I listened it a lot in seventies and for years allmost forgot it... Until last decade or so when these songs every time when I play them again strike me with unspoiled modernity, melancholy anxiety, some kind of poetic illness and above all - with beauty beyond compare... One of 5 greatest albums I ever listened. Perhaps greatest...

This album is beyond most folks comprehension. The typical first blush response is a far cry from what it really is. Forget the stereotypical responses and listen to the album for cripes sakes. Go ahead, try and create a mood with the depth White Noise has. I challenge anyone. This release has stood the test of time and any attempt at anything similar pales in comparison. Period.

@therealKINDLE Try listening to some Broadcast ("Unchanging Window" for example). Just like back in the 60's (and every decade for that matter), you have to skim below the surface to find the really good music.

You won't find it in the top 40...

I thought I was the only one with that album. Thing is I have two of the same album but they have different covers. The first one has 88 pictures of the same ear put out by Island Records. After getting wore down I picked up another copy which has the lighting bolt cove put out by Antilles Record.

the same thing happened to me a decade earlier....one cant deny there's an evil element to it...the whole album is born in the occult-I didnt understand what is was back then but I know this album suggests all sorts of gnostisism-something we need to stay away from, thats for sure! Satan placed the idea in our heads from the beginning that we could be like gods if we just ate from the tree of knowledge....the last lyric says it all........ "take me and you'll begin to understand"
