Musings RE: Porcupine Tree @ Queen Elizabeth Theatre (September 30, 2009)

i saw Porcupine Tree in Manchester back in December, it was easily one of the best shows ive ever been to. it was even more special when i met Richard, John and Steven at a pub after the show, very nice guys and Steven gave me a hug before he left, im still buzzing about it :D

Well guys, yes it is tough to sit through this but it beats the hell out of going to some stand up venue with a bunch of idiots in front with no regard to other people and fighting most of the night for your space rather than watching the show. I was in the first row but way to the right, so far I didn't see Gavin playing until the encore. That part sucked for a guy who thought first row was prime. Yes, good acoustics but not a great venue regarding seating

I was sitting in row D, 4th from the front, bought my ticket from a couple who didnt have the 3rd person from their group coming, pretty good, seeing as I almost paid 150 off a scalper. Got em' for 80 dorra. I know its over priced, but I'm fine with it haha

Was very very good. But! I felt that I was the youngest person there! hahaha. I came all the way from Australia, so glad I saw them, was gob-smacked. On the note of being the youngest there, I had to leave after they had finished playing their first set (disk one) I also wasn't spoken to by the secos' for my camera :S

Saw them in 2007 at the Danforth Music Hall as well and it was the same seated theatre configuration. Not to distract from PT's performance though, which was fucking awesome!!

Don't like the QET.... Nice acoustics, but one men's bathroom for 2,500 people?? WTF??

Yes it felt so odd having to sit down. I wanted to get up and lose my shit. I was very disappointed with the venue.
