how do u set up yafray to work on blender 2.48 everytime i set it up with yafray and hit render it just leaves me with a blacked out render box and no loading whatsoever please if n e one can help me with these probs msg me thnks
Check blenders command output, as yafray may be working, you don't get a realtime status in the render window, but the dos box does tell you how the yafray render is progressing. If not try installing yafray (or yafaray again) It's worth persevering as the results you can get are simply stunning. check out my latest render to see what I mean.
Yeah, I used Yafray 0.9 for this one, but have since upgraded to Yafaray 1.0 with the latest build of blender. It's the best renderer for glass and transparency, but I find blender internal is better for things like radiosity with reflectivity.
Took at least 12 hours, started at 10 in the morning, and it finished overnight so I don't know what time it finished. That's running on a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo on a laptop.

Did you use yafray for this render? Or just blender native? And the movie was made entirely in blender or in somehow other way?
