One thing I always found disturbing about this story is that in order to be accepted he has to find his own "kind". The ducks were racist. The cruelty in that always upset me.

I really like the story about " The Ugly Duckling " in the end because he finds family that's related to him and he's not alone after all, he also finds a mother that loves him(his own and real mother)and talks just like him, too!!! His parents got in a fight because the mom is a cheating whore and the dad peaced it outta there. Then the mom gets rid of the bastard child because it ruined her marriage and it's ugly. Cool, thanks Walt Disney, I learned all about child trauma in less than 10mins.

This is a little different than the original fairy tale. The duckling became a beautiful swan in the end but in this one he was trying to find where he belonged and who is his real family.

I like that disney changes some of the fairy tales to make the audience curious. I mean if the cartoon is similar to the story book it will be a little dull to watch but if there's something unexpected it could attract an audience.

at 3:00 the ducklings are on the mothers back well one day i seen one of my duck and her ducklings siting down then one of the duckling jumped on the mother ducks back then the mother got up and looked back at the duckling and the duckling jumped off her back XD
