@fattychunksings I would advise making brownies with your favorite herb rather than smoking them. Ok, it takes a little longer to kick in but it's much healthier.
I've got the same problem - easily treated with Omeprazole (gastro-restraint). Giving up cigarettes is probably a good idea however, with the medication you can still continue drinking.
You will definitely need to get the meds as without it the stomach acid will eventually eat its way through your esophagus until it hits a major artery and then you bleed out in the most spectacular fashion (spurting red fountain from your mouth) until you die.
They will want to do an endoscopy, which the worst part of that for me is the stuff they spray in your mouth to numb the gag reflex. You will also be under twilight anesthesia most likely and will be fine. This test looks for ulcers all along the esophagus and stomach, hernias and GERD. Bad bouts with it are fucking scary because it actually does feel like you may be having an heart attack. There are several medications for this, though.
