  • I get goosebumps every time I watch this. <3 Sweden

  • I Love the Canadians when Sweden scores! Everybody is happy and jumping n screaming! :) , Big thanx to the Canadians crowd!

  • Love how the players at 2:32 are so fucking over-excited about the goal that most of them fell, jumping over the rink/booth.

  • @bennetoft Wouldnt you be excited? Damn hobo..

  • @MCrackCatM Of course I would..??? Whats with the hating?

  • 2:30 to the left:D they get stuck with each other LoOoOL!

  • I couldn´t believe my eyes when zibanejad got the breakaway, it´s like it all happened in slow motion, so many years of disappointment and then all the sudden he scores the golden gold, what a sense of relief, but the big hero must´ve been the goalie, Johan Gustafsson who made that crucial save with seconds left of the game, i think that save made the russians think "Oh no" and the swedes went "Oh yes" which reflected both teams play in the sudden death

  • Makarov made so many good saves but his teamates just didn't perform.

  • @MrStar445 Its true, you can't blame a goalie when you lose 1-0. I think the shots were like 40-9 after 2 periods or something crazy like that.

  • Despite how much I hated the Russians after they beat Canada I couldn't help but feel bad for Makarov when he mad over 50 saves and his team just didn't perform

  • @xSplitRyderx Took the words right out of my mind. And i'm a swede. In my eyes he deserved a gold medal for what he did. He was the only one in the russian team that seemed to be interested in trying to win the game at all. So yeah, felt really bad for him as well. But i'm sure he'll go on and become a great goalie in the big leagues in the future. Unless this totally broke his will to continue playing, but i hope not

  • @Abuddappaa Well his family has lived in Sweden his entire life so still a Swede :) Who the fuck wants to live in Finland anyway? You're like the russians of Scandinavia.

  • It's funny that Zibanejad isn't even Swedish, he is half an iran and half a finnish :D

  • @Abuddappaa Still a Swede!

  • @Janusmannen Yep

  • @Abuddappaa etnicity doesn't constitute a nationality, you racist scumbag.

  • @Jontish316 ?? Why you said im racist? Wtf? Iran is a country? lol

  • @Abuddappaa The fact that you don't understand simple english is going to make this harder for you. Lets just leave it at you needing schooling.

  • @Jontish316 That isn't ''simple'' english, I can't understand you, why you said I'm racist? That's true, Zibanejad doesn't have swedish blood

  • @Abuddappaa And what is "swedish blood"? Or "american blood", or any "blood" for that matter? I gues you're trying to say that he doesn't have swedish parents. As i've already told you; etnicity does not constitute a nationality.

  • @Jontish316 Well, he isn't actually Swedish, he just grow up in Sweden. Same as Sasha Barkov in Finland, he is actually Russian but Finnish nationality

  • @Abuddappaa So what is he then, if not swedish? His father is from Iran, and his mother is from Finland, he was born in stockholm and his nationality is swedish.

  • @Jontish316 Half a Finnish and half a Iran, for real. I don't say that Barkov is Finnish because his mom and dad are Russians.

  • @Abuddappaa Oh okay. If he's so much a finn and a iranian, why is he playing for the swedish national team?

  • @Jontish316 Because he grow up in Sweden? And he have Swedish nationality, but that doesn't make him a swede

  • @Abuddappaa As i've already said, ETNICITY does NOT constitute a nationality, he is a swede and is identified as such. Or are you saying that Zibanejad has no etnicity? Or is he a combination? Firanian? Irannish?

  • @Jontish316 Obviously it also works the other way around, with nationality not constituting an etnicity. And just to make it clear, i'm identifying Zibanejad by his nationality.

  • @Jontish316 Eh, if you move to Canada and you change you nationality to Canadian, are you then a Canadian? I would say you are swede then. (If you are swede now, I dont know xD)

  • If Russia had won that game, every person there would have booed the Russians to no end and all the comments would read how classless Canadians are. Canadian fans just wanted Sweden to win because Russia knocked Canada out. Just like 2 years ago, when Canadians wanted Sweden to win in the Bronze game against the Americans because Sweden beat Canada in the round robin and Lehner made some stupid comments.

  • like someone said, pretty sure they supported Sweden because of the 31 years of drought... Same reason I (as a swede) would support Finland in an olympic gold medal game, even though we are rivals... since they've been so close many times :)

  • @rolvaag0 fuck dat. I'm swedish and I would never support finland in an olympic gold medal game!

  • That jump Zibanejad does after shooting the winning goal is a classic! Such explosion of pure joy and relief... I love it, makes me smile everytime I see it, and I've seen it alot of times!

  • Zibanejad, Sweden loves you!

  • Sweden, U deserved the golden medal, but it was close that we (Finland) could have been in final , but we didn't deserve it. Cheers from Finland ,from true hockey fan, almost cried when you tied to 2-2. Great sweden !

  • Im all like: Wow =D. Seeing how canadian supporters cheering like mad for another nation and getting all crazy when the goal finally came. You've earned my respect and this is why i love hockey and i just love canadian supporters. It's always been: if no canada to cheer on then lets cheer on sweden. This match was the best i've seen and im happy sweden finally won =D. Canada is a true hockey nation.

  • Thanks Canadians, when WJHC comes to Sweden ill support you!!

  • @TheBergstr I'll support them if they reach the finals, and boo them out until then. Just they did against us... I mean, it's just ridiculous, Canadians saying we deserved the goal... Watch the Russia and Switzerland matchers... al them "boo"s...

  • Did I get it right....?

DID the russian goalie stop 70 shots, in this game?!

  • @Janusmannen Repost, nice try to steal a comment ^^

  • @Fuckyeah171 Didn't know someone had posted that comment.... So no "stealing" intended...

  • @Janusmannen there was a top comment, with the text that you wrote?

  • @Fuckyeah171 Not when I wrote....

  • @Janusmannen Something around that yes.

  • gosh....one of the best days of my life! a magic night! Love to my country sweden, best country in the world! And best on the Ice to ! ;)

  • So fucking proud to be swedish. ♥

  • all the people who dislike this video are on the Russian world junior team

  • mika will get the stanley cup next year for the sens ;)

  • Congrats from your eastern neighbour!

  • Jag ryser, fan va gött Sverige!

  • 20 dislikes must be a Russian

  • My second fav hockey nation. I was really hoping for a Canada/Sweden final, but was just as happy when Sweden won. Zbad being a sens prospect makes it all the better :D

  • I never thought the canadians would cheer for Sweden, thanks for your love and support, I would never cheer for antother country except for Finland and now Canada!

    - A fellow Swede <3

  • Yes finally we won

  • I can't believe how loud the crowd was when he scored (based on the video :P) But I guess Canadians, as I am, wanted the Russians to lose somehow.. But a great effort by Zibanejad, he seems like the right guy to score the goal!

  • Just have to say how proud I am to be Swedish in moments like this.

Sweden is a country with ONLY 9 million people and still we can win a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP against nations with over 100 million people!

Imagine what Sweden would do to the world if we were that many! :)

Men men...

    - R

  • @1337GameTime första*

  • nothing but love <3

  • 58 - 17 shots. GO SWEDEN!!!!!

  • It's been a while since Sweden won, they had a strong team going undefeated, including a win over Canada in prelims. If Canada isn't winning, I'm happy it's Sweden.

  • Kuznetsov said before the game "We are the best junior hockey team in the world, we will win this"... I honestly knew we would win because of what he said, its stuff like that, that can motivate a team, and Sweden was obviously the better one :)

  • Thank you Canada! Without your cheering it would have been much harder for Sweden to win. You were like a sixth player on the ice for Sweden. So thank you again for helping us to win. Will never forget your sportmanship. Hope we can return it in two years when the tournament is in Sweden

  • @jensabergh no rpob, iw as there. i had NO problem cheering on you guys :) we have too much a rivalry with russia and we repect the swedes too much. congrats on the gold :)

  • Swedish hockey players are the best as even now nhl is seeing years back. They took some of Brynäs best players for that as always so of course the local games here were lacking. They all work so hard and have the best of the best out there so we were happy to see it happen again.

  • Not only did Sweden win, that game was an ass kicking.

  • ANY time that russia beats canada before a gold medal game, they're all like " well we just won gold anyways! this game s gonna fly by us!" thank you sweden for once again teaching those russians they are way too cocky

  • one of the best days in my life...

  • Anyone else than me noticed that at 0:16 theres someone dressed up in a russian hat laughing.. just wtf o.o

  • i wanna live in canada...im swedish and i love the support u guys gave us...but srsly i wanna live in canada after i heard these words from the swedish commentators "Well Ice Hockey is like a religon in Canada" so that pretty much sealed the deal =P

  • Sewden pwns

  • I would like to thank the Canadian people for the support you gave us during the final. Even after the game, most people stayed, cheering the swedish team. It displays your love for hockey. Thanks canadian mates! /Swedish guy

  • Hockey, it's Swedens game!

  • dear sweden, you just earned a special spot in my heart

    - a Canadian

  • @Thefrizzwhizz I even said that they had like 4 silver medals and 1 bronze during this time so what's your problem? Thanks for the support in the final, really appreciated :)

  • SWEDEN RULES

  • @Xatalion Heeelll yeaaa!!!! :D

  • I would just like to point out to our Russian fanboys that Canada won the 1972 Summit series against your soviet team, We won 4 straight golds in the juniors between 2005-2009 BEATING RUSSIA 3 times in a row in the gold medal games. We have won the olympic gold medal twice. Your best players come here and play in our CHL because your league is to shit, Canadian coaches teach your wimpy 17yr olds from moscow how to play hard hitting physical hockey. The CANADIAN WAY! THIS IS OUR GAME!

  • This is a video about hockey, not racism, and all those who say that Zibanejad isn't Swedish, what jersey is he wearing?

  • Russia was thinking: "we're just lucky to be here, we can't compete with Sweden let's hope we get lucky again, we'll lean on Makarov and hope he saves us.."

The luck ran out, and Makarov didn't save them....

Congrats Sweden, and congrats to all Swedish fans of Hockey! I am very happy for you. :D

  • @WelfareSymphony Makarov saved them, saved them from a 6-0 loss

  • @guitarpope He saved them from a 20-0 loss, never mind 6-0.

  • @WelfareSymphony Amen to that brother, to bad Cannada didnt played better, really good games between us in the most games..

And thanks for the support Sweden had in the games, See you next year, the junior world cup has been sooo big in Sweden right now, the game played 03:00 night time in Sweden, and had one of the most viewed sport evens that year.

    /Proud Swede :)

  • STOP FUCKING ARGUING, ENJOY THE FUCKING GOAL AND ENJOY THE SWEDE VICTORY, THEY DID DESERVE IT SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!

  • Much better to see Sweden win than those jackasses from Russia

  • Whatever, Russia still rocks!

  • I wonder what happened in ADULTS' finals? ^_^

  • @phillytheflyerable FUCK YOU ASSHOLE

  • WelfareSymphony sweden win not Canada so suck it up you fucking canuck.

go sweden . VIVA ZIBANEJAD. VIVA PERSIAN BLOOD.

  • @sporns2 I have no problem with Sweden winning, in fact I was hoping they would. 30 years without a gold medal is too long.

  • WelfareSymphony i hope you have enough education and can read i didnt said he was full Persian i said Persain blood and last name Zibanejad is iranian not swidish.

  • @sporns2 You implied he was "only" Persian by only "focusing" on that aspect and ignoring the fact he is half Finnish.

  • @WelfareSymphony He's born in Sweden which makes him 100% swedish.

  • @hjaldemort Thanks for agreeing with me.

  • Have we (sweden) meet Canada in hockey for years?! can't remember.. unfair

  • @DigitalCobran Fin engelska

  • It was a great final!! I'm from Sweden myself, BUT i would think it would be funnier to face the Canadians in the final.

Btw, the crowd gave me goosebumps!! The crows pays a big amount of money even thought Canada does'nt play. There is people watching EVERY game. Even if the games are played during the night in Sweden i still think that Canada or USA should host every JWC.

  • Especially canadians.

  • SO MUCH FOREIGN MORONS IN COMMENTS...

  • @hockeywebcaster who's your favourite pokemon

  • Ja! så jävla gött! dra åt helvete ryss jävlar!

  • He's father is from Iran, and his mother is from Finland. Yeah, of course he is an original swede!

  • @TomShootsPhoto Ye he's trained in Sweden aswell.

  • @hampzuz Like that really changes anything -.- Think about it.

  • @TomShootsPhoto Nono it does'nt but this was one of the best finals i've seen ever BUT before the game i had a feeling that it would be funnier to see Sweden vs Canada.

  • @hampzuz It would've been a tough game.

  • Comment removed

  • @foppburgur go fuck youself. Canadians hate russia in hockey. We wouldve routed for sweden even if it was you that knocked us out you geriatric fuckface. How dare you question our support.

  • Good for Sweden, they deserved more than those fucking russian pussies

  • Im glad we had the support of the stadium, even though it wasnt genuine. Typical Canadian to go all out for the team that DIDNT just kick their ass in the semis.

  • As much as Sweden deserved to win, you've gotta feel for Makarov. He stood on his head and did everything he could for the Russians to win. This was a great game, and I was glad to see this happen for Sweden, but Makarov deserved it just as much.

  • I fkn love sweden!

  • Comment removed

  • MIKA ZIBANEJAD............. FUCK YEAAAAAAH !!!!

  • LOL, listening to the crowd, was that Sweden or Canada that scored.

Love how the Swedes became the adopted home team.

  • I cried of joy when this happened.. I've followed the world juniors for about 10 years now, We've been so close too many times.. And now we actually won. At first I was just screaming, then I saw the reactions from the staff/players and the swedish commenteries, pure happiness! Tears of joy!

  • Persian power baby

  • Canadian animals fucking sore loosers.. congrats and respect for Sweden from russian fan

  • @olegalberta1970 sore loser, really u and ur communist buddies were the biggest losers ever. u team were the biggest pussy actors i have ever seen. all they would do is dive on the ground and complain. so take ur communistic ideals and KISS MY ASS

  • @NorrisPwns hahaha agree!

  • @olegalberta1970

    It's spelled "loser", loser.

  • So happy sweden won rather than russia. Fucking hate kuznetsov. But canada will win next year.

  • @scottwill19 Kuznetsov is fucking awesome. He owned Canada two times in a row. ^_^ Almost by himself only.

  • @MrNumberNine9 He was also useless for all but 2 games. Very inconsistent player, inconsistency is a very bad trait. It's ok to dominate a game with 9 points against a shitty team who would have played better "without" their goalie or scoring 4 points against a Team Canada who is self destructing/basically beating itself, than putting up quality points over many games. Seriously, I know you won't like it, but Kuznetsov isn't that good, way to inconsistent, I wouldn't draft him.

  • @WelfareSymphony Zibanejad>Kuznetsov

  • Comment removed

  • @PeteCore75 Agreed! 100%, and Max Friberg was the real MVP, he should have got that award, not that inconsistent "now you see him, now you don't (for many games)" Kuznetsov...

  • @PeteCore75 100% agree, kuznetsov relied too much on the playmakers like yakupov, plus he was extremely inconsistent. zibanejad may not have gotten as many points, but he played 8X harder than kuznetsov EVER did. kuznetsov will never be a big name in the nhl IMO

  • @gnrisinmyblood1 I'm a Sens die hard so I was so pumped.

  • @WelfareSymphony suit yourself. I mean I'm Canadians and every inch of me despises Russian hockey. But 2011 world juniors. q finals against finland they are down 3-1. he scores. he assists then scores in o.t.. he is the reason they won. in the gold medal game against canada.. 3 assists in there 5 goal come back. This year he showed up when it mattered. 4 pts vs can. and in this game with like 20 secs left he did a spin around back hand pass to gusev that almost won it. hes a great talent.

  • @chamtillionaire That's cool, but he's really not that impressive. Especially when Canada is giving him free points through self destruction. The last couple years Team Canada has had some major problems, he just happened to be in on the easy points up for grabs. aside from that, he is basically nowhere to be found.

  • @MrNumberNine9 kuznetsov isnt awesome....the only time he got points was in 2 games.....and one was against latvia....tool

  • @MrNumberNine9 hes horribly inconsistent, its like if you get a 7 goal game, then flunk the rest of your 5 games with only 2 assists, youd be sent back to russia for sure, kuznetsov will NEVER be as big a name as ovechkin, kovalchuk or bure

  • @gnrisinmyblood1 I'm just throwing this in there, but kuznetsov has totalled 26 points for russians national junior team, while ovechkin and malkin are tied with 25 pts in wjc. and how big are there names today? hmm thats right, we'll just have to wait and see.

  • @OvieSnipez8 It's not a big deal considering the lack of quality of those points. Max Friberg put up more meaningful and consistent points, he is a more, important and powerful player than Kuznetsov. BTW who is ovechkin? is he an NHL player? The name sounds familiar but I'm not hearing much about anyone with that name in the NHL these days...Malkin is the best player Russia ever had, sometimes inconsistent, but not on the epic levels of inconsistency Kuznetsova* is. Kuz is not Malk

  • @WelfareSymphony Idk whats your problem, but datsyuk is by far one of the best russians today, just because you seen malkins hatty a few days ago. Doesn't mean hes the best russian, he doesn't play 2-way forward like datsyuk, and makes things happen on ice with his playmaking.

  • @OvieSnipez8 lol @ "just because you seen Malkins hatty" nice try, pretending that's why I'm saying it.. like Malkins career and ability to take over games by himself isn't part of it. Just because you're a two way player, doesn't make you better. Datsyuk is a great player, has the second best backhand in the NHL, has some of the best stick-handling ability around and can play at both ends, but he isn't a Malkin and he can't control a game the way Malkin can. Apples to Oranges.

  • @WelfareSymphony datsyuk elevates his game, pittsburgh has FAR superior goaltending with fleury and some might even argue defence is better, but malkin CANNOT control his team, without crosby, the team has fallen out of a playoff spot while with datsyuk the red wings are on a roll, datyuk is the BEST playmaker who can still score. malkin is 26, datsyuk is 32 and still schooling the rest of the NHL

  • @gnrisinmyblood1 Malkin>Datsyuk, Crosby>Everyone, too bad Crosby is injured.

  • @WelfareSymphony so two lucky games ( with 12 points) taking the rest of the tounament down to 16 points came mainly from second hand assists and set ups from yakupov, ovechkin and malkin got points frm what they are menat to do, malkin by taking the puck to the net and setting you up, while ovie gets well placed shots in, if yakupov never made the tournament, kuznetsov would be another small time name

  • @gnrisinmyblood1 Exactly. Kuznetsov's points were of low quality and he didn't even deserve to be mentioned for MVP. IMO Friberg had MVP locked down, I have no idea what these guys were thinking giving it to Kuznetsov, but hey, some people are easily impressed by things that appear better than they really are.

  • it feels good to see a PERSIAN blood score the winning goal

    Congrats Sweden

    bravo PERSIAN PRINCE

be het tabrik migam Mika, khely Ziba boud.

  • @sporns2 fuck off

  • @sporns2 He's only half Persian.. Don't get too excited. To sum it up he is half Persian but 100% Swedish.

  • @WelfareSymphony He 0% Swedish, his father is from Iran and his mother is from Finland. Why would he be swedish? Sweden would be NOWHERE without immigrants...

  • @TomShootsPhoto You don't get it. His racial mixture is not relevant.. I am Russian, but I was born in Canada, I grew up as a Canadian in the culture here, I am in essence, Canadian, not Russian and I think of myself as Canadian. He was born and raised in Sweden, we can argue semantics all you want but it does not change the fact he is Swedish, and his Swedish Jersey reflects that as does the first language he speaks and everything he knows from growing up in Sweden.

  • @WelfareSymphony All right, sure, he is Swedish. But when racism is so bad in Sweden, that they have separate parts in town where immigrants live, that is way crazy. And then, when someone talented comes to Sweden, he/she'll be 100% Swedish directly.
