  • I saw this tour in Ft Lauderdale...

It was one of them moments where you could die, because you finally lived.

  • You gotta love those three female vocalists.

  • ABSOLUTE GENIUS

  • amazing amazing amazing!!!!!!!!

  • Saw this concert live in Santa Ana, Ca....It was the best! Really sounded and felt like Pink Floyd ( I did see Floyd in '94 in San Diego live, got lucky and won tickets! The concert was great but it did miss Rogers voice)... I was close to the front and got there just as this song was starting to play...yeah I was late because I was in the parking lot getting lit...was worth it tho, I felt Roger was talking to me on this song...I swear he was looking at me! haha!..Im lit now,,,this version Rocks

  • Thumbs up if you immediately turned on by Roger's quick bass licks

  • @shohinliterati haha no thumbs...lol but i know what you mean! So I'll thumb up!

  • Finally a song that you can actually hear the tambourine!

  • david

  • Pink Floyd is the only band on this plant that I fully enjoy each and everyone of their songs.

  • the fucken man! (besides the fact he wouldn't let the bruthaz use the name Pink Floyd) awesome fucken harmonies.

  • this and Zep's Rain Song will take you to another place when you close your eyes.

  • 6:24 - staring contest

    6:28 - Roger: "You blinked!"

  • Could someone please tell me if there's a way,I can at least listen to Roger Waters Comfortably Numb, from this concert ?When the 2 guitars duel,it's one of my favorite parts. But it's been blocked in the states,by some idiots.Any help would be appreciated.

  • @Zeke1950 dude i totally just saw that the other night on t.v, i was like wtf?? this shit was on epic, mind blowing proportions. unfortunately i only caught the last 3 songs of the concert. i was like this nigga tryina battle roger waters and he sounds pretty good. i was tripping out of my fucken mind lmao. nearly cried lol.

if i find it i shall send it to you, should you chose to accept my friend request. peace and respect bruthaz

  • @Zeke1950 i got this whole concert off of piratebay, dogs is amazing on it too

  • the first time I heard this song being played live was at the Australian Pink Floyd show.. and I was blown away by the bass/drums.. this is.. soooooo gooooooood.... its ... just.... soooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooood. haha

  • this song made my nipples so hard

  • god i wanna be able to sing like that

  • Also this is better than the studio song.

  • @tacvbahead Definetely. This is the best version out there.

  • liiiiiiiiiike

  • love song

  • Thumbs up if you were immediately put off by the background singers.

  • I cam back here for 10 gazillionth time, to remind me where I've been.

  • @gilmourguitar123

This version is actually better that the original one.And Roger's voice is great. In my oppinion.

  • @gorshgajl I think it's the backup singers... his choices were always slightly better in my opinion...I first heard his arrangement during the Radio KAOS tour and was just blown away..

  • @rmaiolo Well I saw Roger in Oakland last year during his Wall Tour. And he just rocked. And the voice was great too for a man at that age.

  • check this this out

    watch?v=xVwf4Ipc7yI

  • Gilmour created 15 accounts and disliked this, LOL...

  • omg tht guy the suit is pissing me OFF!!!

  • @TwistedMentality089 that is andy fairweather lowe, a real musical great in guitaring, during dogs you see bramhall nod to him for approval during one of the solo's. he knows his stuff, roger used him for years on his tours

  • OMG ....

  • Goosebumps all over my spine ... Shit this song is epic !

  • There are different types of bands and different types of music ... Pink Floyd is in it's own category ... a God - sent collection of absolute GENIUS ... thank you ... P.S. 15 people have had been lobotimized 5 or six times too many ..... long live Pink

  • OMG !!!! WOW !!!

  • fffffffooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • 1:47 almos dead

  • disliked by 15 wusses.

  • This song sounds indescribably better with drums! And I'm really surprised how no one pointed that out till now :O

  • wow.

  • where IS the Legend button???

  • @wonputt777 Legen button is at David Gilmour

  • @ZliMare he didn't write this song, sorry pal

  • @METALLICA7757 who cares? o.O

  • @ZliMare got that right!

  • @wonputt777 my friend that was the greatest quote of all times :D

  • Brilliant, but this song needs gilmour belting out his vocals

  • @jmc2990 Actually Roger Waters actually sang most of the lead vocals on this song with David Gilmour the Harmony Vocals.

  • Roger Waters' entire career is a statement. He's not even so much about music, he's all about life. But I wish he worked more on positive things. He just seems to be pointing at all the flaws in our world, which doesn't really do much. Anyways great song, amazing performance, brilliant man!

  • This would be excellent without the lame background choir stuff. I wish they did it like this on the original version. The original sounds so special. There's no drums and the booming sound that goes left right left right all the time is a bit annoying

  • Welcome to the Machine- referring to Syd in his return to Floyd. Awesome writers, and musicians who actually aren't afraid to be human. The machine is the commercial music industry...something Roger was not too happy about I believe. The man has principals!

  • anyone have an idea how that keyboard thing works?

  • @GeneralSalt444

It is called a "Synthesizer", it uses electric oscillators to produce sound. It is then pumped through filters and LFOs to finish the sound.

    ~A Synthesizist...

  • @PinkFloydGuitarist Originally created using an EMS VCS3 synth, Xils Labs’ cool and quirky PolyKB virtual analog synth, a faithful representation of the extremely rare RSF PolyKobol.

  • Roger Waters is not the same without Pink Floyd and Pink Floyd is not the same without Roger Waters! The background choir gotta go!

  • I dislike this version - I think that the instrumentation is pretty poor compared to the original song. And the gospel choir spoils the song's mysterious atmosphere . Roger could have done better ....

  • 4:10 "played a mean guitar" and then cool guitar riff. sick :)

  • @andrewdiass thats a fill. Not a riff. But yeah it's a cool one

  • O Waters é ótimo, mas as musicas do Pink Floyd ficam perfeitas na voz do Gilmour

  • Seen Floyd 3 times,

    David Gilmour solo 1 time,

and Roger Waters solo 1 time

I would go see them any time or place in the world.

  • Quem ẽ o guitarrista canhoto ao lado do Snowy White?

  • in my opinion ; this machine song has a connection with Erick Fromms Mega machine idea.. or mega machine concept... he is defining this machine in his writing `escape from freedom`.. and also rogers line is very similar with him..

  • This dude must get mad amounts of pussy.

  • he always ate in the steak bar....he loved to drive in his Jaguar!........

  • No argument - SENSational !

  • @Furballll d'accord avec toi

  • PLEASE MY FRIEND UPLOAD AGAIN THE SONG "MOTHER"

  • some sick bass playing there

  • I don't think we'll see Floyds together once more... but watching Roger's performances can give you some sort of thrill.... even if David isn't there..

To enjoy them ALL together it's just a memory work... Shine on.

  • ooohh really? how did you come to this conclusion?

  • I love RW's voice.

  • I actually got goosebumps and went cold during this song...

  • is this from "the flash" tour ? (2000)

  • @MissAnekI In The Flesh Tour

  • Roger is a musical genius

  • roger that I'm on......racır abim yaparsa en güzelini yapar.

  • I do not like choirs here, but the rest is simply magnificent!

  • Alguien me puede decir en dode y cuando fue este concierto????

    Porfavorrr

  • AMAZING

  • Great song!!!

  • I love them both! But Gilmour bring chills to me when I hear him sing it !

  • are you all deaf??? nobody can sing this with so much feeling as david gilmour. and backing vocalists are terrible! sorry...

  • the only thing i dont iike is he changed most of the song and made the solo different sounding as hell

  • can you say is that guitar solo from 2:10 to 3:46 it's or keyboard solo?

  • @SydBarrett997 That's got to be a guitar solo.

  • eargasm!

  • The best artist of the 21st century.

  • The best artist of the 21st century

  • better than original

  • better tan original

  • a show is a show and needs to be enjoyed for the beauty of the show not compared to anything else. we would be stagnant if we watched and heard the same thing over and over without any new experiences

  • My second my most favorite Pink Floyd song, so far:)

  • honestly this version is okay but david gilmour vocals and guitar playing on the orginial is just a master piece....roger waters did a good job but welcome to the machine is suppose to be a dark tune and with roger its nonthing like that...david gilmour sings better and plays better than waters thats final!!!

  • i lovedd the back up singers that was a badass add, this is hands down my favorite version of this song

  • @Kolbrun44 yup, those singers lead by the legendary Katie Kassoon. Waters assembled gold here. He's a freakin' genius.

  • @bumblefrak much agreed my friend

  • I could do without the back up singers

  • Love this

  • he used to win a bass awards for his lazy not playing bass ass all the time.... gilmour laughed when he was asked did roger play the hey you bass and gilmour replied with ha! roger playing a fretless bass?... gilmour also has stated that roger wasnt big into improving his bass playing.... get owned cunt

  • What instruments is David able to play? There are quite a lot photos all over the

Internet that show him on all kinds of different instruments – maybe the list of

instruments he can't play on is shorter! (Sascha)

  • Agreed KalleEricson.....screw all these guys that say Gilmour this and

waters that....that is never what they were about....get a clue people......the point is thatr they are both iconic treasures in their own right.

  • 2:42 sounds like the halo theme song

  • I think we all Know that David was the better singer, but i love Roger's passion in Dogs, Mother, Don' leave me now, The final cut, Brain damage, and many, many, more, after all he wrote most of the best of Pink Floyd.

  • Epic song with epic sound sang by an epic singer. About those 11 that disliked this video, you guys need a life seriously. The music from Pink Floyd has had always strong psychological content. Never intended for weaklings.

  • Anyone else totally startled when the chicks started singing?

  • those singers were perfectly in sync throughout the entire show.... awesome

  • This drummer is pityfull...

  • @Downbythewater73 ...and so are you! Believe me when I say that no one would get a gig in this live band if they weren't good enough. Shame on you leaving such a stupid ass comment.

  • lowe on bass using all the frets to great effect...

  • Why argue about it?

Roger Waters is/was the songwriting genious behind Pink Floyd. He wrote (almost) all the music and he's one of the absolute top lyricist of all time.

David Gilmour is/was the guitar god and amazing voice.

They're both incredibly talented at what they do/did, and one couldn't have succeded without the other (as proven by their solo careers). They did different things that blended together perfectly in the amazing band we call Pink Floyd

As Bill Hicks would say: Case. Closed

  • @KalleEricson31 i think roger waters was quite successful after he went solo... not that im happy he went solo, but amused to death.. is a masterpiece.. ... also, his new wall tour is clear cut proof that this man has too much musical brains...

  • @koushymama Compared to his career in Pink Floyd his solo-career was far from a box office hit. I didn't say that the music wasn't good, I meant commercial success (not that's what matters anyway). My point was that the Pink Floyd members were all the most successful when they were mixed together, because they had that magic formula as a group.

Of course his new Wall Tour will be absolutely amazing (I've got first row tickets myself), but that's "Pink Floyd" songs? Not "Roger Waters solo" songs

  • @KalleEricson31 well fine, commercially of course his solo career wasnt as good.

with regards to the wall show, i meant more the PRODUCTION of the show, rather than the songs..

the songs ya, made by floyd as a group.. (though even that is mostly written by himself)... but just watch the frking show... it is absolutely mind blowing, i went twice in 3 days.. and i was contemplating going to other cities to watch it over and over again.. best stage show there will be for decades to come ..

  • @koushymama Haha, unfortunately he doesn't come here until May -11, so I'm waiting patiently to review the show, but I wasn't expecting anything but mindblowing

I'm just not sure what you're arguing for? I haven't said anything about the production, my point was about the music, and the chemistry in the band

  • @KalleEricson31 Clarifying... Roger was the songwriter, the poet. He wrote (almost) all the lyrics. David was the musician, guitar god and amazing voice!!

  • @TheAVillela Point being? x)

  • @KalleEricson31 lolz gilmour recorded bass on half of the songs lolz

  • @Kuhlyedascope69 Yet again, point being? Did I mention anything 'bout bass recordings?

  • @Kuhlyedascope69 The only song Gilmore recorded bass on was Hey You. I would really like to know what source you get your info from so I could tell them they are full of SHIT!!!

Oh, and it was Rogers idea to have David record that bass part due to the fact it was being played on a fretless. Rogers idea, Davids playing.

  • Well, besides guitars of all sorts, he plays the piano and keyboards. He plays bass (including fretless). He actually played bass guitar on many of the Pink Floyd tracks that one would assume Roger is playing on, and has indirectly won many a magazine bass-playing poll! He plays harmonica and drums, is learning saxophone, and he also plays a mean kazoo. Think Corporal Clegg and his wooden leg. On his new album, David plays a cumbus – a Turkish stringed instrument, rather like a banjo.

  • @KalleEricson31 him and sid

  • @KalleEricson31 roger waters is doing just fine with his the wall tour...

  • @KalleEricson31 Let's not forget Syd Barret, He wa the reason it all came to be.

  • @ryanwalsh69 Im gonna get blasted here, but I honestly think Syd is overrated as some kind of "mythical legend of rock"

Sure, he was the original frontman for PF and had some interesting tunes, but lets face it, it wasnt until Roger David and the rest of the band started writing DSOTM that Pink Floyd became timeless.

  • @kingwilliamorange The thing your not seeing is that both David and Roger (Waters) whole career was defined by their search for answers related to questions Syd evoked in them. For that Syd is beyond genius.....

  • @RailRocketJr Yes, I see your point. I used to be obsessed with PATGOD and I am familiar with how everything went down with Syd and how his story changed the rest of band forever, but it is still Roger David Richard and Nick that made the real good stuff.

  • @kingwilliamorange Must say I don't really like Syd either. He was good and all, but after he left, Floyd became Floyd. Without what happened to him Floyd would have not been the same, but it was Dvae, Rick, Roger, and Nick that made that great music that is still listened to today. When do you hear Scarecrow on the Radio?

  • @rushrulez1 cant argue with that, but u shudnt hate syd barrett, he went through a lot and fell apart, but waters went through even more trying to keep him together

my dad spoke with Roger Waters in the Taj hotel in India, he worked hard to keep Syd together, and was torn apart when Syd didnt recognize him when he was recording Shine on You Crazy Diamond

  • @REvenzo2 I don't hate him, and he was good and everything, but I liked floyd after Dave got there and Syd was on the way out. It's like iron maiden, Paul was a good singer, and they had great tunes, but it wasn't until Bruce came that the band became great.

  • @rushrulez1 ok, cool :)

  • @KalleEricson31

Exactly. It takes both to make the PF sound

  • @KalleEricson31 AMEN!

  • @KalleEricson31 couldn'y agree more!!!

  • @KalleEricson31 bill hicks nice

  • I do want to add to my previous post that I believe probably none of the songs we all love would sound the same, or even be as good, without the other essential band members. I apologize for sounding long-winded. I guess what I mean to say is:

    This band f***ing rocks.

  • I understand people wanting to believe that Gilmour contributed so much, I would too. But the truth, as I understand it from interviews and biographies, is that Roger Waters wrote most of the music as well.Gilmour has even admitted that he didn't contribute as much, that roger was the driving force, and dear Mr. Wright (may he rest in peace)even admits that he didn't push his material much. Roger has quite a strong personality as I understand.None of this takes away from their undeniable talent.

  • @MrGuitarNut41 That is for The Wall and Animals. But even on The Wall a lot of stuff went uncredited for others and credit went to Roger.Producer Bob Ezrin also wrote some music like Is there anybody out there? and i think he played piano in Nobody home, but overall yea i think Roger was alot more involved in Floyd than the rest of them.Still they need to make music together to sound like Floyd.

  • Do you know where and when it was taped?

Nice version but the female voices don't suit the spirit of the song at all!

  • Absolutely brilliant. Great work Roger!!!

  • i love how they made this sound fresh and new!

  • like????? R KIDDING ME!!!! this is incredible stuff my friend

  • Comment removed

  • This is a nice performance of the song.

Who is the man in the gray suit playing the electric bass guitar?

Is this footage from a DVD? If so, which one?

  • @WilliamTheBearded when u find out where to get the dvd, it has to b out there, or maybe off his web site, now this is the concert i wish i wouldve gone 2, i didnt think it would b as good as gilmores extravagent performances, boy was i wrong, this doyle brahm or whatever his name is, where did roger find him, brilliant ! when not lookin, u cant even tell the damn difference, guy's awesome for singing and playin some of gilmores parts in the songs. just wish he was doin the wall that im goin 2

  • @WilliamTheBearded TheDVD is "In the Flesh" The grey suit bassist is Andy Fairweather Lowe

  • damn this versioin with stupid backup singers sucks

  • Chapeau Monsieur Roger Waters!!!

  • Roger And David Are two Gods who Without eachother will Parish........They can only have Full Power If together.....Not just one......

  • godliness

  • @darkflamer23

Roger had an "EFFECTIVE" voice ... David has an "AFFECTIVE" voice.

  • @KarmicOmen i have already seen that comment

  • He's a genius.

  • the sum was always greater than the parts.... Pink Floyd is not what it is without the combination of Water's vision and Gilmour's voice/guitar sound. Enjoy the music for what it is and go see the music live while you still can.

  • Roger Waters, main lyricist, did not write all music. DSOTM tracks: (1) Speak To Me - Music: Nick Mason Instrumental Arrangement (2) Breathe - Music: Waters, Gilmour (3) On the Run - Music: Gilmour, Waters (4)Time - Music: Mason, Wright, Gilmour, Waters (5) Great Gig In The Sky - Music: Richard (6) Money - Music: Roger Waters (7) Us And Them - Music: Richard Wright (8) Any Colour You Like - Music: Gilmour, Wright, Mason (9) Brain Damage - Music: Roger Waters (10) Eclipse - Music: Roger Waters

  • Waters is the lyrics and the soul of Pink Floyd, Gilmour is the music and the voice of Pink Floyd...in my opinion.

  • who the hell is this faggot and why is he singing pink floyd´s welcome to the machine his probably just another poser

  • Fantastic. Roger is the best rock musican of all times! Genius!

  • the Kurzweil K2600x is a perfect synth, the ultimate, that's why it's used by him.

  • ... "It's alright we know where you've been"...

  • I have to admit, i like Gilmour and Wright the most of PF, BUT I Like Roger as brilliant song writer too. However, his voice is weak and it always was, and doesn't fit for rock music at all. For opera maybe. Gilmour version of this song played on 1989 sounds much more better, because of his voice mostly. Have nothing against Roger.

  • One of the greatests songs of Pink Floyd!

Roger Waters and David Gilmore made the group!

  • Comment removed

  • como es el nombre de este dvd?

  • roger waters is doing the wall again im so excited

those bitches fucked up the song ahha : (

  • @losercara666 Those bitches you are referring too , are some of the best backing singers in the business. Show a little respect for them, and for yourself.

  • INCOMPARABLE VOICE...

  • wow, really like this version

  • This song gives me shivers every time i hear it.

    but it's fucking beautiful!!

  • backup singers kidded it
