Apparently you were offended by my comment which was not the purpose. Like what I said or not it is true. I did not say that he was going to hell, please read what I siad so you can respond to what I said instead of what you feel. I'm sorry you took offense.
A truly great singer. However, let us learn a lesson. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. All that weightr is not good at all. We are managers in everyway, our bodies should be free of anything that impairs our worship. I love him too, but we have to be better temple managers.
skinny people go to hell everyday, GOD is not a respecter of persons, you dont know any of his conditions in his body, sometimes things are better left quiet than to blast a man on the internet, for his weight, he probaly did more in his short life than most christians will do who live 80 yrs,
@want2loveHim Wow...I luv how you wrote that because I totally co-sign. I guess James thought death wouldn't happen so soon...that God would continue to or eventually heal him.
Oh my...how I miss this man...I had the pleasure of singing with him in the early 90's and what a powerful annointed man of God...but I can hear that heavenly choir and oh my I know it's off the chain!!!!
I miss Rev. Moore. Some can sing and some carry a sound drenched in the anointing. My Pastor had him over for dinner one or two times and said this brother was hilarious. Loved to laugh and enjoy life it seems. Was watching the "Rev, Moore w/ Miss Mass DVD the other day and you could tell he was a character. You can be saved and still enjoy lifes best.
Now this is what needs to stay in gospel music...the ANOINTING...because it draws you closer and closer to God. And it cleanses you daily as you walk with Christ, the anointing makes the difference...and James Moore certainly had an anointing on him, no matter what your going through still give God the praise, worship, and most important YOUR TIME to Him!!! Thats all that matters!!!
Rev. James Moore's anointing grew stronger as he went through health problems. I saw him sing and preach live. He had the entire auditorium slain under the power of the Holy Ghost. There are many skilled singers. But not all singers sing under the power of the Holy Ghost.
yes!!! i remember the first time i saw him on t.v. i was floored~! His voice was out of this world. i remember what a sad day it was on the day of his funeral it was like a hush came over the city~!
Rev. James Moore is the my favorite male gospel singer of all all time. To me he is the GREATEST MALE GOSPEL SINGER OF ALL TIME. He's WAAAYYYY better than the male gospel artists today. No disrespect to the male gospel artists of today.
THIS IS BACK IN 1985 Church of God In Christ Musical @ the National Convocation. What I'm tryin to get across is our singers and our Organists was way ahead of their time. COGIC leads out in Music period point blank and it is all because of GOD's annointing.
That's like comparing apples to lemons. Besides, Y would u even post a silly comment like this? Enjoy the music & stop worrying about who's the best. God is better than both of them....There, I win.... silly...
Didnt know it was a response before, but yes this whole string of replies is silly. Why does it matter who's better? This is gospel music & there isn't room for superlatives. If you like an artist that's fine, but why the 'who's better' nonsense. Like I said, just enjoy the music & that would be easier for all of us without this nonsense. I don't wish 2 debate the issue any farther, as I realize this nonsense runs deep in the psyche of humanity & is not addressed for what it is...foolishness.
I cant wait to see him and all the others after this life is Over!!! Just think well all rise together on that great day being usherd by the angels where the Lord will recive the faithful unto himself. Thank you Jesus for your BLOOD.
James Moore was one of the most annoited and talented jewels we had in the gospel world back in the 80's. I loved when he did "The Rugged Cross". Oh my God....such a blessing missed.
The thing that was so great about him was that he was trully anointed and u could feel it through his song and praise. He sang for the lord and not for the crowd. An amazing vessel he was.
This man is just awesome! He is the vocalist period! He inspired me to start using my gift of song.I would love to have a copy of thisIt will really be a blessing.
Diabetes, he had kidney failure that caused him to go blind, and made him wheelchair bound. He died in 2000. He was still recording and performing when he was blind.
This man was 1 of the greatest 2 ever do it. So much God-Given talent went down into the grave when this man left!!! Range, and those runs... alot of artist try 2 imitate wat James did and its not the same!
I loved James but Frank Williams was my boy. I met James and he said Frank was his mentor. I never would have heard of James if it had not been for the Mississippi Mass Choir-that great Choir.
Before there was J. Moss, and these other artist. There was Mr. James Moore! He is great.I love his creativity, grace, and they way he really minister a song by not sing but telling what thus said the Lord.
OK this man is RIDICULOUS!!! Ya'll this was the 80's with hiim playing with riffs and runs like that. There weren't many doing this back in those days. That "There" between 8:03 and 8:07 was just stupid!!!!
This man will forever be one of my favorites! 8:03-8:07 was stupid, but 10:10-10:25 was mindnumbing! Gospel singers ain't in it like him and John P. Kee used to be back in the day.
I've commented on a james moore clip b4 when he sang i'll rise again with the late & the great dr. mattie moss clark directing. This is 1 of the greatest voices ever regardless of a specific type of music. He is 1 of the greatest ever, may he rest in peace.
And I say YES LORD we do worship you.
