5 months ago serves to remind me, both of the suffering that I felt at that time, and, more importantly, of the love that exists in my life, both from others, and in my own heart. I am most touched by the affection of those that have shared their hope with me. My life is nothing without others to share it with. Thank you!
