I love Pelicans. Osten had better stay away from the south central Caifornia Coast. I used to live in Santa Barbara and loved watching my pelis at dusk, bomb-diving for supper. The prowess required to catch food that way causes many to never make it to adulthood, so they truly are survivor birds. They're always sunning their feathers dry on the piers in Santa Barbara county. In 20 years there, I never heard of anyone getting bit. But Osten better not visit there without some valium.

I saw on a documentary that pelis have a high mortality rate as the skill required to successfully bombdive for their daily food requires so much prowess and precision that many of them never make it to adulthood and a lot of them end up starving.

This one may have been raised by people or in need of food. It would make a great mascot for a pirate team. Don't poke it with a stick! Sheesh.

Pelis have a hard solo life. Many of them die because they don't successfully learn to bomb dive and catch food as pelis do. Many don't make it.

Rupert is mad for them giving Morgan momentum but he has singlehandedly done that more than anyone else. He taught them to fish, he was very merciful when they raided, he MADE THEM WIN IMMUNITY against his own team!
