  • this girl is amazing!!! a lot of talent. She is not afraid of jumping. Yu na, Mao and Miki are not alone right now

  • per me è la prossima campionessa olimpica bravissima

  • Is it just me or do the seats seem very empty? I would DIE for any seat in the house for this or these perforances...! Sersiously! She's beyond amazing...watchout Mao Asada even with her Triple Axel right! :()

  • aMAZING!

  • По моему мнению она сейчас лучшая из русских девушек. И она тoже похожа на мою сестру :D

  • OMG!!!! does she Win? She is Better then Adelina and Elizaveta!!!!

  • @miguelg632 I m agree, she´s the best.

  • Comment removed

  • how old is she? if she's close to 15, then she has the possibility to compete in the next olympics :D.

  • @flyoffdaice I think she's 13 or 14

  • @flyoffdaice She´s only 13 years old.

  • She's so great! Very beautiful!

  • edge call on the lutz?

  • Wow, she's good. So many talented Russian ladies. It's going to be tough when they're all age-eligible.

  • ok, you are right, her jumps are VERY HIGH!

    her techniques are FAR BETTER!

we will see, good luck to her, haha.

  • dont forget other girls like Adelina, Zijun, Risa flutzes too

but Junior Worlds will be very exciting. lots of very talented skaters

  • is there that much advantage by doing more difficult 3-3 combo under the current rules? it brings a few more base points in SP, but in LP, like Julia, having two 3Ts allows the same value in total anyway. and it would get more GOE if its easier to perfectly execute. difficult combos are always more exciting for audiences like me tho.

  • It's not a lutz. it's a Flutz.

    very low jumps too.

  • yes, she flutzes sometimes but her jumps are not low,

she won JGP final by a huge margin amongst the other skaters

    and her jumping technique is

far better than say Zijun Li who was 4th at jgp final ;)

she is amazing cant wait for Junior Worlds 2012 !!

  • amazing skating

  • if they repeat a spin position, it won't count as a variation of position. and if they were to do 8 revolutions on a spin position, it has to be a spin variation now, not a regular basic one. The changes are for the better.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter Hm. I don't really see that much difference just in what the skaters are delivering and what they are scored as compared to like three years ago, but I don't know the point values of all the elements. Based on what you're saying about quads, for example, I don't get the men's GPF results. I guess I'm saying the sport seems as subjective as ever. As for these ladies, I think it'll be their artistry and consistency during competition that will set them apart from each other.

  • @RevShaqueefa GPF is controversial, but hey, what are we gonna do? The thing to watch out for are the spins now, because it is a lot harder compared to Vancouver. And footwork especially.

  • That 2axel needs work, she doesn't step up into it. When she grows, this will be a problem. I love the ice coverage she gets on her jumps though. How the hell didn't she win this? OMG this girl is the best I've seen in a long time I must say. She excites me. Russia has really stepped their game up. Watch out USA and Japan.

  • She's definitely taking a cue from Sasha Cohen (music choices, her flexibility), but probably with much better jumping abilities. Amazing!

  • @RevShaqueefa There is older videos of her also at 11, and she's a beast on jumps. just like bam! It's crazy how great these young skaters can have abilities of a veteran.

  • and there are even younger girls than Julia who are also amazing

like Elena Radionova, Natalia Ogoreltseva and Evgenia Medvedeva ;)

they have 3/3 jumps and also fast spinners and unique spins

  • @fashionfgurl18 Yeah, I try to keep up with the Russian ladies but they're just getting younger and better. It's incredible. I'm curious to see how they fare as they get older and their bodies change. That's always a curious stage to watch.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter I must be old if every skater I see has a 3/3 in their arsenal. I mean, not really everyone, but it's getting pretty insane.

  • really odd and competitive how skaters especially in ladies

they get younger and younger and full pack already, yes it will

be interesting how they progress as they get older but Julia is already a real rare talent indeed

I think its because of the new CoP , you need 3/3 combos to

help get an advantage just like most men do quads nowadays

  • @fashionfgurl18 Yeah it's really crazy. I seems like they all can do 3/3's and they can all do the "I spin" when once upon a time it was novel and rare. They'll hopefully do better component score-wise as they get older. This girl probably has the best performance quality I've seen in her age group, so I'm hopeful.

  • @RevShaqueefa No doubt. It's great to see girls in Russia do triple triples. Since the rules changed a lot since Vancouver, the scores from vancouver is a lot harder to obtain now with new rules. The rules were easier in Vancouver, but now spins and footwork are one of the most important things now. Especially jumps. Since jumping is one of the most important things to have, these girls can carry skating into an even harder level than it was in Vancouver. No doubt they can do it.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter You mean the various elements have different point values now? Like the same move wouldn't score as high nowadays? Or is it they're looking for more variety; I remember you mentioning that a while ago. So the same skater has to be capable for more things.

  • @RevShaqueefa Yes. Quads and Triple axels are really important in men's skating, and double axels are worth .2 less than vancouver, and can only do 2 now in long program. In spins, you can't repeat certain positions now, that's why the spins are different now and looks like everyone is doing the same things. Compared to Vancouver, everyone did the same things, but it's a lot harder now. It's hard to gain huge points than it was in Vancouver.

  • I don't think she'll be old enough to compete in the next Olympics. She'll be 15, not 16.

  • @RevShaqueefa Before the last July 1st. She was born before July 1st.

  • @filipinoICEsk8ter Wow, that's kind of amazing :O

  • Wait, so, if everything goes good for the next 3 yrs, she'll qualify for the Russian Olympic Team yes?

I hope so. Holy COW!! She's amazing

  • she has so many "wow" moments in this lp i lost count. Everything she does is = WOW.

    crazy amazing good.

  • So, How old exactly is she here? She will go through a lot in the next few years, for sure!

  • Julia is 13 years old.

  • @fashionfgurl18 Thank you..

  • she is so pretty! her jumps are amazing, i can't wait to see when she gets more 3+3's under her belt. the only thing i don't like about this program is how many flexibility moves she has...lets bring your leg up here, here, and here.

  • I like her more than Sotnikova or Tuktamisheva, she's more elegant and graceful and has cleaner landings on the jumps (L) Totally love her! Europe has a future in Ladies FS in her, and that didn't happen since long ago.

  • well I think Sotnikova, Lipnitskaya and Tuktamisheva are all very talented but different

in their own ways as skaters, but I agree Lipnitskaya's Lutz jumps are solid, and the sound on that landing was amazing. she has a regal and elegant look. she came close to Sotnikova in winning Gold here , I would not be surprised if she will win next year

  • @fashionfgurl18 she should practise a more diff combination than the 3 toe - 3 toe if she wants to catch Sotnikova technically, but somehow her better transitions and more fluid landings in the jumps can put some balance in this matter. Meanwhile I think she has better command on the ice and her PC's should pay off for this too. Thanks for answering, I subscribed to your channel. lots of kisses :)

  • thanks. well for now I agree, Julia's 3/3 combos are not yet that difficult compared to Sotnikova or Tuktamysheva but she makes up for it with her elegant and clean skate

and I agree her ice coverage is huge and I love it, and she has musicality

she is already changing her 3T-3T and trying new things like 3F-3T ;)

  • Sorry, I've mistaken. I didn't remember the deadline was on July. Thank you for the refreshing :) Well, that means Russia becomes stronger and stronger for these Olympics with all this young generation, ladies, men, pairs...if they grow up well and with no injury, it may be hard for other nations !

  • well, wait til she's done growing--then you can qualify her for the sochi olympics ;)

  • HARASHO!!! Awesome!

  • @fashionfgurl18 @spavajjg yo are both wrong. She will be only 15, that is true. But a 15 year old CAN compete at the Olympics in figure skating. The rule is actually that the skater must be 15 by the previous July 1. The deadline is July, it has nothing to do with the date of the Olympics. Julia was born in June and makes the deadline, as she will be 15 before July 1. She is eligible for Sochi.

  • She'll win next year

  • A prodigy! Too bad she is still a child but so good and so pretty: a little diva.

  • She is just AMAZING: a lot better than Tuktamysheva and technically outstanding!!

  • my goodness, that was amazing.

  • fashionfgurl18, a 15-year-old can't take part to the Olympics in figure skating. You must be at least 16

  • @spavajjg Липницкая сможет выступить на ОИ в СОЧИ ..она по возросту проходит!!!

  • oh sorry bout that, but yes I look up her birthdate :)

Julia will be 16 by 2014 Winter Olympics , so she is eligible to compete !

  • @spavajjg Actually she can. Tara Lipinski was 15 when she competed and won the Olympics, and Elene Gedavanishvili was 5 months older than the deadline for the 2006. Julia Lipniskya can compete since she turns 15 before july 1st 2013, so she's eligable.

  • Если ей в дальнейшем будут ставить хорошие программы, то у нее будет большое будущее

  • She has a great smile-I wish she had shown it some in her program. She was rather expressionless but tons of potential there! Cohen-esque flexibility but far superior technique and jump content! She's very young so alot of time to work on expression, etc. :)

  • @faeryquene i wish the same about her expression, but then again, the music does not lend itself to a lot of smiling. maybe if she does a more fun, whimsical piece, then we can see more of her smile

  • Просто молодчина!!!У тебя большое будущее!!!

  • Julia should have won gold not silver, imo

you can hear the loud cheer and applause from the audience.

Julia stole the show and was the best in the long program perfect and clean skate

but Adelina also had a wonderful short program, so I think that's ok.

  • I think this season marked the start of the rebirth of Russian ladies dominance in skating. I think maybe the top 8-9 skaters at these nationals would all have a shot at getting a medal at worlds. Most of them are pretty young as well, so they still have a long time progress even further.

  • wow, that was beautiful, BRAVO Julia !!!

she really is the darkhorse to win 2014 Olympics

can you imagine a 15 year old winning Gold at the Olympics, :D

haven't seen someone that young that could win since Tara Lipinski,
