  • Aww, such a sweet tribute. I really liked the clips you had in there of 'childhood flashbacks', too (some I recognised, from the film The Cowboys?). Nicely edited, too.

I still miss Pete Duel, decades on... Thanks so much for making this fanvid!

  • RHCInderella, you make wonderful videos! The chemistry between Pete and Ben you have shown in this video is awesome! I LOVE this video....but I guess I'll have to settle for the like button!

  • Hey! Great video. :) Can you tell me what episode the clip at 0:59 came from?

  • Great vids of the beautiful, sexy boys, such great chemistry and love the bit where Ben/Curry covers Pete/Heyes eyes to try and stop him looking at those women in the water - naughty boys!! heehee, such a great series. thank you for putting this on here.

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • awww...be still my heart! those boys are too sexy for words!!!!! love the all the videos

  • Hey what's happening to either Kid or Heyes at 2:45 or 2:46 in the video?

  • @RAGirl49 They're being chased by El Clavo, and Kid just got shot. 'Journy from San Juan' is the episode that it's from.

  • Love the song and love the program!!

  • Hello. It's been a while but I had to comment again.

This video really highlights the special on-screen chemistry between Pete and Ben and it's a rare thing to see. I recently saw a clip of Ben and he said that he did other projects after AS&J, and he searched hard for that same kind of on-screen chemistry he shared with Pete, but he has NEVER found it again.

Their on-chemistry is what made this series great, why I've been a fan since the 80s and why I visit youtube as often as I do:)

  • Simply perfect. Thank you for making this. The relationship between these two stong men has always amazed me. They are not afraid to show their love and affection for each other and they are always touching each other. You've captured that aspect of their relationship perfectly. Peter and Ben had a chemistry that can't be faked or duplicated. I love them so much. Wonderful vids like this are what keep Pete's memory alive. Beautiful job.

  • I keep watching it over and over. your editing is pitch perfect. you are so very talented, I hope you are doing this IRL! I'm experiencing another loss that is bringing up this old one again, and this is so comforting.

  • absolutely wonderful :). It makes me feel happy evertime i watch it.

Question though, there's another episode where a snake bites one of their horses right? or am i just thinking of the scene in you vid?

  • @lieutenantxlettuce The bounty hunter is the episode where the snake bites the horse.

  • Happy Birthday Pete.

At 1:35 we get to see some nice 'drawing' action by Heyes. When the Kid's draws it's usually editted - you see Kid's hand near the gunbelt, you see the other guy reach for his gun, then the gun in The Kid's hand so we don't really get to see him draw.

But we get to see Heyes draw, and what a beauty it is - fluid movements, classic draw, great lines and quite frankly Duel made it look sexy and cool!

How many times can you say that about a man pulling a gun?

  • And the really sexy "Leave it!" *rawr*

  • You know it!

    Phwaarrr!

  • Pete Duel was the most talented actor God ever created. He gave him extra special talents I think. He was born to act. He was also the most handsomest man I've ever seen on TV or in real life. He stands out above the rest. I read his biography written by Paul Green, and it just made me love Pete that much more. I think he was such an awesome person. Happy 70th birthday to Pete tomorrow in heaven! WE LOVE YOU PETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't help watching this without a smile on my face. Pete Duel would be 70 this year! Wow.

There are lots of good looking actors out there, but they seem to only have a two expressons on their faces. Pete seemed to have about 50 different expressions - not that many actors can show you what they're thinking facially. Pete could show a whole range in a few seconds.

    Thanks for your excellent videos.

  • Another good one! Nice song choice

  • Wonderful video

  • Thats a really nice Video <3

I just love them both :D

  • Oh, my heart just melted. What a wonderful video. Thank you for creating and sharing this. Those boys never fail to make me smile.

  • I joined YouTube specifically so that I could tell you how much I really love this vid. The use of "childhood" clips is brilliant and very well done. Their affection and devotion to each other really shines through in this. I've watched it several times since I discovered it this morning, and it makes my heart scrunch every time. Beautiful job! :)

  • @EquuZombie I definately agree with your comments, this is one of the best videos of the two of them I have seen, besides the one Bless the Broken Road and also the Poncho and Lefty one, there are others as well....The affection and devotion really does shine through. I don't think i will tire of this video and watch it all the time, thanks.

  • I especially like the black and white sequences, which shows (to me) "boys to men." Nice work!

  • Beautiful video.:) I love the kids you chose for them, they fit perfectly. And all the clips are wonderful.

What episode is the clip from near the beginning where the Kid is lying in a barn and Heyes looks like he's shouting at someone? I haven't seen that one.

  • Thank you so much for all your kind comments! I'm glad you liked the video!

That clip is from The Night of the Red Dog, Season 2.

  • @IFavorFire Night of the red dog....
