I saw this band last week while I was on holiday in NYC. I'm not generally a big band fan - too much showboating for my liking - but they were awesome. James Genus was playing then too. If you're ever in NYC get to Birdland around 4.30 on a Friday!
Tommy is one of my favorites as well,if you haven't checked him out at Birdland on Fridays ,please do you' won't be disapointed this band smokes !Dancing men is a great chart. one of my all time favorites from the Buddy Rich book.Moonie, Tommy, and my teacher Jay Dittamo are the three drummers who still knock my socks off ! Rock on guys.
Tommy Igoe is one of my favorite drummers and when I watch him I see a lot of myself in him. I always believe you can do better even when you don't read sheet music. I know I would be honored to learn more from Tommy Igoe in person. He is totally awesome to watch and I appreciate and respect him 100 percent. He is a decent human being and honorable man.
I was there that night! Damn, it stops just as Tommy was about to go into hyperdrive. I remember he did this completely crazy hand/foot combo that had people screaming. Too bad it didn't make it on the clip.

Guys, this was taken by a fan with a still camera in video mode. There is no "full" version. It's just a little clip...

Nice to see this chart played well by great musicians. Buddy would enjoy it.
