For one, my personal experience would lead me to say that the people in Europe and Australia are generally more pleasant and educated. I think education, employment and attitude is key, but if you look at Kennesaw, Georgia, after promoting gun ownership in 1982, the crime rate plummeted and remained low since. More guns in right hand = less crime
