@AJBUCSFAN Yeah and Teles are strictly ONLY for country and Jaguars are ONLY for surf rock. Dude come on, people will what they want on whatever they want. There are no rules.
to those who say this guy should be playing a guitar, just think that maybe he's found something in the mustang that you haven't. i personally think gibsons are extremely over rated and over priced, and these mustangs just feel good and fast.
Actually right now the Mustang is all apart. Got something special I want to do to it and I'm deciding on all new parts such as tailpiece and bridge or a cleanup. The frets and fretboard after 45 years of use are quite worn. Also may change the pickups back to a more original appearing set. The Wilkinson exposed polepiece Strat pickups in it now sound good to me but the strings are very close to the polepieces with the pickups set as low as possible.
i have a 1964 fender mustang, one of the first, just that someone in the past broke the original neck, and i don't know what date it was manufactured, they told me it said 1965, but the neck plate is from a 1964 mustang. i had to restore it, even though it lost a lot of value. got for about 40 dlls, but soon i will have the orignal neck
Actually, My older brother bought the Mustang used in February of 66. It was manufactured in October of 65 so it was barely used at all. It was given to me in 73 and I still have to this day. If it ever leaves my hands it will go back to my brother,
Will you ever make a video playing your peavey special 130 amp? If so could you also so off the amp its self like close up and amp settings.....please.
If you look at my other vid with my Strat. It's played through the Special 130. I'll be moving over the next several weeks so maybe after I get setled in I'll make a new one.
No, They are Wilkinson Strat pickups. I used the bridge and middle pu's from the set of three. The middle one(used in the neck position) is reverse wound reverse polarity similar to the stock Mustang version but they are higher output. I did have to open up the pickguard holes a small amount but it's unnoticeble. Thanks for asking
ok...because i have a fender mustang 1965...but..the distortion tone...is...hm...i don't like it so much...i'm tinkin to change the bridge one with a dimarzio super distortion...i'll do it soon..
Day um! I look goofy. The scratchy sound is from the cheap camera. The beer gut is from,--- Beer. The tailpiece on my guitar is the original and you can see(somewhat)that it's very rusty from the years of use without a whammy bar. I use it more like a whammy handle and remarkable the old thing stays in tune most of the time. Someone asked me how long I've owned it. A very long time was my answer. To some it's vintage. To me it's just my old Mustang.

Sounds pretty...well, I don't have a word of current vernacular to properly communicate 'far-out'. Do I?
