EFW ,Maze And The Ohio Players....The Baddest...... Would i be wrong to throw in the JB's who were funky but were't singers and not as tight as EfW but were on of the baddest bands..

Fabulous! Couldn't find a better funk band anywhere! I have always loved this band! Saw them last year! PERFECT! EWF ~ the very BEST! Their voices are sheer perfection!

the elements : one is of 5 and five is of 1, whoever can unite the elements can rid the world of evil and this band definitely did their part through their music and i am one Black brother who is eternally grateful. all respect due to R&B, and Black people for their contribution to the music of the world.

I agree with trains74. I went to law school because of the positive energy I heard, and felt, when listening to EWF. Growing up in certain parts of Brooklyn NY, there are nothing but negative obstacles, EWF helped me overcome them. Thank you EWF.
