I think the best constructive criticism would be to stray away from the actuality of the song, and reinterpret it with your own unique style.

In essence, make the song your own.

Great! It turns out to be very creative sometimes to work out a song very simply, just like that! It may not be finished, but now you know the notes, then add some drums and a left hand bass and there it is!!
