I actually have almost every ingredient you listed (except ginger) so I will be trying this out tonight. I bought a vitamix recently and this week I kinda went nuts on produce-buying and needed a recipe to get everything used up all in one go. Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video. I've tried to make juice this way a few times, but always ended up with a thick paste-like consistency. I think my problem all along has been my blender. Vita-mix it is.
Yep! If you're going to make juice with a blender, a Vita-Mix really is the only option. They're a little pricier, but you get so much value out of them. You keep finding new ways to use it, it's amazing. Plus, they're built to last, and have a long warranty. So it's either buy a cheap blender and replace it within a year or two, or buy a Vita-Mix and have it for life.
If you do decide to try one out, you can get a free-shipping code on any of the Vita-Mix links on my website!
@draemalic All you have to do is put the carrot juice through muslin and sqeeze...this will give you the pure juice without the bits.:-) Vitamix is the best around so dont go changing your machine.
Hi I am new Vitamix user. I did have Brevielle Juicer but I was sick of the clean up. Plus I wanted to digest whole fruits and veggies. I was really disappointed on my first juicing attempt. I ended up w/ carrot soup. The Vita heated up my OJ ,ginger, apples. I've been so gun shy I haven't touched it since b4 Christmas. Do you find you MUST use ice in order to make sure you 1 have juice consistency (as suppose to smoothie which I don't want) and 2 to make sure your ingredients don't heat up?
I feel your pain on the juicer. I can't stand cleaning up those things after every juice either!
Juicing with the Vita-Mix is definitely different, it takes a little getting used to and some experimenting to get it exactly how you want it.
My first attempts were exactly how you're describing! So don't worry! :D
To answer your question, yes you need to use ice when juicing with the vita-mix. It keeps everything cool and makes it juicer. Just keep trying, you'll get it!
@EuropeNDB Hi Neal, You can totally use whole apples, I didn't have any that night though haha. But when you make juice with the Vita-Mix you usually need to add some kind of liquid and I think apple juice gives it a good flavor :D

Hi Guys why didn't you use a couple of whole apples rather than the apple juice?
Thanks Neil
