speakin of earing, Ive had a lory hang off my nose ring, and a cockatoo grabbed my septum and hung on too! eh, its funny around me bites are just for play even if i dont know the bird!
i dont know whats going on with people. Why r evryone afraid of parrots? I have a cockatiel my friend put a finger in her cage, than she did that petting position that parrots do, my friend screamed and ran away :/
Affectionate nibble even though I'm sure he knew she was nervous. If you have a Red-lored you can this one is calm, friendly and just wanted to let her know he liked her. I have a large female Red-lored and right now during mating season she'll attack any woman who comes within range, so I know what they look like when they're upset or aggressive. Men and children don't get an immediate level of dislike but it's still not safe letting them get close. No need to be so nasty to the sister, btw.
A couple of thoughts: Bird bites hurt a lot more than you would think. The girl is right to feel freaked out. 2. Never put a Parrot on your shoulder unless you are comfortable losing an ear, eye, lip, cheek or nose.
@MagicalPotatoChip 100% agree with that. Especially an Amazon. Even the most well behaved amazon can dish out a nasty "nip" when the mood takes it. And if someone don't want to be in contact with an animal, don't force them!! I imagine that guy would more than likely freak if i started placing any of my ornamental tarantulas on his shoulder!!!
Lmfao!!

I understand being afraid of the potential bite of a bird, but I had to laugh at the sister's reaction. :)

@MagicalPotatoChip Or you have built up a good trusting relationship with the bird. Even still you take a risk :-)
