It's supposed to be the ending of Crisis Core, since FF7 starts where Crisis Core left off. FF7 Crisis Core is a prequel

Though I wish it were so, there are no current plans for a remake. Crisis Core comes out soon, however, so that's something to look forward to. Let's hope that Square realizes fans are dying for a remake of VII...

I'm convinced that the remake IS going to be made, maybe not for the PS3, but at some point they will.

I hope they'll include some additions to the original game when they do though. I especially would like an expanded time in Midgar, there's plenty of oppertunity to add more playtime to that city, many sectors went untouched. I hope we'll be free to move anywhere we want (jump building, etc). Of course the original version of the game should be included as a bonus :)

All I can say is that they should have made the Final Fantasy 7 remake instead of Advent Children. If they re-made FF7 for ps3 and nothing else, sony and square both would be wiping their arses with 100$ bills. I would definately buy a PS3 just to play the game.

well this should be on the ps3 to boost the se ps3 market up and snatch the top spot from xbox. since xbox is already buying all the exclusive rights from what is meant to be ps3 exclusives. sony entertainment is currently funding square enix. but. we are yet to know what project is being funded. all we know is sony is funding square on a remake of something. and they denied anything regarded to details of the "secret project"

Sad as it may be. I'd queue for days on end outside a games shop waiting for its release. This would make them mega bucks if it was anything good as the original. To save money, they should use the character layouts that they used to the characters in Advent Children

There's still a possibility of a remake.

Go to IGN, then go to the "FFVII: Technical Demo for PS3" section, then read the latest interview from Nomura (from July 2007).

Nomura said that Square Enix is not making a FFVII remake AT THE MOMENT. But might think about it if fans are still wanting it in a few years. (he personally wants to make one right now. hahaha).

The PS3's graphics are like 10 times better than the PS2, why would you want it on the PS2? I'm no graphicholic, but that's the only reason FFVII should be remade. If it's going to be remade, it should be made on the new system (PS3).

Alright people, this ISN"T A GAME! They are NOT Remakeing Final Fantsy VII, At all. Period. PERIOD. Square said that The TECH DEMO is simply a DEMO. That's it. It's what VII would look like on a PS3, just like the FFVIII Demo they showed for the PS2, but it wasnt remade, despite being loved by there own fans.

Yes it's official, Squarenix announced in the summer i think it was may or june that they infact, will remake FFVII the entire game from scratch! they said sometime summer of 2007 or fall of 2007 it'll be out around that time! Im not lying go on IGN. I cant wait! If 360 or Wii are at the top FFVII remake will automatically make ps3 # 1 no matter what!
