  • the british are an abomination!

  • @atfatw Erm... You mean us pre-civilized times.

  • I hope the human race goes extinct.

  • It`s hard to think that thousands would eagerly have come to see someone being hung drawn and quartered. And then return home to eat their supper after what they had just seen. I`m glad I live in 21st century Britain, not the 16th!

  • And that's why u abay the law

  • Wallace gets serious torture on his stomach

  • the devil doesent exist...but evil in human kind trully exists and it is more sadistic, cruel, and grossome entity! and it spreads fast like a deseass!

  • Go back in time and nuke it from space, anyone ?

  • Oh my shish kabobs

  • it bought tears to ma eyez

  • Yes, yes humanity is great

  • Isn't humanity great?

  • One thing I never got, what type of sick crowd would cheer for something like that like it's a football game. Unless the person did something totally incomprehensibly evil to you personally (and even then) how could something like that make you so damn happy.

  • Not a comedy, then?

  • GROSS

  • @Pengu561 its actually a tv show called the the Tudors :)

  • How could anyone do this to another human being?

  • Comment removed

  • what movie is this from?

  • This is the first accurate murder scene i've seen in a while. And I watch a lot of murder/crime shows/movies.

  • That's not fair one gets a quick beheading while the other gets a painful death. I feel sorry for the girl too; she has no clue what happened to her lover. :(

  • WALLACE WALLACE WALLACE WALLACE !!!

  • We still live in a very dark age. Not much if anything has really changed. For many are kidnapped and brought to very dark places, such as these. It isn't necessary to officially bring this form of barbaric practice back. Instead, I long for the Lord's judgement day, when He cast's all the wicked and evil doers into the lake of fire.

  • One wonders why we humans are so cruel.

  • As long as people wish this to *any* other human being, I don't think we have changed a bit.

  • @bigderekkeene that's preposterous, that is a completely unjust and irration punishment and even so, wrongful convictions are a serious problem. It's also unconstitutional, we are guaranteed the right to never be the victims of cruel and unusual punishment.

  • i got to the weird part of youtube again...

  • What is worst?

North Korea under the Kim family?

Or England under the House of Tudors?

  • i feel sick!

  • no. SICK!!

  • WHAT MOVIE IS THIS OR WHATS IT FROM? TV?

  • @2Exotic2Fly2High it's from the series "The Tudors".

  • that particular time would have been terrible to exist in. In England at least, even for a nobleman.

it also sickens me to think of how barbaric we as humans are. nothing has changed there, only restrictions placed on what's deemed proper, which if lifted, would resort back to mid evil torture at the blink of an eye.

  • @Mr2pint Even though savagery still exists among people these days, I know fully well that most people would not want public executions brought back. Everyone I've ever discussed this with is against it. As am I.

  • Thank God for the Human Rights Act!!!

  • she is all dancing while her boyfriend is getting fucked up

  • Lovely...

  • See, I don't like how the common people have to go through all this sh*t, and there's these prissy, bratty princesses who dont have an fing idea what's going on in the world, all they care about is how good the bows in their hair look and where their next batch of chocolate is coming from.

  • There is NO justifiable reason for one person to take away another's life. NO reason WHATSOEVER!

  • @iheartslashers true you are ,but if a man has raped children, killed them ,killed people around him/her and damaged other peoples lives -there is no justifiable reason in this world to NOT take he's life and do the same to him that he did to hurt other people.AMEN!

  • @iheartslashers unless they fuck you in the ass

  • I will never sleep again.

  • The whole execution was designed in the mid 13th century as a degrading ritual on a prisoner convicted of the most foul, repulsive crime of the age, high treason under the Treason Act 1361. This act still remains on the statute book today.

The prisoner would be dragged on a hurdle to the gallows as they were not fit to walk God's earth. They would be drawn backwards to represent their backward nature. They would then be hanged by the neck between heaven and earth as they were fit for neither.

  • And people say a bullet to the head is brutal...

  • EUROPE WAS THE MOST CIVILIZED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!!

  • @cartertevin5 That is, scarily, true. Imagine what the rest of the world was doing at this time... I don't even want to know.

  • @cartertevin5 in pure opinion

  • Ah yes, the good old days when times were so much simpler...

Does anyone REALLY want to go back to them???

  • @CaneFu

You'd be surprised; I've received multiple comments and even PM's from people who would like to see torture and sadistic executions practiced in the western world again.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn

And those sick people should be the first to be the victims of it. About the time they were getting their guts yanked out I am sure they would deeply regret their choice. Imagine being innocent, as many people from those times were, and being sentenced to death by torture such as this - that's one reason we moved on. People have such a soft life today that they can't even imagine how hard life was back then.

  • @CaneFu

That's just it; they don't understand the concept of wrongful convictions, where we have innocent people being forced to admit guilt under the duress of torture, as well as being killed in horrific ways because of bad evidence and forced confessions.

This is why these methods have been largely dropped from practice in the developed world, because they simply do not work.

But people forget about history and revert back to their ignorance, this is why I have these videos up

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn

You couldnt be more right. There are real legislators men and women who the american people have voted for that push castration in males who molest children and rapists. Granted there is no way legitimizing torture, but consider their points. I, in my personal opinion, despise the idea of torture;however, the victims according to my observations are brutalized and forced to suffer mentally, physically, and emotionally. The traumatic incidences leave them scarred.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn The only thing that has changed is the lack of brutality in the modern world. People still get wrongly convicted, the legal system is just as bad if not worse in some respects due to high corruption.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn

they works depends what you need

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn

so you dont sentence someone to death without concrete evidence, not a difficult concept.

  • @CaneFu Surely it's just as sick to want people calling for it to be victims of it too? The death penalty is one thing...but cruel and unusual punishments are quite another.

  • @Hereticalable

"Surely it's just as sick to want people calling for it to be victims of it too?"

    No, it isn't....

    You reap what you sow.

  • @CaneFu So you believe in an eye for an eye, even when someone is simply calling for an eye for an eye?

What an interest code of conduct and morality you appear to have.

  • @Hereticalable

Good god you're an idiot. You're just wanting to argue about something that is meaningless at this point in history and I'm not going to waste anymore time with a troll like you. Go get yourself a job so you have something better to do with your time.

  • @CaneFu And you're an ill mannered wretch who doesn't seem to have enough basic human empathy to realise calling people idiots will not endear you to them or convince them of your point of view, no matter how right or wrong you may be. I am a qualified professional who probably earns more in a month than you do in six...but hey, keep up the baseless insults - I've really become enthralled by your style of arguing. Have you considered sales or politics as a career?

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn There are a lot of evil people in the world....sadistic people....

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn For sickos who kidnap, rape, and then murder little children, I would have NO problem seeing them dispatched in the manner shown by this video.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn well not torture, but this kind of execution should be resurrected for paedophiles and chld molestors.

This is what should be done to those vermin.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn It kept the crime rate down that's for sure

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn To those who truely deserve it of course.

  • @CaneFu I'd prefer not to be hung for stealing a hankie...

  • @CaneFu

you not think we are in such times ?

Perhaps you out to check out videos of Nick Berg and other recent events

  • @CaneFu NOOO I DON'T WANT TO!

  • @CaneFu Apparently, I think 300 years probably after this a sikh follower was dunked in cold water and then boiled because he didn't follow Islam. Islam was fucked up then, but it's still fucked up now, but not that much.

  • gosh and people say that we as a society are obsessed with violence now b/c of shit like call of duty...lmfao puhleeeeeeze just watch this shit

  • @fluffynoses

It's true; if anyone tells you that the media is causing the problems in the world, or that the world is getting worse in general, feel free to tell them to pick-up a history book

  • The torture is bad enough itself, but it makes me wonder about the torturers. I mean, who could do something like that to another human??? I wonder if these men were chosen, like we're randomly chosen to do jury duty or if it's something they signed up to do, like one would sign up for the armed forces.

  • In the wards of George Carlin "If you see an execution and the heads man tells all around what the convicted did its probably a clear if not physical message too not do what the convicted did they see the execution or public torture and no less then an hour later what we do we do exactly what we were told not to do WHAT ARE WE FUCKING STUPID"

  • Good old merry England O.O

  • I thought drawn and quartered had to deal with horses ripping you apart?

  • @chrisz71

There are different methods for quartering, which generally varied by nation and, from what I know, exclusively used for regicide and other forms of treachery.

I know the one involving horses was used in France, which if you read descriptions of how they went about doing this it actually sounds more horrific than the method the English used in my video

  • I wish they cut out the scenes with that stupid ballerina bitch, that has nothing to do with it.

  • how did they get the fake heads after the person was beheaded?

  • @The97smith

Editing. They likely used a prop for the actual beheading and spliced it with the actors scene to make it look real

  • Blimey... why the hell would you want to do that to someone...

  • @101Sesshomaru

this method was used for acts of treason, so it was a good way for a monarch to terrify ones people into submission

  • this is horrible

  • Being HUng drawn & Quartered isn;t a torture..It's A death Sentence!

  • @Freyja1133

yes, a torturous death sentence. The whole purpose of these tortures was to inflict as much pain before killing the accused

  • There was no drawing and no emasculation in this scene.

  • Wow first guy is lucky

  • @skimyy The first guy is Thomas Culpepper. Because he once held the king's favour, the king felt merciful and allowed his execution to be a simple beheading so that he would not suffer. The other guy was given the full execution because the king saw no reason to show him any kind of mercy.

  • I'd say crucifixion is worse than this. It is a slow and painful death which can take several hours. This is what the Romans used to frighten people from ever revolting against Rome or the emperor.Even the Romans sometimes shoved "mercy" by braking the legs in order to hasten the death

The only reason crucifixion wasn't used in Medieval Europe was because it was the torture Jesus had to endure and naturally people wouldn't want to subject criminals to the same fate as the person they worshiped.

  • Ugly bitch is ruining the torture scene

  • This is what they should have done to Casey Anthony, lol

  • Dis must suck like fuck

  • and i watched this video one day before supper because.....

  • I just want to know why the fuck she's dancing.

  • @tyrelroo

she's a ditzy hedonistic girl whose loosing her mind, knowing that they'll come to tell her she's going to be executed any minute

She's dealing with the situation irrationally because she's irrational to begin with

  • @tyrelroo they are contrasting betwixt a stupid crefree girl naive in life, and reality

  • @tyrelroo bitch:)

  • You don't screw Henry VIII's woman...

  • Perhaps this is why the sun doesn't shine much in England & its usually cold most of the year.. Besides being close to the Arctic, it seems like a there's a massive black cloud over the entire United Kingdom because of all the hatred that was born there since the middle ages and beyond

  • @1SexiNici Thats right because this sort of thing is absolutely unique to this Sceptered Isle.......

  • @1SexiNici They did this stuff all over Europe

  • I hate that bitch dancing around. It just clashes so much...

  • 5) Their body is than divided into four sections (quartered) and, along with their head, put on public display in an attempt to deter people from committing treason.

Like most penalties today, they try to make an example out of people. And like back then and today, it still doesn't work.

  • that's ok, i wasn't hungry tonight anyway

  • @themaxster100 I think I'll order a huge steak.....

  • @wardenphil eeeeeeweeweweww ewwey!! *jumps on tip toes* eeeweweweweeeewewewwey!

  • why didn't they show it?

  • @CambridgeHeights

the show was on cable so they can basically show almost anything

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn but they didn't show the actual act. They didn't show the intestines and penis being removed.

  • @CambridgeHeights

there is actually a clip from a Helen Mirran version of Elizabeth I series that showed the actual disemboweling and quartering process

It's still on Youtube called "Helen Mirren as Elizabeth I -- Mary Queen of Scots trial", it's about 5 minutes in, and yes, rather graphic....

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn I can't find it. Can u mail me the link. Chares.

  • @18scotslad

no problem, I've PMed the link of the video to you

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn Thanks alot.

  • when i get finish with these videos, i'll be able to transform to a vampire

  • even women used to enjoy watching that :D

  • O.o

  • right now i'm confused, whether this clips make me want to watch The Tudors or rather avoid it

  • GO to microsoft office and type satan and god with not caps it tells you to capitalized Satan wtf?

  • Sick fuck

  • If I had a choice of which guy to be, I would choose the guy that was first executed - having your head cut off like that is much quicker than being hung drawn and quartered.

  • oh man. watching the end made my abdomen hurt...

  • what the fuck is with the woman dancing while a man has his intails cut out of him so out place with whats going on

  • Very wrong thing in this scene, women back then always weared something to cover their hair. It was disrepectfull to show their hair.

  • Comment removed

  • I suppose the baying crowd mentality surrounding reality TV is a SLIGHT improvement ...

  • isnt it impossible to believe people could really cheer watching this. i can only imagine back then there was far greater fear in everyday life. ie they must have thought this man was the utter devil to cheer his demise like this.

  • @maxgunn555

People still cheer outside of penitentiaries when someone is being executed in the USA. And I've heard people cheer on video when a woman is being stoned to death in the Middle East, as well as in beheadings and after suicide bombings.

The human species has a long way to evolve out of this blood thirst

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn purely abstract and theoretically speaking if i met the devil who had say a perfectly well funcitoning brain and had shown capacity for great kindness e.t.c. yet somehow behind the scenes and if not for pure luck of 0.001% of his evil acts say child mutiliation. and this person had enjoyed a wealthy great life then you could imagine some sort of severe punishment want of him. you wouldnt mind and might indeed want say if hitler got beheaded.

  • @maxgunn555

not really, I don't see anything great about someone dieing, even if they've done horrible things. Their death doesn't bring back the people they hurt, it just causes more pain, that's all

In other words, I'd rather not stoop down to the level of a sociopath by killing out of vitriol and revenge

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn i really dont either i'd be against it now. but im trying to imagine if i was in a more primitive society with a general lack of understanding of things and perhaps a stronger belief in things like heaven and hell and the devil and their relevence in everyday life. in purely abstract terms if you imagine the devil ie the concept were a living person then you can see why they'd want his painful demise. there must have been heightened general superstitious fear back then.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn It doesn't bring about pain. When someone has done horrible things that are beyond human imagination, people want this person to pay. Since they usually don't care if they stay in prison until they die since prisons in the west are sufficiently comfy, how can you punish them?

I agree that killing them is pointless in the sense that the people they have killed won't come back from it but it permits a certain catharsis for the survivors when a torturer is killed.

  • I don't even need to sign in to watch this but I have to give my age to watch people loving kissing each other. That's fucked up.

  • @aaronfromhastings

What, nobodies flagged this yet? I'm actually surprised

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn what is the movie?

  • @aaronfromhastings Tell me about it!

  • @sns21274 I think it actually IS still commonplace, the baying mob. How many times to we see self-righteous people on message boards calling for hanging to return, or public flogging//torture, and not just for suspected murderers or rapists, but for people who stole something or damaged property. This is precisely why you need some form of governemnt - to keep people's innate violent tendencies from spilling over into acts of vindictive barbarism of the type you see in parts of the Middle East.

  • Henry commuted Culpeper 's punishment to beheading becuse he knew him personally. That seems to be the ultimate decision for him, if he knew the person they would just be beheaded.

  • I find these videos horrible to watch, but i can't help myself, i just keep clicking the next one to watch

  • @TalonMercenary absolutely normal. they're irresistable to watch because we know this is what is important to know about in history. fuck who was in power and who invaded who and all that. it's about the everyday people and the laws and punishment and the hobby's like the guy above top comment this must have been there entertainment. this is important history.

  • @TalonMercenary me too!!

  • @TalonMercenary Same here. I feel like a sick person. XP

  • This happened to Guy Fawkes too :( RIP Guido :(

  • Will someone tell this bitch to stop dancing?

    She's really killing the mood.

ahaha, the first guy looks like Chael Sonnen.

  • @InfernalX19A yeah he could've wrestled his way out of this mess

  • is he dead? 0.o

  • When they executed the second man there wouldn't be blood because the heat would have burned the veins shut right? I'm not trying to diss on it, I'm just asking.

  • @sns21274 Read book "Lord of the Flies". It is pretty much all you need to know that all human beings are a mere stone's throw away from being ruthlessly barbaric to another.

  • Wow. They were brutal in those days. Things are better today but not that much better. Civilized society is a very thin illusion to hide the beast in us.

  • @TubingWithMyGnomies Absolutely true.

  • Is there any reason why Dereham was not allowed the quicker death aswell?

  • @MissCharmed789

Henry VIII (in the series) wanted Dereham to suffer more for being the one to take Catherine Howards virginity, but it's unclear if that was his motive.

It's presumed that Henry allows Culpepper a swifter execution because he had been well liked by him to the point of making him his Privy Chamber, so there was an emotional attachment there in spite of the transgression

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn Thanks, I was curious as to why one got a dignified, split second death and the other got a completely undignified, excrutiatingly painful death for the same crime.

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn What is the name of this series?

  • @shadowman2192

    The Tudors

  • This isnt a real good example of what they used to do... they hung them until they were almost dead and did it until it pleased them., then cut them open and pulled their intestines out but yet you could still be alive so then for the people that were alive, ripped off their arms and legs. One of the most crucial punishments.

  • The title is gramatically incorrect, it would be 'hung' not 'hanged' because the word 'hanged' is not in the English language.

    Just saying........

  • @WaterBottle1998 Nope, if it's being done to a living person it's "hanged".

  • @SheltonP Wait are you American? Because our grama slightly differs

  • @sns21274 yes but that is the modern view, that was hundreds of years ago its what happened also the crowd only know they are guilty so they want him dead nothing much happened back then for entertainment that is why executions were the things to see

  • Oh man, I feel like such a sadist enjoying all these clips. XD MUWAHAHAHAHAHA Ah, the middle ages was a glorius age soaked in blood~!

  • Is this allowed on youtube, Holy shit that is discusting

  • White people are sick. Next time whites talk about how barbaric we are, I will point to this, the grand inquisition and the gladiator games, shit that NEVER happened in the great kingdoms of ancient Africa and even now. This is just...who the fuck....only white people would come up with such elaborate, sick shit!

  • which one is culpepper

  • @iloveyousomuch238

the one who is beheaded at the start

  • This was the "entertainment" of the day ... because they had no T.V. or Computer Games.

  • @Cherubaby Wow, that's a very "on point" comment.

  • at least this bitch was actually guilty, unlike wife number 2

  • @sns21274 About 20 years ago a pro IRA mob decended on two men in a car in Northen Ireland. The mob thought they were going to shoot someone . They were atually undercover MI5 officers observing an IRA funneral. The "mob" got suspecious then dragged them from their cars , beaten , stripped naked, bundled into a taxi and driven off. Their bodies were later found in a back alley. They had been executed with a bullet in the head. Thats the "mob" for you! Mob mentality will always be there.

  • what movie/series is this?

  • This show sucks... Just like Medieval Europe in general.

  • Probably one of the most torturous methods of execution in history. Firing squad is still the best method today.
