Obviously the GTR has some hop up parts. The nissan is faster when it comes to acceleration even when it is a stock car. The bugatti should win if both cars are stock, but the GTR obviously has some upgrades under the hood. And if you watch from 2:59 the GTR was loosing then all of a sudden the GTR takes off. Now either the Bugatti let off the gas or the GTR used NOS at the last minute.

@ChrisIsTL The GT-R has a twin turbo charger and it needs a specific damn lost the word. Either way way, it needs a specific rpm so it would go off as a bullet. But the Veyron own the GT-R at 1 mile drag. But the most conclusive drag is the 1/4 mile where the Skyline R35 is the king.

Actually, the full mile is the GTR's territory. Veyron has better acceleration off the line.

The word you were looking for is turbo lag. Which is exactly what you see in the video. Once that GTR's turbos suck in all that air, it's game over Veyron.

@37robles Turbo lag lol. It's not like it's running huge turbos. A quick shifting transmission, short gearing and awd is what makes people think the gtr is god. A 1500hp gtr doing 216 in the mile? I wouldnt call that gtr territory. Supras, vettes, vipers, ford gt etc have done much better with less hp, as im sure a veyron would too.

Gtrs are great course cars and decent drag cars but will never out run the above in a top speed/distance game. It's physics.

Impossible. Veyron 0-62mph is 2.46 sec. GTR 0-60mph is 3.1 sec. Veyron !/4 mile is 9.9. GTR 1/4 mile is 11.2. Veyron top speed is 253mph. GTR top speed is 193mph. The Veyron out performs (in a straight line) the GTR in every category. This was a bad race.

anybody notice the only reason the veyron was beaten is because the spoiler wasnt down, is that a spoiler was down (air brake) was down the gtr-35 would of been beaten easliy. BTW the only reason the veyron looks like that is because its aero dynamic and cuts throught the air easily.

@xDeanosaur spoiler, not air brake, air brake has a steeper angle, and jams air into it, much like a parachute, a spoiler disrupts air flow, causing it to flow faster around certain parts of the wing creating downforce little drag. Downforce helps aid traction, you're saying that with the wing down it would fly ahead, notice the road conditions? Wet, lots of power and wet don't go well together. You're also missing out that the GTR is far from standard.
