The ubiquitous HD backfiring is a probably the result of raw unburnt fuel entering the exhaust: Kinda wasteful & unpatriotic in all considering where we get most of our oil.
HD riders have a tendency to rev-rev-rev the engine when they're stopped. Is this necessary? Also kinda wasteful & unpatriotic in all considering where we get most of our oil.
South Park - Season 13 - Episode 12 - The F Word (the 3-letter variety).
Yeah i saw it to, he didnt stop at the stop sign, lololol. WTF anyway, bike sounds smik. Im test ridin a Fat Lo this weekend, if i like it, im buyin th' F***R. Swappin for chrome switch blocks, pull back bars, V&H short shots ------------- then hittin the Aussie road man. Nice bike dude.
If you looked, you can see that I have a clear view down the street from my driveway. Also, the road only goes another block that direction so it's not like traffic would be coming at 50mph if I couldn't see them.
@arodgers84 Don't worry mate - people like that, who don't ride, wouldn't have spotted you checking down the road to your left as you turned right anyway :)
@arodgers84 sign like that near my home, roll through the stop sign on my way home, then about a minute later get pulled over, for running the sign. The cop was waaay far away, and apparently could tell that I didn't stop(must've been using binocs or something)...d-bag...
Thanks. On the '07, all I had to do was replace the risers and the bars. The brake/throttle lines were a little long coming from the mini apes, but they didn't get in the way.
Bike came stock with mid mount foot controls, and yep... took off the H-D logo on the side of the tank.
I'm 5'7" and can flatfoot both feet just fine, but the Streetbob is a little lower than regular Dyna's. If you're short, you might look at the Dyna Lowrider or Streetbob. I put 11" rear shocks on my bike and my wife could touch the ground with both feet, but not her heals (she's 5'1").
im 5'7 as well and i can reach the ground with no problems. the only problem you might encounter is if you want forward foot controls, it may put them slightly out of your reach. at least it did in my case
Yes. I think next time I'll take video while I leave a high school. Speeding in school zones is safer than blowing a stop sign 5 feet from my drive way, after all.
yeah, that guy is stupid for running that stop sign. his neighbohood looks so busy! you'd think he'd come to a complete stop pulling 40 feet out of his drive... with a CLEAR view of 100 feet in all directions of that stop sign. but... rules are rules. just like driving 56 mph in a 55 mph zone is speeding. but i doubt anyone on here would be mad for a ticket over that. ... or would they???
I'm currently usisng the original pipes. i was thinking of switching to the straight flow pipes. Do you think that will give me better top end power ? my friends told me that i will lose some torque and the pull bettwen gears won't be good and long as the original pipes. please advice.
i have a question i am looking at getting an '09 street bob and was wondering can you get a custom seat that will let you have an extra rider would appreciate the feedback
You definitely can. There are a hundred different choices for two-up seats. You will also need passenger foot pegs at a minimum, and a sissybar/backrest if your passenger wants to lean back.
If you get another seat, consider a custom seat b-4 you buy one from HD. the stock HD seats are really uncomfortable. If you order a custom seat they will conform it to your personal specifications (height, weight, ..etc) and you will be much happier with it.
Can you advise the time, date and location where you ran the stop sign. I will also need your license, registration and insurance information for the ticket. I'll mail it to you. See you in court.
Kickass bike! Where did you get the exhaust? I got an 06 bob and I'm looking for an exhaust to go on it. Thinking of V&H Shortshots but yours sounds and looks great! Also I think 2-1 gives more performance benefints, right?
Thanks! I bought them locally during a 20% off sale and got a pretty good deal.
Everything that I've seen shows that 2-1's generally perform better, but my friend has black ShortShots on his Sporty and they sound good and he's happy with them.

The drag bars are awesome. What's involved changing out the stock bars: new triple tree, risers and cables? Anything else?
Are mid controls standard on the bike or do they come stock with forwards?
Also, did you remove the badging on the tank?
Bike looks great.
