Recently someone said that people can use clay pots to filter water for clean drinking water if it was made with out the glazing and big enough to fit over a water catcher But THEN FOUND a youtube Ad for a company making ceramic water filter pots in a third world country what looks to be supported by the International Red Cross... i have more questions ?
Thanks for this. I wish I could see the position of your fingers and how your fingers move. I think that's the most important part of learning the throwing process, especially when you have the lifting, collaring, opening out and then that last lovely little bit of extra outward curvature on the lip of the bowl.
What kind of clay do you throw with? I started with white stoneware and am trying something that is one step from porcelain. I believe it doesn't have any grog. I'm new . . .can you tell? Any suggestions for a newbie playing with this kind of clay?
