Pretty fancy. Since I'm a poor guitarist, I pick this one out on the E and A strings, then drone on with E and Esus. You're so right - this song totally works as an acoustic cover. I can't figure out what else to do with the song other than the E and Esus - it just doesn't need anything else, does it? The song is just one long drone with the producers layering other stuff on top of it.

The tuning is DADF#AD. And it starts off 054300 - 075500 - 044300 - 055500. Everything else is pretty much based on the open strings and barre chords on the fifth fret.

Actually, I'm a big fan of Don Ross and the late Michael Hedges. Michael did a cover of Lucky Star which lead me to believe that this tune could be arranged for acoustic guitar.

I worked it out as best I could keeping what I felt were the most important elements of the William Orbit/Madonna production.

The Curtiss Maldoon original has a very early '70's psychedelic vibe to it. I didn't find the melodies to be all that similar either. You should do a search for it.
