I'm as big a Chuck Liddell fan as the next guy, and I thought he was phenomenal in the fight up until he got knocked out. In my opinion, the question is not whether he 'can' still fight (he obviously can physically) but 'should' he still fight. The guy's suffered 3 brutal knockout losses (to Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua, and now Rich Franklin) in a row. And if he doesn't stop, there might be permanent damage. Yeah but the old liddel would have took that shot and it would have barely hurt him. The ice man's style is to just swing away and take huge punches without getting knocked out. He is way too old to change his style completely. And at this point, there is no real chance he will ever compete for the title again, so there is no reason for him to fight again.

i really did think that liddell was going to win that fight against franklin. if his chin wasnt messed up from all his battles, than he ddefinitly had that shit. he ran out there like a warrior and looked like he was guna knock franklin the fuck out!!! liddell will always be a legend. no matter what people say, he made the ufc what it is today.

I'm as big a Chuck Liddell fan as the next guy, and I thought he was phenomenal in the fight up until he got knocked out. In my opinion, the question is not whether he 'can' still fight (he obviously can physically) but 'should' he still fight. The guy's suffered 3 brutal knockout losses (to Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua, and now Rich Franklin) in a row. And if he doesn't stop, there might be permanent damage. As much as I hate to say this, I think its time for the Iceman to call it quits.

No offense taken sir. Watch the Danzig/Wiman fight and also the Kingsbury/Nover fight. Both were horrible stoppages. And also Matt Brown/Pete Sell fight went on way way too long. Steve does tend to let fights go to long sometimes but he doesn't ever stop them early. Mario I don't think is all that bad, he makes a couple iffy calls now and then but nothing overwhelmingly bad. Lavigne just has a horrible track record from the fights I've seen him ref.

Yeah but the old liddel would have took that shot and it would have barely hurt him. The ice man's style is to just swing away and take huge punches without getting knocked out. He is way too old to change his style completely. And at this point, there is no real chance he will ever compete for the title again, so there is no reason for him to fight again.

Does anyone else think that it is pathetic that Dana White put Chares Lewis in the UFC Hall of Fame, right next to legends like Randy Coulture, Royce Gracie? Charles Lewis is the owner of Tapout clothing and this is just a disgracfull marketing ploy that dishonors the men who fought and bled to get that title. Shame on you Dana, Oh, BTW, I have not been in a fight since 9th grade but I would love to get into the UFC Hall of fame too. Exactly how much is it going for these days?

Regardless if Chuck were to fight tito..which i can't see that happening where would he take it from there.. I am a big Chuck liddell fan but it seems pretty obvious that time has taken its toll on his chin.. He did well in his last fight but unfortunatley lost..
