  • Great video. I love New York! <3

  • May I please have permission to use this in one of my videos? I would give full and complete credit to the maker. Please let me know! I love the video.

  • No, sorry! This is original footage created by myself, and I don't want it being used in other videos. Sorry! Glad you like the video though, thanks!

  • @diskojez

    Why not!?

  • good job!

  • The part with the air traffic is specially beautiful. Great work!

  • Thank you!

  • I see the air traffic that passes above the city, and i think its a bad idea...

It would be a good idea to make the air traffic lines, avoid the city, so it can prevent any catastrophic disaster like.............9.11.......

The planes could be easily spotted if...

Ive never been in new york and i dont know wheres the setting of the airport, but i think they can make this sacrifice....

    Yea, i fail.

  • Does anybody know where the shot at 1:02 was taken from

  • It was taken from "The Top of the Rock!" Basically on top of the Rockefeller Building.

  • Thank you!

  • I believe it was taken at the Rockefeller plaza.

  • I want to move to newyork I live in D.C :(. fucking obamas house.

  • @ZONKACO LOL!.

  • This was an amazing video! I've seen several time lapses but this is definitely top notch. You really capture the liveliness and visual beauty of New York! I wish you luck on all your future endeavors! You'll go far!

  • Thank you very much, very kind comments indeed!

  • Excellent video, I especially like the avenue bit from 1:32 to 1:45!

I'd quite like to ask you something, I have seen a few videos like this one and yours is one of the best!

I am making lyrics video about 'The Strokes', and I think your video would be a perfect backdrop, especially as The Strokes come from NYC :D.

Basically what I am trying to say is, if you'd give me permission to use your video in my videos, (only those few seconds), I would give you full credit and I'd be very grateful!

  • ...1:02 is so cool with all the planes coming in (or leaving)...

  • thanks!!!

  • yeh it looks like summit outa the future :P

Proud to live in New York :)

  • WoW! beautiful video!! and very beautiful City !! I hope to visit New York one day!

  • Hey mate, beautiful piece of art its simply amazing excellent music.. how did you shot it with 400D, i mean did you used some timer remote or any software??

  • Many Thanks!!! I used a pclix lt100, which is an intervalometer, and highly recommended for a 400D.

  • nice one, especially the skyline by night around 1 minute. btw, what are those small flying stars then? Planes? seems weird.

  • Thanks! Yes, those small flying stars are planes. There is a flight path leading to LaGuarida airport I think, which goes almost directly over Manhatten.

  • aah that explains it all :). It almost looks like gunfire :O on like futuristic movies hehe. Hey by the way, how u make such time lapses? You just keep the camera running for long and then accallerate time on e.g. Premiere Pro or something? cause it looks stunning. Keep up the good work. Peace.

  • No, this is all shot with a Canon EOS400D digital SLR camera. I took one photo every 5 seconds, and then put all of the photos together into a movie using Quicktime Pro. It gives much better control of the picture (light trails from planes etc), and the possibility to make stuff easily in HD. Check out my other stuff for more timelapse clips, and also check out "milapse", as he gives some excellent advice on how to make timelapse clips yourself. ;-)

  • Very nice work mate...and cracking tune!!! ;)

  • Nice Jez! Love the high night shot 8-) Has to be a blast shooting there... peas, J
