  • GRANDE CAZZATA SOPPRATUTTO UN OFFESA ALLE TROTE PERCHE LA PESCA SPORTIVA FA SCHIFO!

  • Perfect time to test which stupid power bait works or not

  • haha, imma go fish some rainbow trout right now :P

this made me wanna fish. xD

  • fun for the kids they cath much

  • What bait were the kids using?

  • @Alejandro15779 Worms.

  • yyou would the trout would see how all their firends are leaving yet they still get caught... oh well you never want them too smart!

  • oh well if its for the children that's OK, so fish have nerves in there cheeks?

  • it is just fun fir the kids

  • i got a fish and it was small ans see through with a blue strip down it and a narrow mouth anry ideal what it was

  • cheating!

  • great program...good people work there..even Arine!

  • @raininbc Yep! :)

  • i know thats for kids and all but i still think fishing like that is messed up.

  • @spidermonkey199711 yep thought the same thing.

  • @spidermonkey199711 i know but most kids cant even cast 5 foot in a lake so its alright but i get your purpose

  • Lol that guy in the beginning cant cast

  • the kids do leave the fish back rite???

  • how can anyone dislike this XD

  • you people are terrible! putting these fish in a such a small area and obviously your gonna hook them you morons. atleast use some skill go actual fishing. Thats like if i took my fishing rod and went fishing in my 40 gal. fish tank.... smh...,

  • not bad....id still rather take my kid out somewhere we could enjoy some fishn without bumping elbows with people. they need to learn that fish arent going to be schooled up in a little pool all the time. patience is a valuable lesson to take from fishing.

  • Thats not even real fishing thats just fish torture!

  • You do a great job with your channel. The videos are professional grade.

    Tight Lines!

  • @bjblanch Thanks! :)

  • @salemhodson same!

  • can u fly fish there that would work great

  • Comment removed

  • @hujipher That's just.... outrageous.

  • that is not fishing man, thats called "destined doom for fishes" lol

  • its for anybody

  • hahah That is so funny watching kids fish like that heheheh Just out havin fun in the sun heheh

  • it would suck if some kid throws it and tangles everyone haha

  • Ah, trout fishing with a bobber. I have fond memories of experiences like this as a kid. It was probably what spawned my life long passion for fishing. For those of you knocking this type of fishing, I feel sorry that you are bitter because you missed out on such an enjoyable experience as a kid, and that you feel it necessary to make fun of something that children enjoy so much.

  • thats no way to fish... ur fishing out of a little kids swimming pool.... i mean come on. if you want to teach your kids to fish go to a river or a lake....

  • I feel bad for those fish stuck in that pool and being fished out. They have no other source of natural food, so they HAVE to bite sooner or later. Plus, they have no coverage or space to spread out, so they are easily targeted.

  • yea..make the kids think its that easy, so when they go for real "they hate it" because they dont catch em like that in the wild....awesome

  • @TOohigh2C There are many aspects of fishing that cannot be taught until you have a fish hooked, such as adjusting drag, applying steady pressure, controlling the fish, landing or netting, etc. Given the short attention span of children, having them learn these basics on an easier medium such as this event is much better than having them get bored fishing in the wild because they get skunked and never want to fish again.

  • i would so jump in that pool and try to catch them with my hands XD

  • thats kinda of cheating but i guess it helps the kids learn :P

  • aw i wish i could go there, too bad its in canada.

  • if it was easy it wouldnt be fishing

  • ... like fish in a barrel?

  • ITS FOR CHILDREN YOU MORONS

  • this is no damn pond its more like a swimming pool god you guys are pathetic go out and fish in a real pond or river

  • this is bull, how is this fishing?? you can see em and they have no where to go??

  • I know a few spots in NB where the fishin is this easy.

All that space and no fly fishin???????????????

  • at 1:05 ITS ROBIN WILLIAMS!!! OMFG!

  • Thats kinda mean. There trapped in a pool and your hooking um? IDK maybe i am wrong

  • Sweet

  • why are so many people disliking this

this is just so little kids can go out and have fun and hopefully get hooked on fishing there not there to become the best fishermen or women in the world

  • Hmm, that´not sportfishing because there´s no sport in catching the fish. but it looks like fun for sure :D

  • This isn't fishing. It's a way to get kids and novice anglers interested in fishing. Real fishing requires a lot more skill.

  • @salemhodson Actually, when these trout are stocked into our lakes around Vancouver, fishing is just as easy. Take a look at our video "Spooning stocked rainbow trout" as an example. Cheers.

  • Thats probably the best site ever

  • yea but it seems like they only do once a yr and its for the kids so they get into the sport of fishing, little kids arnt patient they go out once and dont catch anything they wont wanna fish agien for months

  • haha.....i can catch those fish even with the hand:))

  • i love Trout

  • im taking my kids this weekend my daughter doesnt want the fish just to catch it

  • Most lakes in BC have a daily quota of trout that anglers are allowed to keep, but catch and release is also fine if anglers choose to do that. If you have questions on a specific lake or regulations, please feel free to send me an email at info @ fishingwithrod . com.

  • is this catch and release

  • great stuff!

  • Great fun! I wished I'd have had a pond full with trouts like that for fishing when I was a kid/teen ;-)) A dream come true for youngsters. Keep on the good work to make some young fishermen and fisherwomen happy :-))

  • wheres abbotsford?

  • British Columbia, Canada.

  • The kids didn't really get to fight the fish. For then it was "hook em", "lift em", and "admire them". The other ponds were proably better. Thanks for posting the vid though!

  • who fishes in a hatchery?

  • Kids.

  • Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery in Abbotsford, BC Canada.

  • haha thats great

  • awsome where is this at? i might try fishing there.

  • Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery in Abbotsford, BC Canada.

  • that looks kinda fun but you dont really get to reel in the fish

  • looks like fun

  • why use hooks when you can use jiggs..

  • Interesting looking place.

  • Dang I'd love to be there.

  • That looks so much fun!!!

  • Up here in Northern Cali we just use Salmon eggs. They work pretty well for trout/steelhead.

  • exelent day of family

  • very very cool rod

  • great stuff i hope you liked the videos yours are vgreat see you next week when we catch albacore

  • I find on stocked rainbows corn and cheese work really well and when the fish become wary put on a live worm and you'll catch fish all day long

  • fishing is cool

  • sorry, but that is absolutely disgusting. these trouts can't go anywhere, they are simply forced to get catched.

there are about 200 trouts in a small 4x4 m pool....plz stop tourturing animals like that...

  • No animal including this man leaves life without pain. Trout are often eaten by other fish, bears, raccoons, etc. Cruel? Life is cruel, death is cruel get over yourself. If you do not want to fish fine, but stop putting your values on others.

  • dude, ease up pal, its to get kids introduced to the fun of the catch....of course its easy ...and the cerebral cortex of a fish doesnt reach its brain like in humans...they feel no pain and are simply trying to get away...go get a life

  • wow did you read the begining it said that they are relesed after being breas there. it doesnt hurt them so shut up

  • I think its a great thing for the kids, fresh air and a taste of whats out there.

  • Fantastic day and wonderful vid. A five star event for a five star video...nice work! *****

Man, some of those trout were pretty big eh!

  • nvm i think they used Trout magnets, or robo worms.

  • wat did they use 4 bait

  • They were using Powerbait, or just some rubber worms, some were also using deli shrimps and worms.

  • I hope this kids were made aware that once the fishing bug bites you, it's a lifelong sentence with no chance to ever quit fishing. Once it's in your blood, you have to forget about ever being able to quit!

  • omg thats soo kool love ur vids!

  • Nice vid of a family-oriented fishing event. Were they using barbless hooks for catch and release? What kind of baits? I don't trout fish a lot but I know you can catch them with artificial flies, salmon eggs, mealy worms and stuff like that. W.Doodles

  • Yes, barbless hooks are used as they are in fact mandatory when fishing in rivers over here. In lakes, barbed hooks can be used but many lakes have a specific barbless hook regulation as well. On this day, the hatchery allowed kids to decide whether they wanted to keep a fish or release them.

  • Nice vid! I wish there was something like that around here so I can take the kids.

  • Very Cool!

  • I have always thought that the easiest way to make someone an environmentalist (or just give a hoot) is to teach them how to fish. especially catch and release. great video. reminds my that i have to take my little one fishing as soon as the weather gets warmer (suffering though winter in Oz)

  • I just discussed the weather with a friend from Melbourne last week and it has (at least last week) actually been colder in Melbourne than Vancouver Canada even though we are in the last week of our spring now. It has been a very cold spring (below 15C during the day) and only this week it is warming up, slightly.

  • I remember a "lunker" pond in Ennis, MT. that for $5 you could catch a 6+ pound GB trout. Geeze, that was 1977.

    Nice vid!

    5 stars

  • Can't beat kids and fishing-nice video

  • Great video! There needs to be a lot more programs and events like that around the country to get kids involved in fishing. Looks like they were having a blast.

  • Absolutely. This event was just one of over 50 that took place across British Columbia, Canada during the Fathers Day weekend. It has been happening since 2003 as an initiative to create more anglers in this province.
