  • No one's heard of torrents, then?

  • @pobhockle Yes, but they're more illegal than watching on youtube.

  • @CorrosionMedia How so?

  • @pobhockle Serious?

  • @CorrosionMedia Yes, please explain.

  • @pobhockle Torrents in general aren't illegal. However, sharing copyrighted content (e.g. tv shows, films, games and music) is. So, downloading copyrighted material is illegal.

  • @CorrosionMedia And how is this different to YouTube?

  • @pobhockle Because you don't store the content for an appreciable length of time and you do not subsequently share the file, unlike with a torrent. Nobody has been prosecuted for youtube displaying copyrighted content save youtube itself where as with torrents there have been personal prosecutions.

  • @JimothyMcgee I think it's a bit mental that everyone would "report" this to the BBC, when that's just pointing him out? "Go on, Nick, do the dirty work for us!" If they changed their policy tomorrow, who's gonna get the blunt of it here?

  • @pobhockle yeah but he said he didn't mind people reporting it, the BBC's content belongs to the people it should be able to be watched by them in my opinion

  • he is back as NFFAgain. he does get money from uploading so it isnt a selfless act.

  • @ihnlChiv does he, he is not a partner and god knows the bbc don't pay him

  • @JimothyMcgee before youtube makes people partners, google allows them to earn around 50p for each ad click. its much more inconsistent than views but its still money. it can be copyright material as well as long as itgets views. my friend at university used to upload old bbc documentaries and louis theroux programs and he told me.it is still nice of him though as i doubt he is getting more than £50 for his time.i dont know if this applies to him but my friend was getting paid.

  • @ihnlChiv Well thats against the terms of service and illeagal, also I can't find adverts on any of his videos. I have another account called jimothyjimson with 600k views maybe I should monetise it :)

  • @JimothyMcgee he probably doesnt do it then but i know its possible.i pretty sure YT doesnt care too much about legality esp with broadcasters like the bbc. ive seen movies from last uploaded and stayed for months before being taken down and the person kept their channel.i dont think my mate had anything to gain from lying. you should 100%.

  • @JimothyMcgee oki doki I'll look into it

  • Have just complained - can't believe this was taken down AGAIN. Back to watching American drivel with laugh tracks cos god knows the audience needs to be told when to laugh at the pathetic attempts at humor. Argh.

  • @MsLogicwins Hey, A Bit of Fry and Laurie had laughter in the background. Then again, it WAS a live audience...

  • I've just submitted my complaint.

  • Thanks so much for this! I always feared this day would come, and hoped that someone like you would be there to direct us about further steps! Nick's one of the only ways people like me in Canada can get content like this, and he's a big reason I paid to subscribe to iPlayer here the first day it was available.

  • I love Nick from Fulham, I've never met anyone from Fulham but if they are anything like Nick I'm sure they are all good folk.

Thanks Nick for allowing me to marvel and adore Mr. Stephen Fry every night! Probably the best free education a person could receive.

  • I was wondering where he went. BBC, get ready for a shitstorm coming straight from my Account.

  • oh nooooz..so that's what's happened to one of my fave subscribed channels :|

  • I mean I love Nick for uploading stuff but why should the BBC allow it? They do need to sell their dvd's.. I expect a million thumbs down but just feel the need to point out the obvious.

  • @carefaceeightyseven hmmm, The sales of BBC merch. won't be affected by channels like this. If anything the sales will go up because people are going to want to own it.

Listening to a song on the radio doesn't mean you won't buy the single. They should see it as free advertising. I bought numerous dvd's from the BBC because of youtube.

  • @rotyoung Having something readily available on the internet is in no way, shape or form going to increase sales. Sorry.

To point out again aswell, I'm a fan of Nicks I watch his QI uploads when I miss them on TV. Just playing devils advocate here.

  • i agree....!!!! went to watch my qi and my playlist and it was gone and i saw the stupid announcement... noooo nick ... thanks to you i can watch shows like qi and mock the week.... why!!! :((

  • I WAS WONDERING WHERE THE SWEET LAD WENT! thank you for the heads up sir. I'm a Singaporean in love with NMTB. i needed my fix and Nick was there. we love NICKFROMFULHAM!

  • BRIAN BLESSED IS DUE SOON!! FU BBC!

  • Ah, so that's why I haven't had any subscriptions from him as of late. Bollocks to BBC!

  • I love Nick since he allows me to follow my fav BBC shows since I'm not living in the UK anymore. What exactly was the thing that JC did that got him kicked from youtube?

  • I'm inclined to take that pint! :-P

  • I couldn't believe my luck when I found NickFromFulham's channel. I live in HK, I'm a Brit, missing the great British comedy. Lets get this back on the inter-waves!

  • (Last) I hope the BBC acknowledges the joy YouTubers like NickFromFulham give to a worldwide audience, and refrain from disallowing their opportunity to explore familar and discover new wonderful programmes.

  • (contd) Although the YouTube channel in question does technically violate copyright, there is no profit involved or sought after by the uploader. He merely wishes to entertain viewers, and share programmes that have become international favourites through his channel. The most common sentiment amongst viewers left in the comments is that of gratitude. So many people would not have the chance to see the programmes, were it not for NickFromFulham.

    (Contd)

  • (contd.)

Removing NickFromFulham's channel robs people of the opportunity to see how wonderful British programming can be. Some overseas viewers may not have had the opportunity to watch these programmes before, or may not be able to view them through licenced channels.

    (Contd)

  • I wrote this to the BBC complaints dept.:

I'm sure it has been pointed out several times that the wonderful efforts of YouTube user NickFromFulham have allowed people from all over the world to enjoy BBC programmes such as QI, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Would I lie to You, etc. These programmes are informative, entertaining, and demonstrate the best of British television.

    (contd.)

  • Bless your soul!

  • Nick, I also owe you a pint!

  • I am from Norway. I pay FoxyProxy for access to a proxy so that I can watch Qi from the bbc homepage(which I have been told is legal). I am quite happy with that. However, the BBC can be slow and their Iplayer is inferior to Youtube. Therefore I often went to Nickfromfullhan for Qi videos when they came out. He uploaded quickly, cleanly and functionnally. He represented the show's run by BBC far better than Iplayer. Having Nickfromfullham banned is a disgrace to the people making shows for BBC.

  • BBC= Big Breasted Cunts.

  • Done.

  • Nick's a bloody legend. Without him none of us who are not 'privileged' enough to be living in the UK -and therefore able to use the BBC iPlayer- would get the opportunity to enjoy hight quality TV. I swear, there' not a single show on German TV that comes even CLOSE to QI etc...

  • BASTARDS!!!!!!

  • Can't the BBC see it was being promoted by Nickfromfullham??.

All of us abroad who can't watch the BBC were being turned into BBC fans by watching Nickfromfullham's channel.

I, for one, got several people to watch and we all became admirers of many of BBC's programs.

This move to take out Nick's channel is shortsighted.

  • Plug NickFromFulhamAgain into the search bar at the top of the page.

More petulant arrogance from today's BBC now it is run entirely by suits.

"to inform, educate and entertain": Lord Reith must be spinning fast enough in his grave to stick a drive-belt on him and generate enough electricity to power the Blackpool Illuminations.

  • Sign to end the censorship of Nick's videos: gopetition-dot-com/petitions/end-censorship-of-bbc-tv-uploads-by-nickfromfulham

  • nick is a legend. i was devastated when this fantastic person was taken off. Be well nick and always feel you have done a great service for those who enjoy fantastic english comedy.

  • Ah it was only a matter of time..
