From the scenes, I'm guessing in this movie this guy was a famous or upcoming boxer married to this woman. Perhaps he got a brain injury or suffered some sort of trauma to his head and was told not to fight again, but at the end of the film I can assume he did get into another street brawl, maybe from a heckler that teased him for his fall from glory, and died, leaving his wife pregnant. Is that close?
